Found this green house out here in the boonies, there growing lettuce. Said every two weeks produces 52,000 head and it hydroponics . When I asked if he’s ready for legalization and both came up with shit eating grins.

Maybe this will help the Kind is 63k Lux at 30” and the Viparspectra at 15” is 83k lux you say huh I did to ! 83k on the the hps canoed the leaves ! They are loving the Viparspectra 600.

I can only push these Veros to about 25-30k lux at the tops before the heat sinks get really hot. I need better cooling so I can drive them harder.

That’s what gets me , the Kind led has a lot of heat the Viparspectra has very little heat ! I’m blowing air over the canopy under the Kind led to keep the heat off . I want to drop the Kind to 24” but it looks like they’ll be there soon enough.

My driver and COBs can go much further, but the heat sinks are only rated to 75 watts each, and at about 80 watts the temps get up there, and without some active cooling and stronger extraction, that heat builds up quick in my little 4x4 rooms.

Does your Vipar have a builtin driver, or just really good heat removal? Or perhaps they use more efficient diodes than the Kind?

My neighbor was throwing all four out to the goodwill box . He bought 4 Kind 1000 leds . I just used them for veg they love that blue light ! I have two sitting in the shed 1/4 mile away. That would be another 4 amps in the tent ! Another 480 watts .
On the vipar spectra , very little heat below the light compared to the Kind 750 .

I wonder why that is? I feel radiant heat under my COBs, but then again maybe the QBs being more spread out radiate less heat. It's a mystery to me.

I raised the vipar spectra back to 15” saw a couple canoes in the pic . I put a temp/ humidity sensor at canopy height . On the border of vpd at 78 degrees and 43% humidity puts me in the yellow says good for mid to late flower ! Now I can keep up with it in the dark hours !
