Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Plants looking great. Can't wait for the upcoming pics, and speaking of. Re: the A-P mode. that extra depth of field is awesome and now I can actually see it and remember it for my own use. Thanks!

On my camera to get the white balance right - gotta be in the mode you wanna be in - then go to menu - the area where you choose auto or flo or tung, etc.. One will be manual. It usually requires you to press a button to set it. Two tips for setting white balance: 1 - It must be done under the lights you are shooting in. 2 - Try to point the camera at something white in the room, but NOT superwhite, and not while its underexposed or out of phase from a hps. You might have to hit the white balance button a few times before you see the whites in your camera actually look white.

I can't wait for the expansion. You got all the ingredients to make one helluva room!

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Thanks Papa Green. Yeah. I need to make a cheat-sheet for doing all that until I just get it.

I do have some pics from earlier this week, and I'll take a lot more tomorrow night. Plus I have this right now, for your amusement. It's their runoff pH:

I'm just too bleary-eyed to edit photos.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Abb... I'm hammered, and I want to read about your grow!!! Update with some pictures and info ASAP damnit!!!! Appease my drunken ass that can't grow!!!

Patience. I'm working on it. :bong:

That chart in interesting. You run a higher pH than I do. Food for thought for me.

:nicethread:

6.2 is my target. All the rest are out of hand, pH-wise. Zoinks.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Next, if you remember, I did an experiment with air layering in a coco plug. That experiment ended April 2nd, when I trimmed up the plant (PS.1A). In any case, it never formed roots. I think my technique could be refined to work, but I have too much going on to try again right now. It did grow what I understand is termed callus:

20100402Aber-01.jpg

After concluding that the experiment was not going to be a success, I decided to trim her back. Here's before:

20100402Aber-02.jpg

Here's after:

20100402Aber-04.jpg

I'm such a jerk.

She had some good-sized leaves. Here's one with 1/4" graph paper behind it:

20100402Aber-03.jpg

Someone took a bunch of the chopped ones and made a chain:

20100402Aber-05.jpg

It wilted within hours of course.

Still more. One huge post, in fact.

:peace:

Edit: Whoops! Forgot the pictures! Doh!

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

First, some bookkeeping:

Code:
--> KK2.1TT, G13xGB.1KK, G13xGB.1DD, G13xGB.1EE, L4, L5:

1. Transplanted to 2 gal bags with myco.

2. Fed to saturation (3 gal)
   Per gal:
	 2 T Bioactive
	 1 t Big Foot
	 2 t PGE
         1 oz. Yucca
   Natural @ 510 ppm
   pH adjusted to 6.15 @ 19.5 C
	1/2 t Companion
	 1 t Bt-i

They needed to be transplanted bad. They couldn't hold enough moisture to last 2 days and would start wilting. This fixes that.

OK. These pictures are tonight.

I'll start with a quick run through veg. On the right are MT2 and PS.1A on the end of the table. These are for insurance only. The middle row are the three Lavenders that I plan to put into bloom on May 8th. The staggered double row on the right are the newly transplanted from above:

20100410Aber-01.jpg

Here's the 3.5" pots. They are all doing well. Especially the garlic chives:

20100410Aber-02.jpg

So I trimmed:

20100410Aber-03.jpg

20100410Aber-04.jpg

Here is the newest set of 50 clones I took on the evening of the 2nd:

20100410Aber-05.jpg

I don't see any roots yet. I expect some soon.

Here is CryLo.1A (Crystal Locomotive @ 6/? days, 25" tall):

20100410Aber-06.jpg

She is just showing signs of bloom:

20100410Aber-07.jpg

Here is KK2 (Kaia Kush @ 63/75, 60"). She looks terrible. She is consuming herself. Good thing she goes into flush in 3 days:

20100410Aber-08.jpg

Despite how she looks, she has produced some beautiful bud. These pics are also today, which goes to show the difference between fan leaves and the bud leaves:

20100410Aber-09.jpg

20100410Aber-10.jpg

20100410Aber-11.jpg

Here's PS.1E (Purple Sage @ 35/63, 48"). She looks grand:

20100410Aber-12.jpg

20100410Aber-13.jpg

20100410Aber-14.jpg

Here's BD.1J (Blue Dream @ 21/70, 56"):

20100410Aber-27a.jpg

Unfortunately, none of her bud shots came out. I did find a great big leaf though:

20100410Aber-15.jpg

So I measured the width at the widest point:

20100410Aber-16.jpg

20100410Aber-17.jpg

Wow!

Here's KK2.1B (Kaia Kush @ 35/75, 48"). She is in better shape than KK2 was at this stage:

20100410Aber-19.jpg

20100410Aber-20.jpg

20100410Aber-21.jpg

20100410Aber-22.jpg

Here's G13xGB.1A (G13 x Godbud @ 35/55, 46"):

20100410Aber-23.jpg

She's doing great too. Her pistils are all light green, It's not the light. That's pretty accurate:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Yeah. Seems like a fair haul to me. Quite a bit better than I expected. And although it needs a little cure, it is very stoney. Lot of time goes by with nothing being done. Like just now. Took me two hours to feed while smoking a J of it. I can see why my mentor likes growing it. Cloned fast, easy, at with high success, grows quickly. Finishes in 55 days and the stone is great.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I was looking at your PH chart and i was wondering would it be possible to see a chart showing nutrient/quantity and days. i thought it would be interesting to see the progression for your different nutrients and plant variety.

Thanks

Ooooo that crylo is gonna be fun to watch.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

  • I added TM-7 powder for micronutrients.
  • KK2 went into flush.
  • KK2.1B passed H(harvest)-31(days) so she gets ramped up for harvest in a month.
  • G13xGB.1A is supposed to hit H-17 tomorrow, so I gave it to her today. As the final nute recipe modification before flush, she gets a little less calcium syrup and no more feather tea.
  • The three Lavenders I'm bringing up in veg are doing great. They have about 3-1/2 weeks before they hit the center stage.
  • Everyone else is humming along. No bugs, no new problems.
