Northern Lights + Bag Seeds From 2 Different Countries - 2013

4 more seeds germinated, and all have sprouted. The 24 hr soak in water + paper plate always works for me. I have named them Eiwa, Isis, Khufu & Khafre.

RIP ygritte... i had to put her down. those leaves were getting ridiculous, and she hadn't even made it to 7 leaves yet. here's a last photo of her before i took her out. i made some mistakes while grooming and ended up cutting off lower stems like an idiot, and she never really recovered. to be honest, she had been droopy the past few days.. not sure why.
I went ahead and potted Eiwa. the rest of the babies are still in the middle.
When i went to dispose of Ygritte I did have a chance to take a lot at the coco pots.. and all i can say is WOW. not only does it break down perfectly within the pot, but the roots had no problems at all growing outside of the pot itself. In hindsight i should've repotted all of them before i did the LST.. because if Ygritte had roots outside the pot i know Dany and Drago most def. will and i'm afraid that the roots will tear when i try and transplant later. hopefully the entire root ball will be dry enough to where i can just yank out the entire deal and repot it in a bigger hexagon pot. With the bigger plants, i'm trying to curtail their growth now until the babies more or less catch up. by LST'ing i'm hoping to stop vertical growth (at least for a week or two) while the side nodes get nice and full, while the plant is still small. i know all i need to do is rotate the plant to encourage more top growth, so usually i keep the top canopy away from the light, while the stem gets the majority of the light. i have another 240W CFL on the way, so once i have the two i'll be able to veg until all the plants are ready, and then go ahead and try to flower all the females at the same time. i'm thinking with 2 240W w/2800K should be able to flower 5 plants if i use the SOG method.

had a little situation with Nirvana. first, let me say this. out of 10 seeds, 8 popped, i messed up on one seed, and i gave one to my buddy. so 100% success rate as far as i am concerned. i did have some problems with a new order of blue mystic however. took them almost a week to process my payment. i complained, and i got a email saying in addition to my order they were gonna "toss in some freebies" 
i was happy!!

Dany and Drago are both doing well, and the canopy is developing over the entire pot, which is great news.

Dany is starting to look like a forest all in of herself. check out her stem now
LST'ing is definately the way to go to curtail growth. once i repot, i can simply cut off the bottom of these 1 gal pots and put them in even larger hexagons.. so no FIM, no topping, no transplanting. i want my plants to have the easiest life possible. with that in mind, i came up with a nice way to hold down the main stems, without using paper clips.
i don't know what you call them, but they work EXCELLENT. you can adjust the tension however you want, and the cord won't be rough on the stem at all. also reusable for other plants and easy to clean.

Drago likes to show off his flexibility. his stem goes back, then left (back.. then left... back.. then left) and then up. when he gets about 6 or 7 inches taller i'll pull him forward, creating two levels of canopies and hopefully using the entire pot for both levels. for the other pots, i'm just going straight back, and then forward like a "S" shape and then i'll tie the colas together shooting straight up. best way i can think of to grow at least 5 or 6 plants. no sea of green, no SCROG just tight close growth upwards. anywayz, here's a pic of drago's stem

thanks Jeff. as far as the odor, i got
right now smell isn't a problem. when i walk into the room it smells awesome actually.. not a weed smell, but like a clean forest piney-type smell. i shouldn't have a problem with the NLs, its the bag seed plants that have me worried. the rose seeds are because i want to start a nice garden, and eventually move some of the plants outside. i just really like the process of growing things and now i wanna do as many awesome flowers, roses and of course the other thing too lol

i got all of em' in pots now. khufu and the american had to go into pots i made from dasani jugs! figure out of all of these plants i'm starting at LEAST 5 should be female. (fingers crossed) only then will i transplant them into the bigger pots. all the other ones will be destroyed. decided this go round to not experiment with breeding, i just wanna get my first grow down and then in the future i can do more.

Drago is starting his final journey.. going forward about 4 or 5 inches before he should be center mass over the pot again.
