Landrace Durban Poison Outdoor Grow

On my way to catch some shuteye I noticed talk of DP. Caught my attention Lerugged. Not regularly referred to around our home much anymore. Look forward to seeing those buds. Also the re-vegging. Going to be trying that as soon as my Buddha cheese is ready. Eyes closing........ I'm off

Hey Lerugged - nice to catch up wth your garden. It’s wonderful to see the light and how similar it is to the light here! Southern Hemisphere sun has its own particular quality.

I'm loving the views of table mountain in the background
IKR! Spectacular! :eek::D

:bravo:

Also interested in this Durban Poison you have. I have some on order - not Landrace as yours are though, what a fantastic thing to have been gifted . I’m looking forward to watching these ones finish.

Thanks so much Amy for the kind words. Nothing beats the sun for me. I am incredibly lucky to have been left these seeds and more strains from the rest of Africa.
I'll try keep as up to date as possible during flowering. Hope you have a super Day.

Hey. Thanks for stopping by. Guessing you are in KZN? It's almost like the strain has disappeared from the list of mainstream strains available here these days. I guess people are looking for different and "better" strains . Such a pity as the landraces of Africa and southern Africa are so unique in effect and terpene variety that in my opinion if grown expertly can hold their own against a lot of the new strains around.
Actually probably unfair to even compare them as they are so different.
Peace

Thanks Lerugged. I will catch up every couple of days as I will be away every other night for a week or two.
yip, our strains are good. I have hundreds of Pondo seeds maybe will give them a whirl in the greenhouse. I like the look of those DP though. awesome backdrop as well. Ahh Africa. Peace 2U2

Preweekend update.
Good morning all
So not much has changed, the Monster Crop is shooting pistils like a good thing. Getting a bit of vertical stretch and hoping for a bit more length to the cola's before she starts filling out.
Big lady is just doing her thing. Thinking she will take quite a bit longer.
Anyways first batch monster crop lady then the big girl.
Hope you all have a kickass weekend.

So the vibe the last few days has been pretty chilled. No wind and lots of sun. Just a few snaps, not much changing really. Clones were put out. I have space for only 2 mothers and maybe 6 clones the coming spring. They out grew their cups so I had to put them out. All in different locations . Not expecting much from them but I'd be interested in how they react given different locations, mutes and pot size. More on that another dat.

Great journal, fantastic plants! Nothing better than an outdoor grow, except true landraces outdoors.

Nice work, @Lerugged !!

Grow on!

That Durban Poison is nuts :) looking at it, I am having second thoughts about my DP in a box :)
Yeah, keeping the pot small Will definitely help. And training those branches to stay low daily. I think it's possible and if going by your previous grows you are the person who can do it. To be honest I've never tried to make it grow smaller and I'm all about experimenting so I'm looking forward to seeing your grow finish up nice and neat In that box

Thanks so Much. I appreciate it.
I could watch them in the sun all day. Welcome and thanks for stopping by.

Do it. Grow that shiz. Hard! Grow it so hard. It's a beautiful plant that one. Great sativa.
Here is a pic of the leaves of the 'big lady's ' broad leaves . Katins is on the money.... top and pull down although imbalances bit otherwise and grow 70% and then top a few weeks before stretch. Works for me but probably not a conventional method. :)

I decided to answer here. Don't want to get Katins thread derailed for a bit.
I will grow those pondo's. Just gotta get my blueberries into my grow cupboards. That should be about another forty days or so, then I'll put in some pondo. By that time I should be able to run a proper grow journal on that grow.
