Always stayed away from colored stains , heard they usealy yield less .... your thought ?

Harvest report northern lights
Did a scrog for this grow. The scrog was a lot easier training than the lst. Lesson 1 8" under the net is a good height for this auto, anything less makes watering hard. Had to switch her to 12/12 at day 65 because she was sharing the tent with a photo that was supposed to be an auto(candy cane) results were better but not sure if the extra 50 days was worth an extra 1 1/4. Final weight ended up being 3.8 oz dry trimmed and jarred + a solid 1/2 oz of shake
Her main cola missed the mark...I figured it would be an oz dry but ended up being 20g

3/16/17 day 65+80
Update on candy. She will be ready to feed again tonight. Going to take oldschool's advice and try giving nutes each watering. I have been feeding bsm, chaching, calmag every watering but will add 1/2 dose of tiger bloom and big bloom to off feedings. Checked her trics and they are 80% cloudy and the rest clear yet. Hoping for 4/20 harvest date. Still trying to catch up on the fan leaf trimming. Getting close to being caught up

Hey Lupey, when did you flip those non-AF Candy Canes? I flipped mine on Jan 20th and still thinking a month minimum.
Edit: See you flipped 12/12 right around the time I did. Really hoping no more than another month. What a long grow considering we wanted auto's!

Still cutting yellowing leaves. Gave her plain water last night still going dry every 2 days. Buds are solid as hell, very sticky and huge. Checked the trics tonight...Still a ways to go still shooting for 4/20 harvest. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice scrog setup. Really good looking plant. I have a photo cotton candy cane from Emerald Triangle Seeds I want to drop someday. It sounds like a really good strain.

Thanx this isn't actually a candy cane though it ended up being CKS sour Jack a new strain. I also have some candy cane autos that I haven't sprouted yet. My northern lights yielded just over 1/4lb and I'm guessing this one is gonna yield around 6oz dry. Will have alot of partying to do

Still moving right along but can't find any amber trics yet. Don't think she's gonna make 4/20 harvest but when she's done she's gonna be big. I am pretty confident 6-8oz dry
Is there anything I can do to help her finish. Main colas are huge and heavy and solid. I had to use sticks to help support the heavier ones that are leaning
Did some research on the forum and found if you start backing off the timer 1/2 hr per day per week it will force finish them. I'm still shooting for 4 20 harvest so the lights are on 11/13 this week and will switch them to 10/14 next week

those are some beautiful colas there lupey. on another note, thinking about using my wifes peony rings for the scrog, they are sixteen inches across but the squares are 3" instead of two like yours. use what you have is the name of the game. can't wait to see the end results! great job!

Yes they are but the ones we get from Lowes or home depot have a plastic coating on them that I believe would not harm the plants. Still waiting for DIY scrog net video.

Sorry didn't get it done yet. I found when training my plants sometimes I have to manipulate the cord to tuck branches

Started to amber last week...Very slow. Trying to force finish her...Been backing down the light timer she is at 9hrs lights on. Had to open the basement window to cool the tent and lower night time temps. Gave her a good flush last night and gonna continue with plain water until the end. Kind of bummed out I won't make the 4/20 harvest but oh well she is a beast. Good things come to those who wait

My god how I've enjoyed reading this journal over the past hour . Hats off to you my friend !!! You've made me want to give auto's a chance and maybe start with NL . I have my next strain picked and my current is cks green crack with 6 weeks left then it's on to atomic by atomic seeds .your SJ looks amazing . I look forward to sitting in on any future content you share with this amazing community. I'm so happy to have joined this forum it's my first and my go to from here on out . Thank you : )

Thanx bud I'm glad you enjoyed it. The 420 forum is completely awesome. I am a huge fan of the northern lights.
