I'd love to see a society where we have no laws against individual liberties. It just ain't freedom otherwise.

it's called libertarianism.

it's a political philosophy very close to the tenets of anarchy. it advances the belief that there is no higher authority than the individual. it rejects all forms of gov't and all religious beliefs at it's core as well, though many on the extreme political right will claim to be both libertarian, and adherents of christianity in particular.

Perfect assessment. Exactly right. It was at the root of the what happened at the Capitol. Those people felt the same way. Not that any of them could speak one word about any "philosophy" they have. They don't have any. Just hate. Infantile feelings of "I'm not going to be controlled by anyone ever for any reason and the slightest thing is an attempt at control" type of thing. It's sad that so many in this country adhere to the trump doctrine of hared.

I suppose, however, if individuals do not adhere to some form of discipline society will fall into anarchy. So some form of law (we'll call it common law) is necessary in a civilized society. Non-civilized means no forward progression (we would still be riding in horse drawn carriages) and America has already come so far.

I think what those people felt was abandonment by their government and a feeling of betrayal at the thought of their "freedom" being stolen by their own governmental system... ie false voter ballots ousting the guy who said he would "clean out" the swamp. Though I think Trump sealed his own fate when he did not veto the 20 trillion for the flu.

there is a left wing form of libertarianism as well. libertarianism can be overlayed on top of most political ideologies. it actually began as a left-ist style of philosophy and morphed dramatically once it crossed the ocean and became established in the early part of american history.

many of the framers of the declaration of independence and eventually the american constitution were early adherents of libertarian political philosophy. their version was nothing like european brand of socialist leaning libertarian ideals, and they still held a belief in the role of gov't as a unifying and positive institution.

This is probably what drove Judas to betray Christ as well as the people to want for Barnabas instead of the guy who could heal sickness and raise the dead. Taxation is a sin, hope Christ learned his lesson.

Except that the entire voter fraud thing is a myth. It doesn't exist. It was a lie from day one when trump first started peddling it. The election was investigated in every state trump contested. Over and over again. In every state he got shot down. At every level. IT WAS A FUCKING LIE. ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD BELIEVE OTHERWISE. He was attempting a coup and he failed because the government worked the way it was supposed to. Those idiots at the capitol aren't smart enough to feel anything like what you described. They were and are a bunch of hunky ass, uneducated, racist, white supremecist pieces of shit. Nothing more. They latched on to the cult of personality that was trump and reacted as their fuhrer instructed them to. It's pathetic. The only thing more pathetic is trying to explain them as anything other than what I described and trying to defend them in the slightest.

when taken to an extreme all political movements and philosophies become dictatorships. they all act and look identical from the outside. doesn't matter where they emerge from on the spectrum.

so lets go grow some weed then.

You are not counting the millions of dollars that the democrats spent trying to drum up votes from every welfare recipient they could find dead or alive... but yea the whole thing is a crock. Like I said taxation is a sin.

I'm not defending Trump or the government... I don't think he was trying to attempt a coup, I admitted he was wrong for allowing the government to sue us for having the flu. I think he was just fighting the demonic forces that rally behind taxation... those same forces that Judas felt.

Exactly the opposite effect of that for which the United States was founded. I just want people to pull their head out of the sand and quit putting ALL their faith in the government like it was the gospel... talk about religious nutcases!

Lighten up Francis.... You're taken this shit too far on a grow forum. Acting superior, and Insulting half the country isn't going to get you anywhere. This is me being polite.

Lol. Not trying to insult anyone, and I'm done with politics. just an opinion written in response to a post from someone else who has been religious/political their whole journal. That's their choice, it's their journal. But you gotta figure you're inviting responses when you get that far outside pot growing. I finally had enough and went off a little. I'm done. No big deal. No need to say "this is me being polite." It ain't like that at all. I was not at all singling anyone personally out, just a general comment. But at the end of the day you're right, it's a grower's forum. Not the place for politics. I hear that part for sure. Also at the end of the day I couldn't care less what any of you think about religion or politics. I'm here to learn how to grow good pot. Nothing more. And the name is Jon. Not Francis. If you're going to address me address me by my name, please. I showed you ZERO disrespect.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion... sometimes when you make those opinions public it helps one to sort out the good from the bad.

It's all good, no one's getting lynched :thumb:

It's when you can't voice that opinion, or feel like you can't voice it, or find a reasonable answer to your dilemma within the combined wisdom of society that you start visiting shopping malls with AK's.

We're all in this together :passitleft:

ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD BELIEVE OTHERWISE.
This would probably not make a very good defense in a court of law.

So if Jesus was wrong about taxation not being sin, the question remains... what is sin?

What is the difference between a sinful and a sinfree life?

Finally got unlazy and installed some fans

Those fans are just to cool the ballasts? Is that because of the amount of ambient heat they add to the room or because they are more efficient and last longer if they're kept cool? Or both? I never used lights with external ballasts and have no idea how hot they get.

Lmao! Guess we'll see in real time as kooky Sidney Powell is trying that very defense as we speak. :cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley:

Yea they just keep the ballast cool... otherwise they get hot to the touch and that speeds degradation of internal electronic circuitry. I need to install some ventilation so I can create a negative pressure inside the room and that will help control the heat. I have a fan and filter but I'm just using it as a scrubber for the odor at the moment.
