My First Grow! Big Bud + 8 Ball Kush CFL's

Thanks everyone for your top opinions, much clearer to me now I think I will comprise all suggestions, trim anything that looks too Chlorophyll-y, and trim sugar leaves slightly back to bud. I cut a small light deprived bud last week, quick dried it and smoked it. Gave me a right head buzz and I was high! Was very cerebral, not a bodily stone, which shows the plants were not quite at amber trichome maturity.

Very potent though Can't wait to try the finished thing. My plans for drying/curing are this:

Hang upside down with ventilation and a dehumidifier (just a cheap one) for roughly 5-7 days
Cure for at LEAST 3 weeks in glass Kilner jars, but I'l try and hold out for the month....Does this sound a plan?

Hey everyone, the plants have just come out of their 36 hour period of darkness before harvest!! Here goes nothing....I'm about to give them the chop and trim. Will take photo's during and get a wet weight just outta curiosity....wish me luck!

Hello PerthPiper, my fellow CFL'er!
What can I say...the trim is going GREAT! I'm really enjoying it, halfway through the 8 Ball Kush at the moment, the BigBud is still in the soil. i also got my drying room set up.
I was kinda worried about the trimming, but when I came to do it it felt so natural! I'm also so very surprised at how much my 8 ball had on it! I'm only half way through and this is how much I got so far!!! More than exceeded my expectations, I know it's still wet....but still

Thanks KJC! I'm really pleased with how its turned out.
I didn't bother with an official wet weigh in, but at one point i had a stack on the scales from the BigBud and it was 95 grams so about 3.3 Oz. If i get an ounce off each plant dry, i will be very happy .

Been in the process of making simple Ice Water Hash this morning, using only household stuff. It is settling now in the fridge, hope it turns out ok!

Right, here is the final update of this grow!

What can I say, I've enjoyed ever minute of it, learned so much and have some serious buds to show for it!
FINAL DRY WEIGH IN:

8 BALL KUSH = 28.8 grams

BIGBUD = 31.4 grams

Really happy with that, I know it coulda been more had I not suffered them to the heat and ventilation issues I had halfway through, but oh well lesson learned for next time.

Some of the 8 Ball nugs are some of the nicest I've seen, real frosty dense buds, with a very unique smell. The BigBud has a more generic weedy smell to it but still real pleasant.
I had a good chong on some 8 Ball last night, really musky earthy piney smell and taste, with a citrus exhale. Got me pleasantly really stoned!! You don't need much of it. I am yet to try the bigbud.
Both plants are curing now in glass jars, with no signs of defects like mould, mildew or budrot, I've been real lucky!

Anyhoo, i'l let the pics do the talking...

Hash....real stinky and strong!!! crumbles into a nice texture without the use of a lighter.

Hello Everyone!
I just couldn't stay away, it felt like something was missing from my side when the grow was finished. It is such an excellent way to funnel my love for gardening and horticulture.
New grow just started, will be creating new thread shortly....It's gonna be a whole lot different.

1200x1200x2000 Budda Room grow tent

25 litre pots, will be mixing GP compost with perlite/vermiculite and worm castings and bat guano.

GH Super Lemon Haze
GH Trainwreck
Akorn AKA Snowbud
G13 Labs Purple Haze

2 x Lighthouse Hydro Blackstar V2 240w LED Panels

Popped the seeds in soil to germ last night, and LED's are in post from USA.
