Keffkas Seedsman Comparative: Purple Ghost Candy

Everyone is in their flowering containers. We’re at Day 48ish so we’ll flip to flower in about 2 weeks. Next step is cleaning up the plant shoots we don’t want, tying everyone down, and cleaning the room. Once that’s finished we’ll be pretty much done with the grow. We may do a top dress here or there but the majority of the work is done.

May go to flower a couple days early. Everyone is showing stigmas and staggered nodes. I’ll be watching the next few days

They’re growing ridiculously fast, we may go to flower at the end of the week. I’m waiting on one plant currently to show me she’s ready

I’ll be switching over to reservoir fed drip irrigation this weekend. That will allow me to be unchained from my grow, and I will no longer need to do much more than transplant and train as needed. I’ll cover the process in this journal. There’s a high probability I will wind up modifying the system for spraying as well.

Freeze warning tonight. Learned my lesson last year and held off germinating the garden thankfully.

Girls are lookin good ! what kind of drip system do you have?

Thanks! @VIVOSUN sent me an Airwave oscillating clip on fan to review a while back and I loved it. Still use it as one of the main fans. I saw this on Amazon for 39$ and figured I’d give it a shot:

One dripper should cover the 3 gallons easily. I’m thinking I’ll need two for the 10 gallon containers. I have a hardware store at the end of my block so any issues or upgrades will be easy to handle.

The crew. Temps fell to 30 F last night, the tent fell to 68 F. That’s manageable since we have so much myco and bacteria. Everyone was still looking good even cold. Some slight clawing but I’m not surprised, there’s a lot of nutrition in the pot and the room needs to be 10 degrees warmer to really process it.

I’ve been lazy about labeling and photos lately, here’s a quick breakdown at Day 54:

I decided to scrap the Vivosun drip irrigation kit and just build my own. I’ll document the process. If I get my pump in time we should be up and running tonight

My fingers are sore and it took me twice as long as I planned but I have it setup. Now just the fine tuning and I’ll be able to automate watering

nice feeding system. is it straight timed or do you check and feed ? didn't quite figure that out.

i've noticed and posted about the lighter phenos as well in my PGC thread. i think some either crave more calmag or feed different. the leaves are lighter right from start. i'm ramping nutes a bit higher on my PGC seedling a bit faster as a result.

Thanks! I already have a bunch of changes I want to make which I knew would happen as soon as I laid it down. I also need to read a lot more on fluid dynamics so I can understand water flow a bit better. I battled a siphon issue I didn’t need to battle since my emitters come out higher than my pump. That’s what I get for testing it in a space that wasn’t my grow.

I’m currently doing check and feed while I feel out the timing. I’m thinking standardizing my flowering pots will make it easier. Trying to run enough water for 10 gallons while not flooding the 3 gallons is a bit tricky. I may need a little more fine control than I currently have to make it happen. It’ll probably take a couple months to get to full automation if I insist on using different pot sizes.

Yep, I hammered them right out of the gate and they still showed. It’s either going to be a light colored pheno, or a hungry pheno that needs a bigger root mass to satiate it. Unfortunately, my light colored plants are the ones I topped so I can’t say if it’s coloring or hunger.

I would lean toward color since you’re also seeing it in a salt grow and root mass isn’t as critical for hunger. We’ll get a bit better of an idea once yours grow a bit more now that you bumped up.

Bought a pack of 360 degree controllable drip nozzles and a 40 pk of quick connect fittings. They should be here tomorrow. It’ll make connecting the water lines vastly easier, and the 360 heads will let me dial in individual containers so I can put the system on a timer.

Hi Keff :)

If I’m good and quiet and promise not to say fuck can I watch?

I too make promises on the internet I have no chance of keeping :laughtwo:

Any and all are always welcome! I talk to myself a lot but I also post pictures so it sort of balances out in my mind lol
