InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

Har! A main advantage I have is that I don't need a flat canopy since they're grown in the sun. Also, I carry them outside every morning and inside every night, which leaves the training options pretty limited. I usually top above the 8th node, take off the first, and hold the tops flat until the lowers grow up enough that I figure I can just make it through the door twice a day in flower. :)
I truly wish outdoor growing was an option for me, but if the state I live in ever legalizes, it'll be one of the last strongholds to relent.
That said, I do enjoy the diversity of your gardening endeavors...

Slightly different human use drug for a slightly different plant but I read something yesterday that cut flowers last much longer in a vase if you add a crushed up Viagra pill. Stand up straighter for longer, petals don’t wilt so soon. I’ll look up the composition of it. Maybe has Mono Silic in it?

Was the article published on the 1st day of the 4th month 🤔
I would have thought to keep it watered sufficiently the female version Niagra would work better.

Yeah I know the Daily Fail… but based on a study.

Other weird places cannabis came up in my reading yesterday was this really bad thriller I’m reading, spin off to an OK series I’ve been reading for 20 years. Guy ends up in Humboldt County, whole scenes are lifted verbatim from the Netflix show Murder Mountain. The scene in the car park at the motel with “amateurs” with black bin bags, its like the guy made notes while he watched the show then just wrote those notes down. I’m sure I recognise bits from Leafly and the RQS blog too. Word for word.

I think Niagra makes it wet enough to use less water haha

Best of luck with your new testing! It sounds like a great idea!
I hope it works out for you , from the sidelines I watch
Thanks guys!

I've gone back over my previous calculations and decided that none of them are correct since I have no clue how molar weights and dilution percentages in grams work, even with many different online calculators! I skipped chemistry in high school but even after all of this I don't regret it. :)

I found some more info here:

They used 1.5 tablets (488mg) in 2 gallons (7.6L), which works out to 64mg/L.

I'm going to try to find my ppm meter (and new batteries) and see what 300ppm salicylic acid looks like by weight. That should give me an average to work with.

Thanks guys!

And here I was working up the courage to ask you if you are a chemist

I'm a science junkie and I was reading the ingredients in Viagra. 10% multi vitamin mixture and 90% Fix-a-Flat!! 😂🤣😂

Here's a little (if picturey) update on the aspirin-for-PM test.

I ground up an uncoated aspirin tablet and measured out 64mg per my post above on Saturday. Luckily I have a scale that measures to thousandths of a gram that I bought back when I started testing GA3 for plant reversal.

Anyway, I heated 500ml of distilled water to around 140ºF to make the powder dissolve easily:

I mixed in the aspirin powder and then added under 1/8th tsp of yucca powder as a surfactant:

After mixing that up I added 500ml of cool distilled water to get to 1L around room temp and put it in a regular spray bottle.

I'll skip the pics of the test branch on the Candida mother that I sprayed since the before and after and longer-after were all identical. :)

Then I took some pics of one of the drying Ruby Tuesday auto testers that I took last week to get an idea of the effect on trichomes.

BEFORE:

I dunked it in the solution, swished it around, and gently rinsed it under running water.

HERE ARE THE PICS TAKEN THE NEXT DAY AFTER AIR-DRYING:

Can anyone spot any obvious differences? I can't but I welcome other eyes. I did notice that there weren't any of the PM spots in the after-pics, but maybe I didn't get the same areas. I'll have another look (but not post any more I promise!).

I also didn't notice a reduction in the smell of fresh cut grass after dunking.

So I've sprayed a few leaves on the Queen G auto 2, and one small lower bud to check the effect on pistils. Here's the before:

We'll see!

Thanks for following. :ciao:

Found my meter, put in new batteries, nothing. I tossed it in the bin.

LOL just ask questions if you have them!
good luck then!
Plowing ahead and dragging y'all along. :slide:
Guru not chemist
Neither but I'll take it...thanks sb!

Why not? Also, I'd love to see more updates of how your autos are growing. They grow so quickly.

I think the trichomes look unchanged.

Okay. Finished making up my nutrients.

What was the question? :cheesygrinsmiley:

These old eyes don't see any significant differences, Shed.
