Cigarette smoke near plants

Hey bombaguy, Im not 100% sure but id say any contamination of air is not desired. Id also say though that in small doses I couldn't see it being a big problem. Could be wrong, but I think a lot of growers have been guilty of the odd smoke whilst checking their babies.
Anytime we are growing indoors our goal as the gardener is to make conditions as optimal as we can. I would say cigarette smoke is not something that is optimal for an indoor grow atmosphere.
Keep in mind that the tobacco mosaic virus is transferable to cannabis. However it is not transferred from tobacco leaf to cannabis leaf, or you touching tobacco then touching your weed.
well. I gotta be honest. I smoke spliffs with tobacco in them from the moment I wake up till I go to sleep, I spend hours breathing on my babies to give them my co2 and I have never had any problems.

I'll smoke a cigarette while sitting with my plants and enjoying their beauty. Have never had any adverse effects from it, and my friends always comment on how well my smoke tastes and smells. I personally feel it is your own preference. I wouldn't suggest smoking a pack in a crowded closet with your girls, but one while your tending to them I have found doesn't hurt them IMHO. Course it doesn't hurt to mist them just before you leave to make sure any contaminants will wash off. Then again, I haven't smoked leaves in decades. Those I reserve for my butter.
