N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

I started back with three too, I think it’s a good number to dip your toes back into growing with. ;)

I totally agree, the beginning is always so slow seeming! All that work happening below ground. Now that you’ve got some nodes to count, I bet it’ll be moving along nicely for ya. :thumb:
Great minds think alike :high-five: I was thinking 3 would be a good number to be able to spread them out a bit once they get into flower and save myself a bit of work as things go along.

Think next time I should use clear solos so I can see what’s going on under ground! They got 2 nodes now and seem to be picking up the pace, should be ready for their first topping in a week or so!

Hey Everyone.

Got an update on the little ladies tonight. It’s day 17 above ground today and they continue to progress nicely.

The little ladies working on their 4th node now and a couple of days ago finally drank their solos dry, it’s the first time they needed water since they were planted. I gave them their first feed of Kick Start which is a seedling and early Veg food to keep them happy. Once they are ready for a watering again I’ll feed them with Flora Flex ( Veg version) and will continue with that until 2 weeks after the flip.

In other news I changed their light cycle form 24 hrs to 18/6 a couple of days ago and they haven’t missed a beat!

I’m still continuing to get the light intensity dialed in, I have them at 200 PPFD currently and will leave them there for a bit. I tried turning it up to 200 a few days ago but they weren’t ready and were showing signs of light damage again so it’s gonna be slow and steady with these girls!

That’s all for now, thanks for stopping by and showing your support it means a lot:green_heart:

They're off to a good start, N420.

Looking forward! :Rasta:

Thanks GDB! Yes they are moving right along, soon we will be at the part of the grow where I can actually do something with them! Twiddling my thumbs while I stare at them is getting a bit boring lol.

Crap! Sorry I missed that update but all three are doing damn fine whether I see them or not. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Also, this pic is watching me...

Thanks Shed! I fed them their first dose of Flora Flex a couple of days ago, we are well on our way to their fist topping!

Hahaha ya I could probably remove the paper clip stake, just being a bit lazy!

Update Time!

Day 23 above ground ( pics from day 22 )

Moving along nicely, had a small hiccup a couple of days ago, the ladies were looking a touch droopy. Checking the PPFD they were at 400! I dialed the intensity back to 330 PPFD and they bounced right back, thinking they grew up a bit to close to the light not enough for me to notice but they sure did.

They have grown up to their 5th node now so a topping is eminent. The plan is to quadline these ladies this time around, I pulled off my biggest yield ever using quadline training so I’m going to give it another go!

Happy growing everyone!

Happy growing everyone!
Love that side profile, beautiful happy healthy plants :cheer:

Lovely and obviously well taken care of!
:green_heart:
Thanks Shed! Filling up the humidifier twice a day is finally paying off lol.

Love that side profile, beautiful happy healthy plants :cheer:
Thank you Rex, I thought the side profile would give a good indication of their growth, you can count the nodes in the pic lol. I’ve been quite happy with the genetics so far, they are all very consistent don’t see much difference between them, it’s almost like they are clones!

Also wanted to say thanks to @stinker for stopping by to check out my grow.

Lil beauties N! :morenutes::Namaste:
:thanks: Candy!
Lookin good here N. Are you going to top then transplant, or vice versa? I do love a good quad, so symmetrical and pleasing to the eye.
Thanks Hh! I was planning on topping them in the solo. Reason being is I’m waiting for them to get just a bit more growth above their 5th node so when I top them I have a Hh Stump®️ afterward!

I’m waiting to transplant until they can use up their water in the solo in 24 hrs and at this point it’s taking them about 3 days until they need to be watered again.

I was pretty happy with the way the quads turned out last time, you are right they do make for some nice symmetrical plants with nice strong branches to hold up those buds!

Happy Saturday! Time for a day 27 update.

The Plant of the Grapes ladies had grown past their 5th node so it was time to stop twiddling my thumbs and get the snips out!

First the before pics

I got a start on the quadline training by topping all the ladies at the 5th node and then removing the first and second nodes.

After

The girls are left with nodes 3 and 4. All of the plants energy will be focused on the remaining growth tips and these will become the 4 main branches for these girls. Once the growth tips are long enough they will be tied down to create an x, all remaining growth on the bottom of the x will be removed.

It’s a waiting game for now until they get some more growth so it’s back to twiddling my thumbs lol.

Happy Growing!

Looking great and movin right along! :morenutes::Namaste:
Thanks Candy! Yes moving right along, I’ve got no complaints about these ladies so far hopefully it stays that way lol
Nice start to the quad
Thank you Shed! The topping and node removal went well and I’m seeing a nice bounce back!
When will they be ready for transplant?
Now that you mentioned it!

I transplanted them last night into 1 gallon pots! They were ready, they were using all the water up in the solos in about 48 hrs.

Only got one root porn pic, the phone died in the middle of the up can.

Seeing some nice growth from the growth tips right below the topping, they are around an inch long now!

Worked for me!
Perfect! I blame my kids for the dead phone lol. They play Roblox on it, if you don’t know what that is be thankful! They always give the phone back after it’s basically out of batteries so there’s that!
