18-August-2022 :

Today I had to get down from my hill and go to the small town/large village, which is the capital of my county, about 25 kilometres-15.5 miles from me.
I took the opportunity to visit my friend "Capi", and to have a look at his tomatoes in the little garden in his humble courtyard... It's a pity: one more year, and without knowing how, the bushes that like to smoke hippies, dreadlocks rastas and legionary soldiers, have sprouted again among the tomato plants...Another year that his orchard ends up as a ganjanal.

Three big ones, and one small one.
The big ones are already over 3 metres-10 feet high.
(Last year he had one over 5 metres-16'5 feet tall: the storks almost had to be scared away so that they wouldn't nest, je, je...):

Wow! Your friend has a veritable jungle of three plants! Beautiful gardens my friends.
Stay stoneder.

26-Agosto-2022

Back on my hill again, wattering in "The Dogs' House".

Zamaldelica fem (Zamal x Golden Tiger, A.C.E.; born 19-May).
She will be 1'65 metres tall. She is now the tallest; she has far surpassed Flash Back, and slightly King Congo (both born 4 days earlier), although King Congo is much more branched. It seems to want to burst into flower. I have started to bend it in a westerly direction.
It has pruned the 3 lower nodes (6 twigs):

26-August-2022 :

King Congo
(Congo Point Noire x South African Ciskei, Tropical Seeds Company; born 15 May).

It has been overtaken and slightly surpassed in height by Zamaldelica, although it is still by far the most branched. It will measure about 1'60m.

The lower 5 nodes (10 twigs) have been pruned:

2-September-2022

My friend "Capi" is certainly a curious grower (as well as a character)... He's 63 years old, and he was already growing when there were no commercial seeds for sale here: usually Moroccan kiffi-beldia, and some Mexican or Colombian, and hybrids between them.

On 2-September I went to his ganjanal to water, as "Capi" had to go on a trip and asked me to come by one day in his absence:

What a beautiful place! Your friend and i are almost the same age. His plants look quite at home and show it by their prodigious growth. My climate is similar and is often compared with that of the Mediterranean. I love your pen name. It rang a bell that last rang in my school daze. Haha. Enjoy your day.
Stay stoneder.

...I seem to remember... that while I was one day in Alcalá de Toledo, a young man came to sell an old book, and some letters and papers to a ragman; and as I am very fond of reading, even if they are torn papers lying in the streets, and carried away by this natural inclination of mine, I took one of the letters that the young man was selling, and I saw it with characters that I knew to be Arabic charecters.
And since, although I knew them, I could not read them well, or whether it was Arabic or Aljamaic Castilian, I looked around to see if there was an aljamaic Moorish who could read them to me, and it was not very difficult to find such an interpreter; for even if I looked for a
translator of a language written in even older characters, I would found one...
Finally, as luck would have it, I found one who, having told him of my desire and placed the ramshackled book in his hands, he opened it at random in the middle and reading
a little of it, he began to laugh:
It was the "History of Don Quixote of La Mancha", written by Cide Hamete Benengeli, a wise Arabic-La Mancha's man and historian...
...I bought all the papers and letters from the boy for half a real; and I took the aljamaic Moorish to my house, where in little more than a month and a half, for two arrobas of sultanas' dry grapes and two bushels of wheat, he translated all the papers, which dealt with a certain Don Quixote, into the Castilian language without being aljamaic ...

Note: "Aljamaic": "aljamiado": Spanish written with the Arabic alphabet (or Arabic written with the Latin-Castillian alphabet); person able to read/write aljamaic Spanish.

7-September-2022 :

Forgive the defects in the quality and framing of the photos, but the luminosity of the day prevents almost totally to see what appears on the screen of the mobile phone.

Of my three "big" and almost contemporary plants (born between 15 and 19 May), the Flash Back (Flo x White Widow; Sweet Seeds; born 15-May) is, logically, the most advanced in flowering, and the smallest in size.
The lower 3 nodes (6 twigs) have been pruned.

It looks like it can be harvested before the arrival of October. Its smell has intensified a lot; now it is clearly sweet and sour (White Widow type), with a slight finish between lemon and strawberry (although it seems that day by day, the strawberry finish is gaining intensity over the lemon...). I think my specimen is more similar to the more asativated "phenos" of White Widow, than to any "pheno" of Flo:
