420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By Slammy Pajama

Today's update:
Day 14
Temp: 13-27 degrees
RH: 41-74%

These beautiful little babies are looking fantastic!! They got a little bit of water today to make sure the soil around them is nice and wetted down, and they seem pretty happy with the light height/intensity right now! There was a slight mishap while moving things around that bent the two stalks in the smaller pots a little bit, but I don't think they'll even notice one bit!

Good morning, Slammy.

Did you plant your GSCs directly into their final pots? They don't look like they're in Solo cups, for example.

2 of these beauties are in small starter containers, and 2 are directly into 10-Gallon GeoPots. Not a direct comparison since they're seeds (instead of clones) but I'm curious to see if there is any marked difference between them! I typically do a series of up-potting, which I plan to do with the two currently missing mulch

You sound like me. Haaa haaa. I like doing comparisons on various things too.

I tried planting some seeds directly outdoors in my garden beds. Unfortunately, that was a fail. The rest of the plants I have going right now, started in small containers and I'm moving them up slowly to their final containers. It is easier to manage the water intake in smaller pots when they are young though.

Yesterday's update:
Day 16
Temp: 13-28 degrees
RH: 37-74%

Look at these beautiful vigorous little babies from @Weed Seeds Express! They are taking off like crazy! Not much difference between the large and small containers yet, but getting some nicely established leaves now!

Yea I had my first go at an outdoor season last summer and ran into so many new obstacles all at once, it's a wonder we made it through the season at all! So much transitioning back and forth between in and outside! It feels like a relaxing sigh of relief coming back to the slightly more controlled indoor environment with these ladies :laughtwo:

Today's update:
Day 18
Temp: 13-28 degrees

I honestly don't know why people like growing outside. There's so much that's uncontrolled outside like the weather and bugs. I'd much rather have more control.

I guess if you don't understand why...it would be difficult to explain. Gardening outdoors is simply glorious for my soul. I will leave it at that for now. I'm determined to grow an incredible plant this year. It will take everything in me to prevent bad things to happen but it will be worth it. It will be interesting to see the difference in quality of the finished buds too.

Haha it certainly was a learning experience! I'd like to see a proper comparison between some happy indoor and outdoor plants, but it feels like it takes so much more work to maintain an outdoor grow space.

That's also partly why I went the supersoil route too. I am super loving the autonomy of my tents at the moment, they pretty much keep right on along during the instances when work gets hectic!

Today's update:
Day 19
Temp: 16-25 degrees
RH: 45-51%

Wow, really starting to look like established plants now! And what a beautiful colour! I might even think of popping the little ones up soon and checking on the roots to see how ready they are for an up-pot!

Other than that, still just watching and waiting! These plants sure do teach me patience. Or at least... They try to :laughtwo:

Looks like we've got some strong healthy babies here!! Happily growing away, we'll check in on their water needs probably tomorrow and see where we are at! :thumb:

Off and growing.... they be trees inna few. Good job. Love your top dress mulch. You gonna scratch in some GeoFlora?

Thanks mate! Yea the mulch has done wonders for keeping my soil moist while running my oscillating fans in the tents, plus I had a bit of an issue with fungus gnats in earlier runs. However, since adding the mulch, they've been completely eradicated!

They aren't looking hungry at the moment, but I probably will give them a little top dress anyway, just to be sure they don't get hungry or anything! We've got some amazing growth so far with some of the Geoflora premixed into the soil mix that these ladies are in!

Today's update:
Day 30
Temp: 18-28 degrees
RH: 25-59%

These babies are looking SO good!! Beautiful green colours in the veg tent, lights are still only at about 50% and probably around 24" above canopy, but they are loving it!

These ladies should be able to handle some pretty serious training here soon enough! I'm thinking of quadlining at least one of them... We'll see!
