It’s A Landrace: Who’s In?

Hello folks!
I have been growing about 5 years now. I’m a huge fan of COCO. I have a very streamlined personal use setup :) I grow in a 2x4x6 tent with a Mars TSL2000W. I use Nectar of the Gods complete line, and I employ tons of training and sculpting techniques as to tame some of the wild as heck sativas I enjoy growing!

the strains I am growing currently are Malawi and Rainbow Jones! We are roughly 20 or so days into 12/12 lighting.

the trellis is a means of taming the incredibly stretchy Malawi. This is my third time growing Malawi and I have discovered all sorts of amazing ways to stunt this strain as a means of managing it. This specific Malawi spent the first 30 days of its life in 12/12 with little nutrition or light until the sex was determined. It was then transplanted into a 2gal coco container and put on 18/6 with a stable feeding schedule for 2 more weeks. I pinched, topped, trimmed, lollipopped and cleared the way for the structure you see today :D after I was certain that reveg had completed, I immediately flip back to 12/12 and just last week transplanted from the 2gal to its final 7gal container. :)

gonna be a crazy trip but I’m sure it’ll be tons of fun! Thanks for Joining me!

Something about great minds eh? You have a current journal?
No I don't, been too busy this summer but things are slowing down now so I may start one, possibly even tonight. I'll tag you when I get it started.

Good morning and what a beautiful day!
really warms me up to see all the warm welcomes and encouragement. Thank you all!

I have some updates on the Malawi! It continues on with its monstrous stretch. I have dimmed the Mars from 50% to 25% so that I could get the light much closer without burning the plant. I have had it hovering about 3 inches from the tops for about 3 days now with no issues.

I will update on the rainbow jones shortly! Stay blessed

Malawi's looking fine Hyper! How far into flower?
Thank you Stoneotter!

I flipped her about 3-4 weeks ago, she was more than ready to flower. I’ve grown Malawi several times and my first run was a disaster, she completely overtook the tent. I’ve since learned several methods of stunting/starving that make the flower period a bit more manageable. I’ve noticed older plants tend not to stretch as much.

Nice to know. I'm about to soak a Nevilles haze. Might need some hints.

I absolutely will help anyone I can with anything

also PE636 I’m totally impressed by your efficiency in using a 2x4 tent - great use of available space absolutely:thumb:

i got stoned and forgot to upload an update on the rainbow jones, but I managed to get a pic of the whole tent this morning when lights came on.

i keep having to trim off more and more plant matter on the Malawi to maintain the boundaries of my lollipop and it still hasn’t slowed the vertical stretch but it is what it is

I am stoked for the weekend y’all take it easy now
