Slammy Pajammy's Indoor Organic Supersoil Ladies, 2019! 2nd Ever!

Yesterday's flower update:
Temp: 18-32 degrees
RH: 41-53%

Still creeping up a little hot in the plant room, so I've put the dehumidifier on a timer now, so it should just run all night and not during the day. If temps are too high before we're even in to summer and stuff, I may have to look at reversing my light schedule (after this run is finished) and flowering the ladies overnight instead of during the day

I might also consider getting another timer and dropping the veg plants down to 18/6 so the viparspectra is off in the middle of the day when it's hottest. We'll play it by ear, we've still got plenty of passive options to reduce heat!

But we are still looking beautiful! I got probably about 2L of water in each of these, with some antimatter (high powered organics), bio boost, a little seaweed extract, and just a touch of bloom nutes.

I unfortunately did notice a line of ants trundling up and all over some of the Chocolope, so i pulled out the loupe and had a really good look for any explosion of aphids. I didn't see anything, but it's very suspicious to me that suddenly there are this many ants interested in being here... and only on the Chocolope! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled hard, because I do NOT want to have a sudden aphid infestation take over now!! We're far enough into flower that my options to combat them are somewhat limited, but also far enough from harvest that aphids could really proliferate if left unchecked.

Yesterday's veg update:
Everybody is looking pretty good over here! Gave everybody a bit of water with some seaweed extract, myco powder, and a different microbial booster from high-powered organics that has some aloe extract and other goodies that are supposed to be geared towards veg and seedlings. Hopefully they enjoy it!
20201005_212329.jpg

I also went a little crazy with Diatomaceous Earth after seeing the potential for aphids in the flower tent... might as well go crazy with all the plants that still have that option. I might also get some more white oil with potassium soaps of fatty acids and start treating these ladies again, so I can try and knock down any potential infestation while they're still smaller

Today's flower update:
Temp: 22-28 degrees
RH: 46-74%

Flowers are looking SO good! I think we're somewhere between 3 and 4 weeks now. I'll lift the pots again tomorrow or the next day to see if they are ready for some more water yet. I tied down the canopies a little more, just to open them up and try and even out the heights of all my tops

I also spent a good amount of time checking alllll over the plants in the tent and in the closet, trying to make sure I didn't see any aphids or anything too sinister. I put a bunch of corn starch around the base of the Chocolope and it completely eradicated those pesky ants!

I was a little apprehensive to do anything too drastic to the ants at first, because they will often keep the wings of aphids clipped so as to keep farming them for honeydew; meaning if there was already aphids established, they will just grow wings and spread to the rest of the nearby plants without the ants. However I've had a close enough look at enough of the plants that I'm pretty confident we're OK!

Today's veg update:

Made it home a little too late to get into the flower tent, but i did give them some water earlier today and can't wait to see how they react to it

But today's thrilling news is: finally got the veg tent up!! Now we are all up and running!!! Trained down the big ladies, and i am loving the colour and vigour on them

These flowers are looking amazing!! Definitely packing on a little more each day, so i can't wait to see how they'll finish out!!

The Chocolope smells so strongly peachy... it's not at all what I expected from her, but it's still beautiful! The strawberry cough is much sweeter and more similar to the girl scout I've been growing, and the super lemon is very characteristically lemony and citrus. They're kind of a weird mix of smells when you pull open the tent door haha but when i strip a leaf or anything, each one individually smells amazing :thumb:

20201009_001549.jpg
20201009_001544.jpg

One of our little seedlings isn't looking very happy after the up-potting. I think the stress of some of the bottom roots growing into the egg carton and then being removed may have hurt her a bit. But she'll probly bounce back if i give her some time
20201009_001541.jpg

I keep tricking myself into thinking I see growth on the clones... maybe they are starting! But at any rate, I'll let them sit for long enough to fill out the little cups with roots and start to establish some real new growth each day before doing anything

Yesterday's flower update:
Temp: 15-33 degrees
RH: 43-71%

Getting some reasonably extreme temp and humidity swings. Hope it's not too stressful on these girls. I got a couple litres of water in each of these, with a little bloom nutes for the super lemon to try and help with what looks like a K deficiency

The other exciting news is that I got an alfalfa mulch mix from the local hydro store, and it's meant to rid the tent of all the bugs... it's still early to say super definitively, but i haven't seen a single gnat since application so far!

Plants looking so great! Did a bit of super cropping to keep that canopy nice and even, and mulched all the friends to help with the gnat situation. Also gave everybody a good watering, and we'll see how they respond from here!

Two clones have also sprouted a big old taproot, so we are in business!!

Today's flower update!
Temp: 17-33 degrees
RH: 45-84%

Whew, glad to be back! Haven't had a chance to breathe the last week, so haven't made it in on a bit. Flowers are plugging away beautifully! I shamelessly chopped the super lemon SUPER early because we are desperate... xD haha i figured it would be better to chop some and actually dehydrate it, instead of continuing to chop little bits and quick drying them in the panini press every so often for the next few weeks and keep stressing her. She tastes pretty good though and has an almost licorice-y smell with the lemon citrus now that she is dry.

Also had to tear down the tents yesterday for our real estate agent to come and do a routine inspection, so it's been hectic tearing the entire room down overnight and deep cleaning, then getting it back up again within 12 hours haha. But I'm happy with how it's come back together, and the chance to deep clean was good

Anyway! The Chocolope and strawberry cough are back up and running in the flower tent, and looking so good. I gave them probably 3 litres of water each today with some bio boost, and topped up the mulch a little with some fresh stuff once it had dried a little. This has been KILLER for the bugs!!! High Powered Organics is really onto this loving organics stuff, I'm really glad my hydro store got me into them.

THIS MULCH; it's unbelievable, I highly recommend any and everybody use it if you can get your hands on it :thumb:

Today's veg update:
Big ladies are looking unbelievable!! I gave them a watering as well after moving them back into the tents, and then topped up the mulch on everybody in the veg tent as well.

20201022_202519.jpg
20201022_202524.jpg

I spread probably about 6 litres between these three plus all the little plants currently in the tent! I put some of High Powered Organics' Green Supreme, which is a magic powder my hydro store turned me on to. With this stuff, i haven't needed to brew any teas yet for these ladies, and they all EXPLODE after using it.

I also wanted to put some egg shell ferment, as one of these gals has some rust spots starting in the older growth, and this stuff looks beautiful!
20201022_164939.jpg

But tragically could not get the lid off! hahaha so i managed to find the last little bit of my last batch, but I'll need to gain access to these two jars! They've got little water-trap fermentation lids, so they shouldn't be locked on with pressure...

I then went to TOWN bending and tying them down to start pulling all these competing colas back over the other side of the pot to cover all my pot space. Took a while getting everything done to my liking, but this should get them very ready to take off!! I've been super-cropping my plants for the majority of my grows, and I think it's an effective addition to LST to train your plants to fit your space!

Today's baby update:

Cut another 7 clones today doing some of my training and tidy up on the big ladies, as I had some big success getting some great roots out of 3 of the first batch! Woohoo!

So I up-potted the 3 little rooted clones and gave them a good watering in their new little pots! What great roots!

Today's flower update:
Temp: 13-31 degrees
RH: 46-79%

Got a little cold last night with the window open in the room, but I'm not too worried. These ladies look SO good!! :') the Chocolope is really filling out and thickening up, but the strawberry cough is SPARKLY!
20201025_224948.jpg
20201025_224954.jpg

I felt the pots again today and they still have some weight to them, so I won't water quite yet. I was impressed with how much water I was able to get into them without having hardly any run-off, so that was great! I think its a combination of upgrading to a proper sprayer, and this mulch! It's got some additions like yucca extract to break the surface tension of the water and allow the soil to be more easily coated and absorb it all. Definitely seems to have made an immediate noticeable impact for me and my soil mix!

I think we're heading into week 7 sometime this week, so will probably be starting to scope trichs in the next week or so!!

Today's veg update:
Not much to report here. Quite a few of the very newest clones are looking a bit sad, but the three little seedling babies are looking fantastic along with the three oldest clones! So I've got six to play with for the next cycle! And then a staggering as clones come off the veg ladies as they get bigger... this could go on forever! :')
I also got 4 little solo cups filled with soil, and then sat them all deep in a tray with a water/ green Supreme mix so that the soil would saturate with it. Then I'm going to pop some white widow seeds into them and plan to chuck them outside and see what happens! :thumb:

20201025_224801.jpg

The big ladies are looking beautiful. I did shuffle them around a bit, and the one in the middle is looking a little sad now that she's getting blasted by the middle of the viparspectra, so I've turned all three spectrums down a little and will see how she looks tomorrow

Today's flower update:
Temp: 14-24 degrees
RH: 70-76%

Temperature is a little more where I want it now that I've got the veg tent asleep for 6 hours in the middle of the day. That should help prepare us for summer! But humidity is definitelyyy too high for my liking. We are getting smashed with rain and it is hard to combat that much humidity haha

On the plus side though, I whipped out the scope on these ladies today and they look SO good!! I'm thinking the strawberry cough may be ready VERY soon here! I'm seeing a wholeeee lot of cloudy and not really much of any clear left!! I'll keep a close eye on her and pull her before she goes amber, to keep her nice and zippy

Today's veg update:

Got in and did some more training on the big girls to keep the canopy nice and even so i can pull those big tops right across the pot and cover the entire pot space with tight nodes. All three have broken apical dominance on the main stem now, so in a little bit of time we should see more of these supporting shoots thicken right up! I also cut a couple stray little shoots off and defoliated lightly

Today's veg update:

Whew, it has been so busy lately that I haven't even had time to breathe, let alone get into my plant room!! I had so much built up to do, that it took quite a bit of time over the last few days to get all caught up and back on track, but I'm pretty happy so far with where we are at with everybody!!

I gave a big watering across all of the veg ladies, and they took about 6 litres of water spread between all of them. Will need to get some more mulch to cover all the new pots!

I've spent some time getting a bunch of new plants up-potted, so we have 3 clones now that have rooted and just come out of the solo cups (plus another 3 that look promising, but no roots yet)
20201109_182252.jpg

I've also got 3 older seedlings that are starting to look very nicely established and are getting very ready to be topped! Let the training begin! One of them went into the big fabric pot and will stay there through flower, so training can happen straight to the pot. Along with that are 3 of my oldest clones that are looking like great little bushy baby plants! If I can get cloning down, it's game over!! :thumb:

20201109_182257.jpg

Today's flower update:
Temp: 18-29 degrees
RH: 39-56%

So the saga of the first three beautiful sativas has just about drawn to a close! The strawberry cough came down about a week ago because we are extremely impatient, and the Chocolope is just waiting to get the chop! The strawberry looked normal except for a bubblegum pink colour under the fan leaves, and the Chocolope has coloured up nicely just in the last few days!

Looking fat!! She did take longer to cloudy up than the strawberry, so I'm hoping it will be worth the wait! She has been teasing us with the smell of peach candy for too long!!

The new two ladies went into the flower tent yesterday (08/11) so they got a pretty good defoliation today to open up those bud sites, and we'll see how they go in the next few weeks! I'm pretty happy with their shape already, so these should be some pretty flowers! They got probably about 3L of water each today with some egg shell ferment, Epsom salts, and some of the purple magic powder. Now we just sit back and wait!

RH: 26-60%

Whewwww! Have been so ridiculously busy as of late, I have not had a moment to breathe or update. Everything is moving along smoothly though!! I've been keeping up on the watering in the flower tent this time round, as i think I've been a little inconsistent and typically underwater in the past. These ones should be the best yet!
20201206_203329.jpg
20201206_203324.jpg

Just moved the third into the flower tent today, at week 4 for the other two. Did some fairly heavy defoliation and gave them all a good dose of water. The 4 week girls got bio boost, and the day-1 girl got some of the green supreme. I didn't keep track of what these ladies were when I popped the seeds down, but i think they should be one each of the strawberry cough, Chocolope, and super lemon haze! Should be able to tell when they start to really smell ;D
