Focus Bud

All these are pictures of the same bud. Starts with the entirety of her, and ends with a display of her stem. When you follow it down to its base, you see that this huge beauty is nothing more than a forgotten offshoot from the main first node branch. Just wowee.

That’s just WOW! CL🍀

So I went on a hunt to find only those buds which end up formed fairly close to “normally.” Here’s what I found.

The last picture is from the mutant group - my favorite, Runaway Jim.

Yeah, still not "normal", but thanks for trying.

:laughtwo:
@Azimuth - it’s not even normal for me. I simply got lucky with an accident. They were still going to be large buds, but nothing like this. Lmao!

So my raving about the @ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro lights got to my drummer and fellow grower up north, and he bought two of them. He just got them a few days ago and today I asked him how he liked them so far. He said, “they’re WHITE!!” I’m like, yeah…..

I had to reach back in my grow history to the day I got my first full spectrum light after experiencing only blurples. My very first reaction back then was “wow, they’re WHITE light!” So it was cool that someone else gets to experience that.

It’s always a good thing when one graduates from blurples.

This is representative of the whole. I may take her tomorrow.

Since she’s so close, I have switched her as of this morning to no feed. Just clean water. Not flushing. Just want to see if I can get her to start taking nutes from the leaves a little and how long that might take. Never did this before.

Harvest Has Begun
Flower Day 86

Seems about half the lower ring is ready, so I have begun the harvest. Took 7 lower ring branches. Working on them now. But here’s a before and after of what is (gulp!) literally the smallest branch on the whole plant.

Heh.

This here is what you call one VERY productive branch!!!

Note the two stems that are cut at the bottom. Those were taken for testers. So add some more bud to it!

Ok, two things….

1. Trimming this foxtail-laden beauty SUCKS. Takes forever. Pretty much feel it’s gotta be 90% wet trimmed. Oy vey.

2. Here’s what I left for last. I may let these go another day or two. HEH.

Note in the first picture above - this is part of Sombrero Training. Part of the idea is that in this style, once you top the main stem above node four or five, you let the two shoots you get from that just go. You can see how long they are. But what’s relevant is the side branching. Look at all the side branches I cut off these two above the main stem cut. More stem = more buds. This illustrates that perfectly.

Thanks @CaptainLucky ! Are you a fan of wet trimming? I can’t stand it. The only advantage is you get a ton more scissor and finger hash. Check it out: this doesn’t look like much on a business card until you consider that this is finger/scissor hash from the trim of one plant minus a bunch I smoked yesterday.

IMG_7912.jpeg

Yeah, I know - it’s the dirtiest, ugliest, leafiest finger hash ever, lmao! But those leaves were stuck to my fingers so hard they are basically hash in the form of a leaf. The stuff gets you extremely high.
