MrBubbles Perpetual Grow

After I down load pics to the computer I can rotate them before I upload them to this site.

If only if we're that simple Josh lol. I really only ever use my phone. I recently got a Note 3 and I'm finally able to upload pics onto the website directly from my phone. Unfortunately for some reason they are getting turned sideways. In my phone photo gallery they're correct. They're all portrait photos as well but when I upload onto the site they get flipped sideways.

So far based on my research my phone saves the orientation the photo was taken in. Ie. Portrait vs landscape. Apparently the note 3 is designed to take pics in landscape. Any pics taken in portrait will be uploaded sideways lol. Stupid thing that shouldn't be an issue but nonetheless I believe I've figured it out.

Finally got my pics figured out. I think they are a big improvement over my previous ones. Mainly just random pics of my veg tent and flower tent. The up close bud pic St the end is a blue Thai that's about 5 weeks. I also put some picks up of an LST I decided to do on my 5gal ultrasour last night. There are a few seedlings of basil, Thai peppers, and cilantro as well. Enjoy :Namaste:

Quick question for you guys. Im trying to spruce up my sig and having some difficulties. I've noticed most of you have your journal titles as a button that takes you to the link. I can't figure out how to do the same. As you can see my sig has the actual link vs title.

Hey man plants look beautiful as usual! To create a link too your journal as a button all have to do is type out what you want to say then highlight it. Once its highlighted go ahead and click the link button and it will imbed that link into whatever you have highlighted. thats how I do it atleast.

I have a note 2 and it does the same picture crap lol I hate how it loads them up sideways

Thanks Bp! It worked :)

This Note 3 is so awesome compared to my iPhone 5. Especially the camera. Can't wait to see how frosty my pics get closer to harvest. Feels like I've been tricked by Apple for years lol

Here's a few pics of the rest of my 5 gal wild Thai harvest. Very airy buds. I couldve grown it a lot better but I'm still happy with the results. It's a slightly fruity sandalwood pepper smell/taste. Has a very strong sativa head high which is great for work all day. Can't wait to grow this plant right.

It was a crazy busy weekend guys. I made some recent upgrades that I'm not quite sure about. I ended up buying a drip irrigation kit at home depot for $30 on a whim. Big mistake! I failed to make a plan and the result was an out of budget nightmare. I ended up with a decent system but it cost me $125!

My first mistake was thinking I could do a drip feed irrigation system for 48 small plants in a 3x3 area. That's 48 individual droppers to plug up and try to manuver.

My second mistake was buying the kit. I could've easily constructed a much better system from scratch. I even have a few leaks that I'm not happy with.

My final mistake was making my table too tall. It works but id like it about 6in lower. Too big of a pita to change now.

Basicly I got knee deep and realized it wasn't a good idea but I'd already spent too much money so I had to make it work.

Beyond the minor leaks my only other concern is whether nutrients will plug up my .5 gph droppers. I can install an inline filter if I need to.

All in all I think this will work for now. It was a great learning opportunity and it is changeable. I can run can run various plant counts/sizes. I'm thinking of running 12 3gal in the future and just putting 4 droppers per pot.

In the future I'd much rather do a flood/drain table.

And finally my Ryot order arrived. I love the box and the smell proof case is def worth it. Don't think I'll be making full melt anytime soon but a launch box of straight kief is pretty good.

Also, we had a power outage this morning for about 7 hours. The girls went to bed 2 hrs early and got woke back up for 10 mins when it turned back on. Don't think it'll cause hermis but still scary. Really makes me second guess hydro without a generator for backup cuz I could've lost all my clones in the aero cloner.

That's it for today. Let me know if you have any questions. Suggestions are most welcome too!

:Namaste:

Forgot the pic of the case lol

Looks great Mrbubbles87. I tried using emitters on my system and my pump couldn't create enough pressure to make them flow. I removed the emitters and control the flow via pump size. With the DIY hydro system I built.... I could have bought two pre built systems. But hey, I built it myself damn it. :thedoubletake:

That was the biggest price increase. I ended up getting a 300gph pond pump for $40. Straight water seems to work really well but not sure about nutrients plugging it up. Might add the filter to be safe.

I defended this to my wife as a college course in irrigation lmao. The way I figure it any professional grower needs to experiment with irrigstion systems. All the large operations I've seen have to use automated irrigation. Sure I could buy a pre built but then I wouldn't understand how it works.

Yours is waaaay better then mine btw :)

Last night was another busy night in the garden. That seems to be happening a lot lately lol.

I'm working on reducing that work load. 20 hrs extra hours a week is no bueno. My plan is to reduce plant counts dramatically.

Right now I'm growing 9 5 gal and 48 2l. My plan is to drop down to 6 5 gal and 12 3 gal plants. The 5 gal will all be hand watered and eventually high brix. The 3 gal will be hooked up to the dripper irrigation system. Eventually running coco on a 4x4 tray.

My new process will be from cloner to 1 gal pots to 3 gal or 5 gal. I can fit 20 1 gal clones on the top shelf of my veg tent, 4 3 gal on the bottom, and 3 5 gal on the bottom. I began this conversion last night.

As you can see I moved 10 clones directly from the cloner to 1 gal pots. I'll keep them in these for 1 month then 3 gal for 1 month, and then flower. With the 5gal plants I'll do 1 month in the 1 gal and then 2 mos of veg in the 5 gal. Possibly shorter veg times.

These recent clones were planted in pro mix. I had a bunch of extra perlite so I put an inch layer on top.

There's also a pic of my Northern Light x Skunk that I topped/cloned for the first time last night.

Space will become an issue with this method but I do plan on upgrading to a 4x4 veg tent to accomodate. Just waiting on the return :)

The Kief from my Ryot box is insane. I've been watching a lot of bubble man videos lately which convinced me to try a screen on my bong for Kief dabs. I'm hooked lol. Tastes so amazing and smooth especially with hemp wick. It's so hard not to grind all my bud up and run it over the screen. Can't recommend this enough guys. I'm making Kief every time I load a bowl and it's fun to do lol.

20140217_231705.jpg

I also made a large batch of butter last night. Think it'll be my best batch yet. Going to make chocolate chip oatmeal cookies tonight that call for a whole stick of butter :tokin:

That kief looks super fresh and tasty mrbub, almost looks wet, bomb!! & as I have said that box is sweet, looks like a quality product. My grinder seems to clog and I barely accumulate any kief.. Might be time for a ryot :)

Your girls are looking sweet, enjoying your porta scrogs :) They are going to start filling up quick in the next weeks!
Especially when they have another 4x4 to stretch into, you are going to need another room at this point to house your garden brotha ;)

Also, great work on your table always better making something you can use with your own hands rather than buying.
Reps being pushed your way mrbub! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods :joint:

Thanks for the kind words as always CA! :Namaste:

The pics just don't do the kief justice. The hps in the background makes it look green. It's actually damn near white. Reminds me of dabbing oil out in CO. Just put a scoop on the screen in the bong and rip it all at once with a hemp wick.

The double screen is a must. The kief looks just like my space case after the first screen. Very green with particles but after the second screen it's cleaned up pretty good. It actually clumps together when I put sticky buds on top. It will always melt together between my fingers. Can't wait to upgrade to bubbleman's 4 screen system. Ironically he's turned me off my bubble bags and into dry sift lol.

Can't say enough good stuff about the box. It dries buds super fast or if I put a small square of paper towel with a drop of water it will increase humidity and clump up the kief. Honestly mine was overpriced. There were a few very small defects like a magnet thats missing and one that need to be pushed in further. Really not a big deal but still frustrating when they charge $80 for it. Other than those defects it's constructed very well.

The porta scrogs are a love hate relationship lol. Still trying to decide if I'll keep training the 5 gal or not. I'll make a final decision after a few scrogs harvests. Otherwise I'm considering running 3 gal porta scrogs on my irrigation table in coco. Then growing full size plants in 5 gal using high brix and hand watering.

Can't wait for the extra veg space. Really wish I had an outdoor option. Im sure after I expand to a 4x4 I'll be doing another expansion 6 mos later :)

Going to end up keeping the 2x4 so I might have that for breeding or experiments or mothers. Haven't decided yet lol.

Thanks for the props on the table. It turned out decent. Just had a bunch of free wood to use up. In retrospect id make it shorter and less bulky but it works :thumb:

Hope all is well for you bro! I'm sure your enjoying the sage and sour :roorrip:

The butter turned out amazing! Easily my best batch yet. Not sure how much trim I used. It was a variety of all my recent harvests. I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!

I made them pretty small but they are really powerful. We had a couple each before going out to eat and it was the highest we've been in a long time lol.

The Mrs was so messed up she passed out as soon as we got home at 8 lol. So I harvested my first 4 SOG plants. They ended up at about 7 weeks each. Probably could have let them go a couple more weeks but I have too many plants. Plus I've heard that smaller plants take less time and the trichs were 50 cloudy 50 clear. They were flushed for about a week. Once with sledgehammer and once with straight water.

Was pretty impressed with the results. I picked up this 2L technique up from Josh. It favors yields per square ft vs plant. Depending on final weights these results may make me reconsider my plans. Possibly a 24 1 gallon SOG vs 12 3 gal. I ended up with 4 plants and 3 strains from 1 square foot. They include an agent o, blue thaI, and a dinachem.
