Hello to all, 1st time growing outside

I have no ideia of what I am doing and decided to join in here and hope you guys can help?!? It seems to me that the plant (pics attached) to be healthy although small buds by looking at some here, etc, I have given it food, water, picked carterpillars out, eggs, i have cut the parts they ate out from within and etc. Now she is inside a greenhouse so no more caterpillars alrhough I keep looking. This grew unexpectedly out of 1 seed (blue dream) I am in CA and the plant is about 5 months going to 6 it has been flowering for the past 6 weeks approx. and it has been consistently outside in my patio day and pitch black at night. The pistols are turning brown and on some areas drying kind of? How do I know when its ready and if this is even good? When should I cut it, where? Thank you

Welcome to 420 Magazine Pepper, it looks like it still has 2-3 weeks left. Don't be to quick to harvest, a lot of weight and density comes in the last 2 weeks or so. It's looking nice and healthy at this point.

Welcome.When the branches start bending due to weight gain , you in the ballpark. A loupe would be more accurate to look at the trichomes. agree with above also. regards

Hahaha, had to google trichomes, and yes they are starting to form everywhere and the plant is starting to smell really nice.

Welcome Pepper. Glad you found us here. I too have a blue dream nearing harvest. Almost all the pistols have turned with only a few still white. Through the jewelers loupe I see amber trichomes on the sugar leaves (the small leaves sticking out of the bud), but the trichomes in the bud itself are still clear or cloudy. I thought I was harvesting earlier this week but patience has its rewards. The buds are still thickening a bit. It has slowed for sure. Just keep them happy for a bit longer and they will return the favor.

Hello guys, this just sprouted was the only seed I found and now is here, since hrs daylight etc are changing any suggestions on what should I do from here, since I would like to grow it outdors/greenhouse?!?
