I said you should write a book... Maybe self help.. how to get a better perspective on life; Get some wild animals to tear your house up and a friend to poke you in the eye...
What doesn't kill you.... :passitleft:

Congratulations.... Recreational legal pot in September... So is it still illegal right now  know how many plants you can grow?

Hmmmm. Yeah. I wonder why I’m so underwhelmed with this ‘legalization’. I must be pretty moralistic I guess. I suppose I must have a misunderstanding of the word legal. I thought it meant open and free. When you look at that word though... it probably relates more to lawyers and regulations than it does to any sort of freedom. When I hear people spouting off about all the rules of what we are and aren’t ‘allowed’ to do, and how great it is... ugh.

Four plants? Now we aren’t ‘allowed’ to even buy seeds except from government approved sources. Who is that- Crap King and such? Who are these people to tell me what plants I can grow in my garden? What am I -two years old?
I just don’t give a fuck about their rules and never did and never will. I suppose it’s a step in the right direction/better than nothing? Or a step sideways. I don’t know. Good for the corporations who profit from this shit. Good for people who care about rules. That sure ain’t me though.

Yeah Grizz maybe someday I will write a book. At one point I thought about writing down a collection of random thoughts for my kid- explaining some of the shit I went through in my younger days- musings on life, depression and struggles, happiness, philosophy, sex, drugs, rock and roll. Now he’s 14 and doesn’t even talk to me anyway. Normal- or so I’m told.

rebels without a cause  after September  thing that I don't like or concerned about legality, is plant numbers... Whats the punishment for exceeding plant numbers, compared to the law today... I can see it being worse, as the proceeds can now be a federal income...

You should do it...your got a way with words, a talent if you will... Im trying but don't got it :rofl: wack the kid over the back of the head and tell him to snap out of it..

I think penalties are quite severe yeah. Whenever possible they’ll always use public safety as an excuse for greed and control measures. Not sure how they can try to justify and sugar coat the attempt to control seed sources. In that case maybe they just mumble something unintelligible and show you the door.

No Grizz that won’t work. At least it didn’t work on me. :)

I dont know about you or what it's like over there.. we soft here now.. peoples feeling and considerations etc.. and I know how that sounds but..... We on a self centered, socialistic selfishness, me me me.. dad would give me a shellacken if I was a cu, hang on you guys don't like that word, ok, if I was a smartass.. I dont know.. we couldn't get away with everything being about me... Now we can't get away from being walked over... "The kids the kids"... I dont know.. I think some of the old ways did make a better society.. not talking hitting kids with the electrical cord or into submission but little eggshell fear is what kids need today

Maybe it’s about intent. If rules are fair and justice is just- that’s a different thing than punishment on behalf of a government sanctioned cannabis corporation because you’re threatening their profits- or your old man beating you in anger just because he’s stressed out and pissed off and hasn’t learned a better way of coping.
But yes- humans are a self obsessed bunch to say the least, and I wish more had their heads on straight. Most care more about their possessions and how many likes they got on Facebook and what he said/she said than about any bigger issues. Probably that’s the way it’s always been. Living out here I have a good view of the world burning. Poisoned and starved whales washing up on our beaches, the very last of our forests being mowed down for the most profitable 10% of the wood while the rest is burned, declining fish stocks, weird plagues killing off our ocean life, etc etc etc. People just don’t seem to care all that much- not as much as they care about Facebook. I think it’s just human nature.
Whoops getting a little dark here...

 agree to agree... And in saying that, im not saying we turned out as better people than our kids  well, I hope not

...I survived the "wooden spoon"......and prolly a better man for it...I spanked my kids a few times when they were young(not ashamed to say that)...you can try to instill values, respect and work ethic, but sometimes peer pressure over rules, and then it begins...the millennial train of thought ......cheerz...h00k...:rollit:

My experience fell more in the category of emotional abuse. Physical abuse- meh, whatever. It’s all mental/emotional that matters when it comes down to it. That sticks and stones saying has it completely backwards.
Could I have done better as a parent in my dad’s circumstances? Not a chance in hell. Three kids by the time he was 21 on top of everything else in life. And that was normal at that time. I just can’t imagine.
No complaints about my upbringing and I’m very lucky to have been raised how I was. But there’s a big difference between instilling respect and just venting your shit.
Personally I’d take the beating anytime though, over the way I see some parents nag and berate their kids all day every day. Treat your kid like a person and they’ll act like one.
Teenagers not included. They’re not persons they’re an alien species. An embryonic mess.

it probably relates more to lawyers and regulations than it does to any sort of freedom.

Ugh... ever notice how things just get more convoluted and crazy when a lawyer dips his toes in the water?

I just don’t give a fuck about their rules and never did and never will.

In our state, they've implemented med mj. Pills only, made from product produced by the public universities.

Teenagers not included. They’re not persons they’re an alien species. An embryonic mess.

Indeed. Use a stick and keep them as far away as possible.

These young people nowdays get butt hurt over everything and anything. They cry about politics ( but don't vote ) they are unhappy with their jobs ( but won't do anything that requires manual labor ) they have no clue how to cook ( don't know where their food actually comes from ). I was born and raised in the inner city and couldn't wait to get out of there. But my dad worked in the GM plant next to my neighborhood. By the time I was in my early 20's I moved to the country and never looked back. In my area there's lots of skilled trades jobs vacant because the young people all want to work in a air conditioned office. Most live in their parents house as long as possible. I can't figure out who's going to run society with these slackers in charge

I think as parents the best you can do is try to keep them alive and hope they make it through to the other side. I think things start to turn around when/if they finally have to face having actual responsibility in life. Till then just tend to your own life, keep your distance and use tongs and gloves when handling them I guess.
