Aberration Goes Ker Bloom! - Perpetual

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

ME TOO !!!!!!!!!!
PICT000714.JPG

Wow. Nice doobie.

---

So I took 48 cuttings today:
  • 9 Big Bud x Blue Magoo (BBX)
  • 9 Blue Dream (BD)
  • 9 G13 x GodBud (G13xGB)
  • 9 Matanuskan Thunderf. (MT)
  • 12 Lavender (L)
They are all in Rapid Rooters under a dome now.

While I was at it, I trimmed up the veg plants, cleaning out the bottom and topping and/or leveling them.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I changed the format of the feed report some. It's more consistent and, I hope, intuitive. It is to me anyway. And I think this will better survive the de-tabbing that results from consolidating whitespace.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

AB,
those are some huge looking seeds at the top did u order those online ?
i keep telling myself one of these days im going too !!!!!!
i,ve never put them in a plastic baggy before, just used a moist paper towel and on top of the fridge check em daily keep em moist.
hey sorry bout the joint pic on ur page just got caught up in the moment !!!!!!
oh what kinds are they ?????

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Those three seeds were given to me recently. The big ones are "Elephant Bud" and the little one is "Maple Leaf Indica". As for what they really are, who knows. Since I'm about to order seeds, I thought it would be smart to practice germination etc on "no-name" seeds that didn't cost anything. This is the first seed I have ever germinated.

As for the ziplock bag, I read about that online and it seemed a good way to help keep the moisture in. I put the wet paper towel in the bag, inserted the seed, partially sealed the bag, and then blew a small amount of air in before closing it all the way. Hopefully this works.

Edit: I just took a peek and it is darker green now and one end has cracked open. Hopefully that's a good sign. :Rasta:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

It is promising. :cheesygrinsmiley:

So yesterday I donated a bunch of veg plants to a worthy cause (as I said I would). I didn't need most of them anyway, though it does cause a change-up in the rotation coming up. Specifically, I gave away these...

Large Veg:
  • BD.3C, BD.3D
  • MT.2A, MT.2B
  • G13xGB.3A, G13xGB.3B
Small veg:
  • G13xGB.3F, G13xGB.3G, G13xGB.3H
  • BD.4D, BD.4E, BD.4F
  • L.2G, L.2H

So now veg looks like this:

20101008Aber-011.jpg

I didn't know I caught this happening on the right until I was looking at the pic afterward:

20101008Aber-02.jpg

The ten left in small veg:

20101008Aber-03.jpg

The Lavenders (L) I kept:

20101008Aber-04.jpg

BigBud x Blue Magoo (BBX):

20101008Aber-05.jpg

The big G13 x Godbuds (G13xGB) that go in next:

20101008Aber-06.jpg

Here's a shot into bloom. The big Blue Dream (BD) kinda dominates the picture. She dominates the room:

20101008Aber-07.jpg

There are three plants, front to back, on the left in the picture above. The front two are both Matanuskan Th. (MT):

20101008Aber-08.jpg

20101008Aber-09.jpg

The third plant in the back is the G13xGB that's about to come out. Here's a closer look at the top:

20101008Aber-10.jpg

Here's that big BD. She's 51" tall. Add in the height of the dolly, bricks and soil and she's well over my head now, approaching 4 weeks (out of 10). She needs to slow her stretch:

20101008Aber-11.jpg

There's endless amounts of this:

20101008Aber-12.jpg

And this:

20101008Aber-13.jpg

And this:

20101008Aber-14.jpg

The other BD is almost as tall, but not quite as bushy. I couldn't get a decent shot of her. She's obscured by her sister in every one I took. I need that bigger room. I'll be swingin' a hammer tomorrow.

Here are a couple of shots of the older BD, who comes out next weekend. Mmmmmm:

20101008Aber-15.jpg

20101008Aber-16.jpg

The clones are floppy but alive:

20101008Aber-17.jpg

The seed is tucked into her germination bed:

20101008Aber-18.jpg

I need to feed these girls.

:peace:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Another amazing update brother, I love it around harvest time in here, you get to see large plants laden with copious amounts of delicious looking buds...your patients you grow for are amazingly happy people I bet! :yahoo:

Some of those plants are just plump with bud, those MT's are amazing looking and hear good things about that smoke...is it true?

Just dropping by for a quick hit on that doobie...:Rasta: Nice little fattie.

Close to the end for the two oldest. Everyone else in veg and bloom is good except L.2C (in small veg). She's not gonna make it. I'll let her try though. She's mostly dead brown except the inner 20% of a few leaf sets. I think her tips are all dead and she's just running down. Always sad.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I had this:

20101011Aber-01-seed.jpg

So I put her gently into a rapid rooter, root down. I wanted to put her 1 seed-width down, but she only got about 1/2 a seed width under the surface before I got paranoid I was going to damage the root tip. Good enough. I covered her with fine coco and wet it all lightly with distilled water. She is now in the warm humidity dome with cuttings:

20101011Aber-02-seed_bed.jpg

Did I do that right?

:peace:

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Sounds right to me, I usually poke a hole about 1/2'' deep and put the seed root down in it. i think you will very pleased within 48hrs or so.......

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

yeah normally with that little root showing it might take an extra day for it to break soil, but don't panic. I just have some Wonder Woman beans crack and show about 1/8" root when planted. It took them a week to come up, never seen seeds do that, but at least they're growing. I think the delayed time was due to there being very little taproot. When I plant them with a half inch or more root showing, they sprout within 24 hours. These guys are going on week 2 and have just opened their second set of real leaves. Very small, but I know it will be worth the wait.

Just keep em moist and you will see some babies in no time.
