Mr Teddy's Greek Indoor Grow - Indicas - Soil - LEDs

:thanks: everybody.
:circle-of-love:
I shall start a new journal for the next round which will be both indoors and, as soon as this filthy, wet spring weather turns round and my seed order arrives, outdoors. :yahoo: I'll let you know of course in case you'd like to see some fun in the sun. Meanwhile, I'll be posting some concluding thoughts here later.

Oh, I really do love that one MrT! :circle-of-love:

Lovely lovely structure, elegant throughout her lifetime - what a beauty. I had a SLH that grew that way, with tight self-contained buds at the nodes. Mph, yummy.

+reps! :thumb:

I have a new journal up and running ...

I posted some bud porn ... :;):

Way to go Mr.T, grats on your moderator status :thumb:

you deserve it buddy :circle-of-love:

looking forward to your new journal :high-five:

:thanks: Gentlemen. Your words are truly appreciated.

Closing Remarks
That's the end of my second grow and my first indoors. Generally speaking, I loved growing indoors so as a necessary winter pastime I embrace it. I've learnt a lot more about the cannabis plant and even more about controlling an environment. My outdoor grow last year was special of course - it was my first and it was in the sunshine. This year I'll have both going and we'll see how confused I get.

What I've learned about Cannabis
How indicas grow when trained. How you can really see that stretch happen after the switch. Why it's good to have nodes close together. How every plant is an individual, and whatever may be written about a strain, the individual plant will try and do its own thing. Why I should train harder and defoliate more. That watering airpots can be a pain until a kitten turns up.. And that cannabis plants love airpots. As do I.

I've learned that we love Blueberry - both the bold, healthy plant and the smoke. However a plant can't be judged only by looks and although Mazar grew scraggely and all over the shop, early samples are most encouraging.

Soil. The big one. Partly through experience, mostly through reading PJ then SoilGirl then COorganics then Sweetsue now Conradino - you know, the LOS Cosa Nostra - I wonder if there's one big Budfather figure running the whole thing? - I think it's the right way for me - I'm halfway there already. I've learnt that the commercial, allegedly low fert soil I've used for seedlings and mixed into the final pots, which has been the common ingredient across the two grows, is probably too hot for them. So I'm going to change my soil mix completely for both seedling and bloom/flower phases for the next run out of what I've assembled from here, keeping to the spirit of LOS. Details in the next journal. (That's guaranteed to put off an audience).

What I've learned about growing indoors
That the German extractor fan is reliable, consistent and relentless. Everything we English dislike about German football. That Greek heaters are rubbish. I've just returned the second one. That the Secret Jardin tent is OK - but it's not a value product and I would have expected greater sturdiness and a bit better light proofing. That I don't like not being able to see how the girls are without taking them out of the tent. That the Platinum P450 LED seems very good, although I have nothing to compare it to. There was a fair bit of low popcorn (better training next time, Teddy) but most of it was well-frosted.

Finally, I knew already that this was a great and good community. You've all confirmed that for me. Thank you for the laughing and helping and liking. *wipes a slow tear away* I've got responsibilities now. :cheesygrinsmiley: I don't know if I'll be able to post so much. But I know I'll be around more. :circle-of-love: See you at my next journal I hope.

Pip Pip! Mr Teddy x
