Outdoor Grow With Super Soil & Water Only Summer 2019

Hey Kanda - yer prolly busy as heck right now - but - here is a little hack for wood cutting that I made this spring... I'm having to gather up all sorts of dead limbs and small dry stuff to get back on track, but I hate getting my chain down in the dirt so much, so I made this little holder to get them up off the ground and near the tractor to save walking...

I know you tagged @Kanda but I’m very intrigued by your design!

How easy is it to get that into, said position?

Hey Back - I just looked around until I found somewhere on the tractor that I could get something about a foot apart and where the butt end of the stick would be about 4 inches above the fulcrum - I ground teeth into the bottom and side of the fulcrum to help stop the stick from turning while I'm cutting - so far it's been real handy. The weight of the log bears down on the fulcrum but is held in place by the lever action.

Hey Back - my first thought was just to use a hunk of 6" well casing or some sturdy tube that I could fasten somewhere but went with this. I will probably cut most of the top, above the teeth. off of that side arm.

They just don’t teach you these things!! That’s something you learn from great, great experience :adore:

That looks amazing!! And very helpful to say the least. Hubby is already working out the how and where for his.
Thanks for the great idea. I’ll share pics when it’s up and running.

How did your harvested arm turn out? Did you end up washing?
Weather here is looking promising for continued good growing. Hoping it’s the same for you.

Today’s photo update.
The wind barrier worked well and we only lost one arm off the bakerstreet. These girls are so big. I can’t believe it in a daily basis. Next step is a rain cover as California Orange seems to be slower than the others.

I was expecting the green crack to finish first of these two but now am not sure.
Weather is great and should remain the same for a few more weeks.

I haven’t made an update on the greenhouse in a little while. Lol. It’s still a jungle in there lol. These plants are a bit behind the outdoor plants, but hey, that will spread things out a little if I get them all to harvest.

Hoping that things continue well here. The three chocolope at the back of the greenhouse look great too...forgot to snap pics when I was back there and didn’t want to crawl back in. Tomorrow.
The smell in here is absolutely intoxicating. Can you see the difference I. The blue Dream bud here and the one outside or am I just imagining it?

I gave it a good wash and rinsed it with the garden hose and she is hanging up drying - I may not wait for a full cure to try some - it is hard to be patient at this point.
On my 9n I ran channels from a bar mounted on the front thru under the body and slung from the rear axle. That is what my carrying box is built on. Initially I thought of mounting something sideways to the draw bar, but instead just attached it to the channel. Good luck with it!!

Fantastic grow & stellar journal! :bravo:

You're in the homestretch now! Hope you don't mind trimming...you've got a boatload of it ahead of you!

Beautiful work. Nothing beats an outdoor grow!

Grow on!

Thanks!! It really means a lot. There are days I feel like it’s all going to work and other days where I feel like I’m never going to make it.

Bud pics make me smile!
First is Green Crack outdoors, second is Chocolope in the greenhouse and third is Blue Dream in the greenhouse.
Nice comparison shots I thought. They are starting with some nice crystals.

And then my weather forecast went straight down the crapper. I can’t believe how much these girls have kept me on my toes.....and such an emotional roller coaster ride. Love it!!
We had rain all morning, then wind so yay, but now torrential rains and severe thunderstorm watch. Rain over night. Colder tomorrow, only 16 with rain, then fog overnight!! So ya, straight down the crapper indeed.
Will get some pics of the biggest buds....Green Crack of course. I wasn’t prepared to do anything until at least October but might be considering changing my game plan a little.
I think the smaller buds on the Blue Dream and California orange will be easier to dry off between bouts of rain etc but the Green Crack I’m not so sure.
Not sure about a roof for them...waiting for hubby to get home to brain storm. Lol.

Well I took the green crack twins down and what a job it was. Totally blown away. I guess that’s the newbie coming out in me.
I had no idea just how much work that was going to be.
However it was a very satisfying job to say the least. I wet trimmed on the plant so snapped some pics in all their leafless glory.

They look and smell amazing.
Today I took down the big CBD plant from the greenhouse.
Will get pics of the girls hanging together in the morning when I check them.
Daily check in the others will be in order. Blue Dream in the bag outdoors will go next I think, then the two clone arms that share a bag......or so it looked today anyways. Tomorrow might be another story.
The girls in the greenhouse are ramping it up now and have really taken it over the top. So different from the outdoor plants in bags. I’m very excited to see how they finish.
