Stinky Snid's Crop King Journal Contest - Northern Lights & White Widow

Shit dude sorry about the shit luck with food poisoning. I had it real bad off some chicken wings once... puked 36 hrs straight and started to come up blood. Don't usually go to hospital but that was fucked hehe. Hope it all works out for ya.
If you haven't found something for your root aphids. Check out SM-90. Stuff worked a treat. I had a couple bugs showing up and blam one watering with that stuff and done with.
Bugs have been eradicated, most plants have been harvested so that helps alot. Gut problems lead to many possible dehabilatating conditions. Fingers crossed for nothing major. Appreciate your thoughts... :thanks:

Looks good Snid! Glad ya are feelin a lil better buddy! :high-five: Garden looks spectacular as usual my friend. :)
Wrapping things up for the spring grow season, I'm going to let everything die down some and restart with a new vision.

I'm so sorry to hear that Snid!

Wow, that is a sh*tty buzz from the continuing stomach issues. That reminds me a little story about one time I went to the hospital for my brain injury. Because I'm in my 40's they didn't believe me that I had a brain injury, refused to take blood, CT scan, or anything. So the doctor comes in and said that I need a breast reduction and that's causing the debilitating headaches. No lie, that was the truth and that was just in April. They wouldn't even call my family dr, or neurologist to confirm my condition. I mean COME ON, hahaha. Anyways, your plants are fabulous and so is your friendship! Blessings to you and yours...:Namaste:
Yep,that sounds like a diagnosis I would expect from these doctors. So sad....

Sorry you're feeling bad, snid. Hope you feel better soon. The widows, on the other hand, look especially merry!
It's down to the wire for them, got to chop within two weeks. I just flushed em both. Stay tuned for the update...

KiG :green_heart:cheers

June 13th, a very normal day for the Stinky one all around. Just a routine no idiots type of day. Wonderful! The white flag is out and the the twins are rounding turn one side by side. Winnie has quite a bit more amber up top but her lowers are consistent with Ellabella's top buds. Crispy Winnie will be first up for harvest, both will be chopped once pots are dry. Average dry time for Winnie is 7 days and Ellabella is 9 days. Those are tentative harvest dates of Monday and Wednesday next week. :yahoo:

Ellabella Day 70 +70 : 13.0 lbs @ Ph 6.0 - 73°f

Ellabella is the healthy of the twins, she was able to hold strong while I was not able to take care of them. She got a good 12 litres of water and occasional mix of florakleen, with at least 8 litres of runoff.

Winnie Day 70 +70 : 7.2 lbs @ Ph 6.0 - 74°f

Winnie is going to get to harvest pre-trimmed, I'm actually considering this as a strategy for future harvests. It's so easy to pick these off when they die instead of spending hours trimming buds. These two ladies should both produce a decent crop.

Clones are not really cooperating with my training, the limbs are coming from everywhere. I've taken a few leaves and odd growth tips out. The new leaf sets are now looking like official mj. Instead of the weird single finger spinach leaves.

Thanks for all your support throughout this journal, you'll be in my regard for a long time to come. See y'all next time
:ciao:

June 16th, getting down to it here. Just waiting on the soiless mix to dry. Winnie is around 25%amber. Ellabella is still like the 10% on mid buds. Pretty basic update today...lets take a look.

Ellabella Day 70 +73 : 18.4 lbs

Ellabella is my prize girl in the end as she was in the beginning. Her buds are hard and have a sweet citrus aroma. Can't wait to clip this beauty.

Winnie Day 70 +73 : 10.6 lbs

While Winnie looks a little crisp, she is as solid in bud density as Ellabella. I've been trying to pick away some of the dry dead leaves.

The clones are now showing normal growth tips, it's actually looking like weed again. Training is underway for both of them, I'm doing whatever I can to have them grow horizontally.

That's it's for this update, almost at the due date. I'm so excited about this harvest. Very soon my friend's, see you next time...

Love the plants sir, really looking fine. I do apologize for asking on here but I saw you feed your plants with calmag or Epson salt, is that on every feeding or do you skip one or two before adding? White Widow is still one of my strains that I really want to grow in the future, it really got my attention a few years back and I've been fascinated by it ever since. Hope you had a great day! :passitleft:

I am interested to see the harvest on these girls! I always go for fewer nodes versus more, but I think you have spark an interest in experimentation.

June 18th, I've had such a good time doing this contest entry. This is my first attempt at making an a in depth journal, I think it's been very successful to date. It's been able to help newer growers aswell as keep the bud picture fiends happy with fresh copious amounts of budporn. They're environment has only improved over the past 140 days, from sprout to smoke. It's been a pleasure to share with you great members and lurkers. And with that little bit of gushing let's get to today's update.

Ellabella Day 70 +74 : 16.0 lbs - 74°f

Ellabella is starting to become drier and the foliage is commencing to develop deficiency. Trichome check puts her at 10%. Tentative day for 48 hours of darkness, is Tuesday for a Thursday harvest

Winnie Day 70 +74 : 9.4 lbs - 74°f

Winnie is at 25% amber now, she's about halfway dry. Her lemony aroma is overpower the stale dead leaf smell. These buds are going to be harvested on Tuesday, she be going dark tomorrow. This is her final pic before harvest.

The Clones are slowly reaching for the exits. I've clipped several more growth tips from within her mass of foliage. They're so many little unless shoots that are getting jammed up due to the shear amount of them emitting from the main stem.

Thank you everyone for making this the experience of a lifetime. Thanks to crop king for their promotional contest, I'm sure it was a success. I've seen so many great journals for this contest and I hope it's a hard decision for the judges to judge. Good job to all the entries, I've thoroughly enjoyed reading your updates. :thumb:

See you all next time for the last few updates for these white Widow twins. :Namaste:

I feed my plants every watering. I wait for them to be completely dry and feed 1/2 - 3/4 strength advanced nutrients. I add cal mag at the low dose recommendation, I only add epsoma salts to the soiless mix as an amendment. The widows are easy to grow and are a strong smoke. Perfect for indoor growers with a relatively low Odor.

I am interested to see the harvest on these girls! I always go for fewer nodes versus more, but I think you have spark an interest in experimentation.
It's alot about trying new things. Anyone can put a seed in a pot and grow it. It takes a dedicated grower to create works of art like these. Each one slightly different then the next, but more or less the same concept. And that goes for everyone else's plants, all different than mine but producing similar products. It's amazing and interesting indeed. :thumb:

Always a pleasure to stop. Looking great Snid:thumb:
You bet Dirt, you're a solid presence around the community. I really enjoy your posts and comments...they make a difference brother, thank you. :thanks:

Sorry I've been absent for quite some time, Snid. I just never know what to say except, awesome looking garden. Seems lame after 20 times. Maybe I should come up with some better adjectives to describe your exceptional garden. ;) How is the cloning coming along??? Have you tried using rapid rooters yet with some clonex?

Cheers Snid

Hey 4x4grow, I'm sure it's busy over at your end... I'm always busy myself with all these great journals to read. Any visit from you and your repetitive kind words... Lol is so very welcomed. The clones are taking to their training regiment well, I've not attempted any further clones. I'm going to stay away from clones, unless I really want to save a strain. I'm definitely a seed guy, it's so much more predictable.

Thanks brother, keep up the positive posts, they certainly make a difference. :thanks:

:adore::adore::adore:Nice job sensei nothing but the best from you.
Thank you Shruum, I only try to do my best. Results are a testament to this sites power of sharing. :Namaste:

Go Chanel! I was actually cheering out loud for her!
I love her sass for sure!
:cheer:
I'm like.... Who's Chanel? Lol. My dear I think you have the wrong journal. But thank you G2heal I'll relay the message. Talk to you soon my dear:cheer:

June 19th, I'm not sure if I'm going to make the harvest deadline. I gave myself 11 weeks from flip to finish, I was sure that would be enough. I'm hoping to get them at least chopped before the end of the month. Let's check Winnie out for the last time before she's chopped.

Ellabella is now 4 or 5 days out from going dark. She'll be harvested by next weekend for sure. Got to make this deadline. I came wait to know what kind of numbers in looking at for these two twins.

Winnie has seen the light for the last time. She's going into a dark closet at lights out tonight. Looking like a Tuesday afternoon harvest. We're well past 25%amber now.

Clones are keeping me busy, so much foliage emits from the main stalk. I've removed and tied down so many of them.
