Quick no-pic update today. Clock is ticking on Blueberry 1. Most of the fans in the top cola went yellow overnight, seeing more amber, and I completely flushed it again this morning (yeah yeah I know I fed it yesterday...still learning and winging it here). Output was about 320 first run and 120 final. Probably 6 gallons at 105PPM out of the hose.

Whether I cut the top off tomorrow (probably going to let the branches go until I get back Friday) or Tuesday will depend on whether I want to start drying in the shed and then take the box on the road or go straight to the box. And knowing me and how indecisive I am, I may take down the whole thing at once and then compare the effects of the more mature top vs the less amber bottom. I still have another BB growing and 3 more seeds as well so I can put the experience into the next plants.

Just a big experimental first grow. Learn by doing!

Great idea either way. It's nice having other plants to focus on when you take one down...

I am in the same place with the HK, although my wife will not let me cut before wed morning because my daughter has a tutor coming over...ha.

Monday update, final day before Blueberry 1 gets the ax.

The sugar leaves have the most amber, which makes sense if it's true that amber is created from exposure to UV rays, which would be stronger on the outer parts of the bud.

I think I'm going to take the whole thing down at once and make sure to keep the lower buds in separate jars from the main stem. That way I'll know when to take down Blue 2 based on how the wife likes it.

And here is Blueberry 2 on day 73. I had to add a few more pipe cleaners to separate some branches. With the buds growing they were getting too close to have any air circulation. Also, took off a couple of tiny buds that sprung up near the bottom. It keeps trying to do that and I keep shutting it down!

I just looked back at the photos I posted this morning and noticed a caterpillar in the Blueberry 2 tallest bud at the bottom right of the pic. Looks like it's gonna be a BT spray before bed tonight!

I second it's ready, and looks great. Think your going to outweigh mine. I tried some of mine tonight, the buzz is very good, still smooth, taste smell is improving a bit.

Begs a question. Wonder if anyone has ever dried and smoked a caterpillar?

Blueberry 1 came down today, day 84 of a 55-day breeder's spec grow! I cut it, weighed it, washed it, dried it, trimmed it, and hung it to dry in a box with holes for ventilation. Those are the basics, here are the details:

The chop

My scale displays Kg, so .254 Kg = 254 grams, yes?

3/4 cup H2O2 mixed with ~3.5 gallons water

Having a bath

Bathwater sludge

Most of the root ball

Hanging out to dry with a big fan

Not much trim. There were very few long sugar leaves. 6 grams if my conversion is correct. Into the freezer this goes in a separate bag

Box o' fans for the old freezer bag

All trimmed and ready to hang

Hung in the box with the vent holes and the RH meter. Fan will blow on the bottom and vent out the top

Itty bitty ball of scissor hash!

How did I do for a first timer????

Thanks! I have no idea if it's ok for flowering but since I washed all the buds with H2O2 solution I'm not worried about what's left on them.

I'd say get those 420 Blueberry seeds planted just based on how good it smells while it's drying! It will be awhile before I can post the smoke report bc I'm going for a solid cure. Could be a few months!

You're a better man than me. And hey, pw is such a busy man. He's always trying to help members and he's got his own playhouse going. Have you checked out his grow? I haven't in a good while now. Looks to me you did awesome, especially for your first time. Keep it up. Sorry I just found this thread or I'd have been here sooner. Take care shed.

I'm hoping to run these, 1 or two outside when I get em. To see how they do here in fl outdoors, as well as the short daylight hours from now until it cools off. Then I'll be putting my tent back up on the porch. Have nothing but tent & lights & floor fan, no inline fan, scrubber or whatnot. So the tent with lights (2 300w galaxy hydro leds) on is usually 15-20 deg warmer than outside. Can't wait. Love blueberry meds. Good day to ya!!

I would try a small nug when it's ready to jar...you might be shocked at how good it is.
