They are shockingly good Irie. On my barneys thread grow , i get rapid recovery times for major defol with them. I think results so far are great with them. I did another major defol and tie down last night but this girl wants to break out and is way past her original tied down placement. If the mother is anything to go by they get lanky tall from seed . Her limbs are kinda skinny but age has made them solid so should carry weight i hope. Here she is after the defol and breaking out again last night

Looking full of life those buddy :).
Thanks mate. after having 7 to start with , then losing a few to need of space ect. She is the last of her family now .lol. i half lost interest as her mum was a poor producer but had took clones. she is now getting my interest again. I had hopes for the strain but sadly lost faith but i am determined to have something decent from the initial investment. fingers crossed. Thanks for the comments.

Transition day 5: It is official , she is a woman now !!!. Of all of the plants growing , she has started putting her pistils out on day 4 of transition. I was surprised to see so many already and expected at least a week before anyrhing begins to really change. The stretch is on and she so want to go big i can feel it. She is turning into a little bit of a front runner by the look of her. I took the pics yesterday at day 5 so when i get into the tent at some point today , i expect that she will have a few more pistils and had a little more vertical growth. she is certainly filling out well and as an experiment and something i spoke about with Prof Flora a while back i think ? , i have now buried her quad. I noticed root nodes forming where her stem was exposed by watering and couldnt resist burying them to give her a chance to put them out properly. I figure with the stretch being a mega veg boost she may lay some lateral ones for stability of big fruits !. As her mother did , she is attempting the tall and proud sativa look .without ado , here she is in her glory and buried quad ( lets see what happens !)

They have shown really quick, can see these being like nuke heads!
Thats my worry Higher. lol. she may ruin my plans of an even canopy. Think she will need some more ties after stretch has slowed . I didnt expect her to go so quickly as she has behaved so well over the last few months. Hoping to tip spread her to keep her nodes closer than her mothers were.

Get some of those plant bends of you haven't already there great for putting 90's on stems without any worry they will make great plants :).
I used them on my last grow , they are great when the stems are narrow enough but soon as they thicken up , it is difficult to install/remove them. I do use stem rubbing to soften them to angle 90° and will use a pinch/crush if too hard to work with though. Have done it on the Gz and Hulkberry now. They have decided to try to create their own merristems and i wont have that. lol

Transition day 7: Yup she is definitely stretching !!!. This girl wont give up showing her ability to go tall. all of the tips look way better than their mothers did before i flipped her. I didnt train mum due to needing to flip 2 weeks after seedlings were able to grow in veg. ( last diary !) I now think this may be the reason she only gave a poor yield too. This daughter is looking like she wants to show momma whose best. She is well into her pistils now and has them everywhere she should do. Way earlier than expected but her real age as an alive branch is nearly 6 months old. She was taken at 4 weeks flowering and had to reveg , survived so many moves and stresses along the way too. I should be thankful she made it to here and i am. she will do her breed proud i hope now.

Welcome back brother. missed your positive demeanour. hope you had an amazing time and have come back reset ready for business now. ?. All going great guns here. been an exciting few days with the stretch and getting them ready to begin the best bit ( Friday hopefully) Whats you take on defol @irie lion ? .caught in two camps at the minute.

TRANSITION DAY 11 (9th July 19) . This girls is putting up an amazing fight to be recognised among such Royalty. her stretch is still going and she want to fly . she had shown pistil early and is flowering well for her flip age. I am sure she will yield better than her untrained mum now. I am now starti g to feed them the Shogun sumo boost at 1ml/L as her flowers are starting to build on her tips. I am starting to count down from Friday on her flowering to finish the transition week feed properly too. I don't want to halt the stretch she may need.

Thanks bro! It was a good rest and so it was tough getting back into the groove of things, but all back to normal now! :ganjamon:

They sure are stretching and damn they're in perfect health.
Regarding defol, i'm a strong believer in defoliation but it does seem different strains react differently to it - i also feel it needs to be done at the right time.
Sooo what i usually do - is a nice defol 2 weeks before flip to 12/12 to give it time to recover before bloom and that allows them to head into bloom with no tops being covered. Then i wait for stretch to end and usually do my next defol around day 21. I find if i defol any time during stretch it actually slows the stretch down so i avoid removing anything during the first 3 weeks of 12/12. After the day 21 defol, i do another one 3 weeks later probably around day 42. After that they are usually well opened up for the rest of bloom, and i then let them do their thing besides removing a leaf here and there that drifts over some buds :yummy:

Cheers mate. it seems a standard to defol at certain times and have usually just plucked and defoliated as i went. Never did it to a schedule , just rough arsed stripping and beating. lol. Will wait till the stretch had ended as was planned but will give the 21 days a whirl but is that counting from the flip or from actual flowering mate ?.

Flowering Day 2: Hulkberry is bustling now. Her buds are forming nicely and she is looking taller than all the others as expected of her strain. She should hopefully not have too wide a distance between nodes with the quadlining hopefully. She is impressing me still . have ow started full flowering feeds and added the shogun ,sumo active boost. Gloopy pink and looks like milkshake but also looks very moreish.lol Lets build some baseball bats.

Update :flowering Day 7. The Hulkberry is a beautiful improvement on her mum without a doubt. Her budlets are forning very quickly and look as though they will stack far better than her mother too.
It is defol.and strip day tomorrow so we should see how well she stacks up then.
Shebis nit showing any signs of overfeeding or too much of anything either. She is loving the new sumo boost too by the look of her spikey buds. Her leaf colour is spot on and i found a very welcome guest in the form of a Zebra spider again. i thought it had gone with the earlier clearing of the room to put the new lights up. Flies wont mess with this bad boy.
Heres a few pics
