Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Family is good, except my son's freshman year in college is in the exact same place as his last semester of high school...first door on the left off the living room :).

Pretty quiet in the garden at the moment. Summer grow is down (one plant hit 2.6g/day!) and the winter grow is only 32 days in. Just started with the StankClips®. Not sure what to do with all the spare time! I'd help trim if I was closer. :high-five:
I'd take that help!! LOL, its all fun and games until its trim time!! I have a nice new process now that has made this a much less intense process....though it takes longer to finish.

Dropped 9 beans this morning with Lopin. Cleaning the tents and dungeon over the next few days. And I'm working on retirement. I do know I'll be working 40 hours max or won't be accepting any offers. Done with it.
Amen there brother.....working more than 40 hours a week for anyone else is just lunacy in my mind anymore. We only have a finite amount of time.....make it count brother!

Harvest pics from Saturday

Rainy day here today so not a lot I can do today and I am taking most of the day off from trimming so I figured I would try to get some pics up from the past weekend's harvest.

We took down the big Jack Herer, the Afghani from Sensi Seeds (Her stem got snapped at the base during the tropical storm but we nursed her to the finish line), the KBTF (Kushberry Thunderfuck) from Stank Genetics, the Super Silver Haze from Greenhouse Seeds, and lastly the small Durban in a 5 gallon fabric pot from Sensi Seeds.

We did up 4 racks of ribs and made an afternoon of it. @FutRfarmer was kind enough to come over for a second weekend of Stank abuse and I sent him home with a rack of ribs and bunch of buds. A good time was had by all....well as good of a time as harvesting can be.

Everything is hanging in the basement and will start coming off the stems tomorrow. Ms Stank is a very happy woman.....she has her deck back (Mr Stank won't be growing big girls on the deck next year.....compromises :cheesygrinsmiley:)

This leaves us with two big girls still growing despite the rainy and cold weather. We still have the Blue Dream from Humboldt Seed Organization and a BIG BIG BIG DTF girl from our own line. I should have probably chopped the DTF but I wanted to push that line and see what it can tolerate in outdoor conditions. I am starting to see a bit of bud rot on some of the underneath growth (which got snipped) so I might be chopping her much sooner than later. Originally I had thoughts of trying to get her to go until the 25th but I don't see that happening. She might be coming down as soon as I can restock my H2O2 for bud washing.

Speaking of bud washing....if you look in the last couple pics, you can see the trash cans that were used for bud washing these monsters LOL. The 20 gallon one wasn't big enough, it was requested from my help that we upgrade to another 30 gallon bucket and ditch the 20.

And then of course we also have to sneak in a shot of my dude.

He's up in my business no matter what I do LOL. I can't move without him getting up to go with me. Need to pee? I get an escort. He knows the sound of the jars being unscrewed and knows we are going outside as soon as he hears that sound LOL. Gotta love it!

And thanks on the SSH......I like that pic. I'm waiting for my buddy to email the pics he took to see if there are any good ones. Did you grow anything outdoors this year Penny?

Here in LA it takes 2-4 years for my pineapples to flower. A few were tops but most were slips from mother plants. All from one Maui Gold we brought back about 10 years ago!
Nice! :high-five: I'm in the tropics and it still takes 2-3 years, on average. I had grown a few tops in containers previously but since I started turning my backyard into a "food forest" I've been using them as fillers and, like with MMJ, spent some money on some good genetics! :D

I have four White Jade that were started as tissue cultures that are already two years old and still have at least another year, maybe even two, before they fruit.

Then, I recently spent $125 to have three Kuai Sugarloaf Pineapples shipped from Hawaii (on a deal, I was able to get a 4th one for free that was too small for them to sell). It's a helluva price to pay for three pineapples but these are the most incredible tasting you'll find and don't taste anything like what you get in the stores and a very interesting backstory. I was successful at rooting all four tops (the only reason I spent that money was for the tops! ;) ) and you can bet your a$$, for the money I spent, they're getting babied like my keeper strains!

Both varieties are white fleshed with edible cores.

I saw some pink pineapples on the television last night. I think they were priced at like 60 bucks a piece. I love me some pineapple....but not sure I could convince myself to pay that for a pineapple.
