This! Please and Thank you!.... I have an attic that’s free (which might make my wife happier than the tent taking up a 1/4 of a room in our already tiny house)... I’m a capable individual, but often doubt my abilities on projects I haven’t attempted... so having a “reference” would greatly help me infer what I need and how to go about it.

I'm putting in rolled R25 insulation on all exterior walls. Garage is under. I'll insulate before decking the entire space
Gotcha. I was just surprised they didn't insulate the house from the attic.

Ahhh! They did the same in my house where they didn't insulate where the roof goes over the front porch. What did they save, 50 bucks?

Uncontrollable heat has kept me away from our attic. In the south, that is gonna be a battle without heavy insulation and lots of AC. But if you pull it off, well, you know we'll copy you... LOL!

I've worked in so many attics when I was younger, get it done before hot weather sets in.

Spray foam insulation, imo. I don't know if that stuff is expensive?

Haha! Yes it is....
I'm also trying to keep it so I can remove everything, relatively unnoticed, when we sell this place.

My thoughts too...
I'm gonna need to basically build a refrigerator shell up there to hold all the a/c without needing to keep it cranked constantly.
