As our industry continues to evolve and expand, we are constantly working to relax some our stricter guidelines to make 420 Magazine more inviting and user-friendly. These changes will allow greater freedom for what our members can post, as well as reducing the workload of our moderation team.
Please read all of the many updates to our Forum Guidelines
1. Non-Cannabis Related Photos Now Permitted
To encourage more of a friendly community vibe, we are permitting tasteful off-topic photos in the general cannabis forums, as long as they are within our general posting guidelines and do not offend the journal owner. For example; violence, graphic and porn images, as well as hyper posting derailing the conversation are prohibited.
While we do now allow off topic photos in posts, all threads dedicated to off topic subject matter will be moved to the Off Topic forum.
All we ask is that you do not upload off-topic images to our Photo Gallery, instead just "attach" them to the post. If you need help, check out our Photo Gallery Guide: How to Resize, Upload & Post Photos
2. Non-Cannabis Related Videos Now Permitted
Non-cannabis related videos are now permitted in the general cannabis forums, just try your best to keep it tasteful and not take the conversation too far from the topic of cannabis. In the past we've had to move or delete off-topic videos from Grow Journals, disrupting a thread's flow and sometime annoying our members. That's all over now, you may post videos which are not directly cannabis related.
While we do now allow off topic videos in posts, all threads dedicated to off topic subject matter will be moved to the Off Topic forum.
All we ask is that you embed the videos in thread, instead of linking out to other websites. If you need help, check out our How To Post/Embed Videos Guide
3. Amazon Links Now Permitted
We realize it can be difficult to give someone help in their grow, when links to supplies are restricted. To create a smoother experience for those seeking and giving help, links to products on Amazon for reference are now permitted, as long as it isn't promotional or derailing a conversation. Please be mindful that the products you link to are not already available from one of our Sponsors. Last thing we want is to undermine those sponsors who pay for the privilege of advertising here.
4. Non Sponsored LED & Seedbank Photos Now Permitted
Photos of non sponsored LED lights and seeds are now permitted, provided it's done infrequently as reference and not frequently as promotion. Links to non sponsored LED lights and seeds are still are prohibited. Please use your best judgment and be respectful of our sponsors who support our mission by paying to advertise here.
All guidelines have been revised to embrace all of these wonderful new changes. If we missed anything, please bring it to the attention of a Moderator.
5. PDF Files Now Permitted
PDF files have been a big source of viruses and trojans for many years. Technology has now gotten to a point to where they are less likely to cause harm, so we are relaxing this guideline to give you all more freedom with the sharing of knowledge. You can now simply attach a PDF file to a thread or post the same way you'd upload a photo to a post (Attach Photo).
6. New Psychoactive Medicinal Fungi Forums Added
As pioneers of promoting Cannabis, we are now opening the door to psychoactive medicinal fungi discussions in a safe, legal environment.

We are delighted to share the news with you that our beloved @Ms. RedEye is returning to help us moderate our community. Lucky for us, she's retiring from her career as a social worker, which is what kept her so busy and away from us for the last fourteen years. She has the perfect energy and patience of a saint, complimented by her advanced experience working with challenged and aggressive people. We are confident now that we can handle our stressful workload, with her at the helm of the Mod Team.
