I have two plants! I topped one and the other I did notMaybe you could avoid topping? It's your 1st grow, so why not see how she turns out without topping.

I'm using a 70/30 mix of FFOF & Coco. I use Mega Crop & pH is always 6.5. I have to feed everyday though or it dries out. You’ll have to find a “happy median” between the 2. It my understanding Coco is watered appropriately 3x per day, with nutes at a reduced amount from basically day one pH’d to around 5.8 keeping the coco “moist”, With soil you’d feed/water after the soil is dry (2-3 days) pH’d to around 6.3. I guess do whatever your buddy was doing if his crop turned out well, give updates along the way.
I dont know what quad lining is lolI'm using a 70/30 mix of FFOF & Coco. I use Mega Crop & pH is always 6.5. I have to feed everyday though or it dries out.
I feed about 36 oz. per plant at 4 weeks old. Started at 12 oz. then 24 oz. & now up to 36 oz.
Here's a couple pics.... I highly suggest doing some type of LST. You will get a bigger yield. Quadlining is an excellent way to LST. 3 plants GG, Gorilla Girl & Afghan Kush. This is what LST does for your plants. I didn't quadline. Just started bending branches over as far as possible & tied them down.
Okay I think I can do that lol. I clip[ the next set of nodes after I
This is the branch structure of the quadline I have on the go right now.

see how she does and begin this
My man!You absolutely can do it! Keep in mind you will have to adjust, adjust, and adjust some more to get the structure and canopy the way you want it.
My soil has a little bit of everything and I still in put at 6.3-6.5 without any issues. You see, that’s what confuses me about mixing coco with soil. It’s 100% do able, and is very beneficial, but at what properties are we following... the soil, or coco...
@Buds Buddy just had a really good comment.
Thanks Shed!I'm not much of a quadliner, but you know who is? @Dutchman1990! He has a great tutorial on it here.
