Step By Step Blueberry & Northern Lights Autos By Farside

Day 46 - Got the girls out for a good drenching this AM. Everyone went to the tub for a 2 gallon feed. Kind of a continuation of last watering. I ran a good amount through them to help flush out any build up. In the pictures, the #2s are on the left, and the #1s the right.

Everything is looking awesome. You definitely have one hell of a journal hear!!

Quick question. When did you flush them the first time and how often do you flush your plants?

The first time I "flushed" them was week 6 when I noticed a couple spots on leaves. I've had grows where I did not flush at all. I think I may start doing it every 2 weeks in the future and see how that works out. My "flush" is really just running enough of whatever strength feed I'm using at the time through them until I get about half of what I put in, out. Example, it takes a gallon and a half before I get runoff, then I'll run 3 gallons through them.

Heya, quick question! :)what kinda wattage is that tower fan? As I'll be needing onefor my girls as the winter is getting colder

My tower fan is just that, a fan, no heater.

Looking good! i Hope my NL get as good as yours seems to be, i'm moving out for a New home next month And i Will start my Grow as soon as i get there!

I'm gonna have to look at autos. Youre makng them look good!

Thanks. I've grown both photos and autos. I must say, I love the quick turn around time with autos. I'm impatient by nature. My photos have seemed more potent though, not that the autos have been any slouch.

Best of luck. Post up a journal for it se we can follow along.

So is Northern Lights a slouch in the smell department. I've heard it's not so stinky. The blueberry I got going smells weird. Maybe the flowers will smell better with time.

I don't find it strong. This batch is a little lemony. My first grow with them was a little more pine.

Day 51 - A little bud porn from NL1 on this Father's Day. The Blueberries both got a gallon of feed yesterday and the Northerns will get theirs later today. NL1 is mostly cloudy with a few clear yet. NL2's hairs are starting to receed. BB2 is starting to fatten up a bit and BB1 is just starting to fill in voids. At least the harvest should be staggered so I don't have to trim it all at once.

How do you know you stunted it? They slow down for a day or so usually, then keep on keeping on

It's a belief that I picked up. It might be a bit contrarian but it's based on the idea that; if you don't overfeed your plants, you give them what they need in the ratios they need it, you won't have a bunch of excess that needs flushed out. You may notice that the EC of my schedule is much lower than other schedules. The second half of the belief is that you don't harvest fruits or vegetables from a dying plant (starving it to the point the foliage turns yellow) you want it to be healthy. Or, if you prefer, since bud is a flower, would you want a rose from a wilty dying plant or a thriving one.

Maybe I'm full of shit, but you asked the question so I answered. Its what I do but you can easily decide to discontinue feeding a week before harvest if you like and just give them water.
With no flush, how does your final product taste?, burn?, feel?
