Life In The Day Of A Coco Grower

Well the next cycle of life has begun with two Sugar Cane seeds from In House Genetics.

Looking great bro. I hope all is great and wishing you all the best over the holidays

As well as can be @KCCO 77 however y health depreciated a lot since we last smoke that's limiting my growing, how's everything with you bud.
Surviving. Honestly despite my struggles nothing going on I can’t handle so I’m thankful for that. As crap as it seems sometimes I know many r dealing with things that nobody should have to deal with and I’m sorry to hear about your health. Not too sure WTF is going on this year but it will be over soon and I’m thankful for that.
I’ve had to bring my mom to live with me and my wife as she is in bad health. My wife is nursing her back to health slowly.
She has many ailments from diabetes, obesity and many other things so between carpenter , grower now nurse/ psw/ taxi driver it a serious learning curve and one hell of a ride.

Those sugar canes going in coco? Should be tasty for sure.

Keep medicated and stay safe my friend it will get better.
Play safe and enjoy

Your right this year has been absolutely unreal like with myself and a lot of others it's devastated peoples mental health but atleast you've got your mum around you so atleast whole all this is going on you'll know she's safe with you that's for sure.

I'm very undecided on what to put them in as I've got Coco but I can also pop them in Soil like I've been growing in ad I've noticed all the Coco bud I've grown this year and just harvested it has absolutely no smell until you break it open but the soil plants stick after drying.

Well that's the two Sugar Cane seeds germinated and placed into peat plugs and today they will be placed into a 12oz cup with either soil or Coco I'm very undecided right now.

Soaked the plugs in Great White with PH'd bottled water.

Well 1 sof the seedlings died due to my incompetence in germinating them so I've started germinating the 3 remaining seeds in water then paper towel then into coco.

I'll be scrogging the 4 in either 1 or 2 tents 2 or 4 plant setups I'm really unsure until they start growing as I'd really like to switch to Flower on the 1st of February which is cutting it really short however I'm running in coco along with Great White and other root enhancements to ensure they create a healthy root system, the great plus with using 50x50mm mesh is that you really don't need to cover the whole space to fill the space as the smaller screen holes help massively with spreading 1 colas branches into quite proportionate sets of colas.

After I've taken 8 clones from these 4 on Flower transition day I'll then veg 4 clones up in another tent scrog and veg the other remaining 4 clones up to use as potential mothers which also means I'll be using the second generation rather than the 3rd as a mother if that makes sense, once I've chosen the tastiest pheno I'll flower the remaining 3 mothers off.

This is my first time pheno hunting and I'm really excited to hopefully find a winner, I've chosen Coco to work with this time around and I'm looking at using Floraflex for my Nutrients and fittings that I already use, they are currently in 12oz cups that will then be transplanted into 17.5L fabric pots with 6" Floraflex caps and a waste system to remove all run off and for this I'll more than likely run upwards of 3x daily feeds.

Well I've decided to run 4 of these Tropicanna Poisons from Sweet Seeds and I'm really hoping for a tasty pure red pheno to come out so let's hope we find a great potential mother!

So the first time I ever planted cannabis seeds I put them straight into a medium and had all 10 germinate, for the past few runs I've killed seeds due to poor germination techniques in which on this occasion I decided to prepare Coco in 12oz cups with a top dressing of Great White Mycorhizzal then drenched and drained with water, seeds then popped in with a little more water on top while being placed in IKEA bags which helps keep moisture and heat in massively great.

I've some big plans for this year to find some great phenos, flavours and colours to hopefully create some of the highest quality meds that I'm ever to grow.

Hey buddy I hope all is well and 2021 is treating you good. Happy new year.
Sounds like you got a plan this year and hopefully you’ll find exactly what your looking for. Got to start searching somewhere :thumb:
Play safe and enjoy

Hey buddy happy new year to you too!

Yeah I really cannot wait, I must admit every seed I've grown last year had really poor phenos with absolutely no taste no matter what medium used, organic or not they all taste poor and smell is basically not there until you break up the bud but let's be honest here I was growing free seeds that I got with my order and hoping I could find a diamond so now I'm being realistic so I'm hoping the Sugar Canes By In House Genetics and Tropicanna Poison F1s give me something of a better taste and high

Hey buddy I hope all is good. Sounds like a wicked plan.

Most of my weed get made into concentrate. Since 2012 I have only really found 2 stains that r proven to extract a high yield and great flavours for my liking.
I have ran lots of stains through veg then flower then concentrate and boom not for me lol. Waste of 5 months.

Keep searching your diamond is out there waiting to be found by you.

it may take many years to find her but she’s out there.

Play safe and enjoy and enjoy my friend

I'm certainly going for the search this year for sure, I just want a great tasting pheno!

We'll a few weeks back I fed 3 small plants with a bubblegum concentrate to a few watering and all 3 today are smelling like bubblegum, it's amazing what's happened here but one things for sure the concentrate turned the plants extremely dark green near to what N problems look like, apart from the buds not looking as the last 2 phenos I grew but bon the less all 3 are the same and I'll grab some photos tomorrow.

This is my Big Nugs Fast at Day 42 of Flower and I plan to run them until day 60 but start flushing at day 50, this will be the last run for this strain for a while for me while I chose my pheno tasting hunt.

Would I recommend, yes highly but I also highly recommend you run a good 10+ to find a perfect pheno, the mix up to now has seen around 4 phenos out of 6 plants.

Well all 4 of my Tropicanna Poisons have germinated magnificently so that's the method I'm sticking with everytime like I started off with in the very beginning.

I'll raise them closer to the light from tomorrow and hopefully we'll see some growth take off soon.

IMG_20210107_223111.jpg

Well my Sugar Cane seeds are no where near how they should be due to my downfalls from firstly poor germination techniques the one died due to root damage so I'm hopeful for the remaining 3 germinating below ground while the 1 above ground is growing strong so I'm happy somethings going good.

My plan is to run them in 17.5L Square fabric pots while being scrogged in which I'm hoping to create the canopy around 3ft from the floor as I've noticed the lower the canopy height the higher the humidity.

Well I got a Christmas present I'm really enjoying but I need some further help and reccomendations for lenses and settings.

These photos are from the last Big Nugs Fast harvest last month from Pheno #1 Coco Grown.

Well I've added some more fruity strains to the HGH seedbank go play with through the year and I'm so excited to finally try some genuine fruity background genetics and something not mass made with a different photo slapped on!

If anyone's got any info on the following strains I'd be very appreciated.

Screenshot_20210124_133933.jpg

So this year's line up starts out with the following:

- 2 In-House Genetics Sugar Cane
- 4 Sweet Seeds Tropicanna Poison

Strains I'm germinating next week:

- 1 Delicious Seeds Black Sugar Rose
- 1 Pheno Finder Simple Wedding Cake

The plan is finally to run these and choose 1 pheno from each strain with the best taste and potency, im not interested too much on yield this time around as I know I can get make up for it with stronger better quality buds, as for the single seeds I'm germinating I will keep those as mothers unless they aren't what I'm looking for.

Well there coming along nicely I just wish I was too .

Cleaned flower tent one out and placed the current seedlings in there under the Mars SP250 and I plan to germinate another 2 when they turn up and pop them under the T5.

I plan to take cutting('s) from the biggest Sugar Cane on the top left and run a scrog in Flower tent two with them.

Left two and cupped plants are Sugar Cane and the other 4 are Tropicanna Poison.

Well today I started germinating 2 seeds, 1 Sugar Black Rose and 1 Simple Wedding Cake S1 and placed them straight into coco and watered with Great White in 1L pots.

Each plant I grow ill wait till they have reached 8 nodes and top at around the 4th node and use each topping as the next potential mother only if the taste is okay.

To try and run as many potential mothers as possible I'm debating all over again whether or not to simply run each plant into flower after I've topped them or use a little extra time and create 6 plant scrogs per tent and if I did this then that
