Day 29 of Flower, 1500 PPM feedings 3 times per day now. Probably going to let them grow another week and then defoliate again.

Also thinking of buying another 600w LED light, might add it in there for the last month of bloom.

I am also going to try "back building" my buds in week 6-7 and see how that works out, I've seen tons of great results in other journals so I'm curious to try it out.

This is a 10-11 week strain so still got lots of time left to go!

Looks great glad to hear from ya? Whats ur estimate on yield or goal should I say??

well my goal has always been to reach 1 lb dry weight in my 2x4 setup, I have gotten to 12 ounces with a different plant configuration (8 plants in 5 gal geopots/coco).

This time I wanted to do sea of green with 20 plants and flip to 12/12 right away, but I got greedy and ended up topping them twice and vegging for 30 days haha.

It's a 10-11 week strain I have been told so still too early for me to tell, I'm hoping to see a lot of bud production in the last 3 weeks so I should know better by then if I will reach my target.

I think next time I will definitely flip to 12/12 right away and not top to just have 1 large cola per plant. It's all trial and error for me, but I'm consistently yielding 10-12 ounces each harvest

Really liking this. Think I will try sea of green next time after seeing this. What's back building do? I met you on the LED brand thread :) I'm doing my first lst and i think its going really well. It's defrost very fun and strategic :D love

Try different methods each time you start a new crop and find whatever works best for you. I'm still trying to figure that out. I'm definitely loving the sea of green, but will also like to tweak a few things for next time. Back building is something I just actually learned about but has been around for a long time. It's when you clip off the top (just the tip .) of flowering buds, which causes them to "backbuild" meaning they will swell up and form more evenly and full. It causes more uniform nugs and potentially bigger yields as well. I figured I'd give it a go! always willing to try something once if I see it backed up by others

keep a journal and update ! I'll sub along and help ya along the way if you need some advice

Gave the ladies a much needed trim tonight, got a ton more light reaching down through the canopy again.

I've noticed that no matter how many leaves I take, they just stay perked up.

The amount of THC on my fingers was incredible, and the smell coming from these girls is very fruity.

Day 37 of flower.

The ladies are really starting to put on some weight and getting super frosty. I have been lazy the last week and didn't keep track off PPM in my reservoir and got a bit of nute burn on some leaves, but got it all dialed back in so should be good from here.

i think I will try backbuilding this weekend and cut off the tops to get an even more uniform shape on the buds, I want those nice colas!

They've still got about 4 weeks to go, so far I'm happy with the progress!

At this point I'm using the following nutes:

Green Planet Dual Fuel 1 & 2
AN Big Bud
AN Bud Candy

In a week I will also be adding AN Overdrive and Green Planet Finisher.

Good stuffHow come you use so many additives ? For instance in using plant magic soil and have plant magic grow and plant magic bloom and that's it. Would you recommend anything? I also have calmag which I may be needing as the plants apparently demand more calcium + magnesium under LEDS.

+Lochness I agree with him if you carry on like thisbthey defrost will. What are your plans for flush?

If you don't mind sharing more of your expertise can you advise me how to swap nudes from grow to bloom? I have a feed due soon and I flipped to flower two nights ago. Would I use both bloom and grow to help with stretch or just continue using grow for another feed and then switch to the bloom or should I offer them a 50:50 feed and then stop using grow? decisions decisions..

:thanks:

Hey jarimuana,

I decided for this grow to use the advanced nutrients line of bloom boosters and finishing products. they are expensive but rated very well by growers. They do what they claim, produce bigger, frostier, stinkier buds! I had some left of green planet Finisher product which I've added for fun since you can use it for last 4 weeks of flowering. The overdrive product I don't use until last 2 weeks so I'm using Finisher until then along with my big bud and bud candy.

It all depends on what your growing medium is and which kind of nutes you are using. I use an "A & B" style base nutrient formula which actually calls for using both A and B in the same quantities during veg and flower. The ratio does not change as it was specifically designed for that reason. Other nute lines will say to reduce the grow nutes when flipping to 12/12 though. I would just follow the directions for the brand of nutes you are using.

I'm growing in pure coco so I need to supplement cal/mag everytime I feed. If using RO water you will need to add calmag, tap water has trace elements of calmag so less would be needed in that case. calmag deficiencies are easy to spot so if you see it just start adding more.

Well I hope this backbuilding technique works. I chopped the tips off the most of my tops in the garden. The buds are already so tight and compact, not much of a "tip" to cut off, so hopefully I did it right. Curious to see how it works out.
