Ask Us Anything: Sharing Knowledge 420 Style

Hey everyone quick question I just went through hurricane Irma here in Florida and lost power for two days no light has been on the plants except a little bit of sunlight. My intentions were flipping to flower this weekend anyway but when I went in and open up my tent it was almost 90 in my house and my plants were dripping wet. Power came back on this morning I have fans going on the plants now. My lights will be coming on at 6 p.m. tonight should everything be okay or should I do anything?

Just make sure your plants are moderatly dry before the lights come back on as the might get burnt, should be fine aslong as there dry enough.

Glad your safe from the storm.

Cheers bro il keep a eye on temp more often and try lower it slightly cold it be getting to cold when lights are off as well ?

Make sure your H/M is around 40-50% to as if its to high you could end up with budrot, are you running a inline filter and intake fan?

Where on this widerful site can I find the basic how too guide for first time indoor growers

I assume the coke situation there is wide and hard but what about the Meth?? I just want my kid as far away from it as possible.

Stop the fan on top of the canopy for a day and see what your temps are like, sometimes fans can just keep blowing hot air round and make it worse, you will find when your plants are under 28c they grow alot better, heat can sometimes make them laxedaisy and take longer.

I've found a couple of these in my tent lately. My ventilation system is on order but not here yet so I must keep my tent door open so as not to overheat/humidify. Are they harmful to the plants or are they a beneficial predator? Im growing in a supersoil mix fully organic.

These must of come in the dirt your using????? Id freak out if I saw those cause theyre potato/rolliepollie bugs here and good to know there not harmful.. Whats the dirt you use???
Also I used FF ocean forest and like it but not for new sprouts or clones in fact Im using Happy Frog this time. Im still figuring this one out but the O.forest is hot. Also I noticed like if I plant/up pot these 4 then next week 3 more and the week after a couple others. I cant keep track when its time to feed or not so Happy Frog for that situation. Im getting ready to up pot 15 in the tent at one time and plan to use Ocean Forest im thinking cause its all at once and established plants.
Any of you veterans ever read where Im wrong please say so because its how we all learn.
Heres some 2nd tent grow bud pics. A lil weed porn!!! Great Day 420 and thanks again!!!

Yeah if you bring your temps down you will notice a big difference!

If you could get a cool tube or a cooled reflector there great, instantly take the heat away, iv just put 2 back in my tent, there not badly priced neither, have 1 fan on your cool tube/hood and the both ends of pipe out side your tent so it aways ever brings in cool air, then your inline filter dragging the stail/musty air out while your pumping fresh air in with your other fan, works amazing!

Cool tubes around $40-£30 and hoods go from $75-£35.

My tent is at a constant 24-27c with the same set up.

Il have to invest in a cool tube and try that I think that's the answer Iv been looking at them but in 2 minds but that's just made it up il order it cheers fingers crossed that works I turned fan off and going to check temp in a hour see how it is but with no top fan won't it get hot spots with no cool tube ?

Them cool tubes/hoods are amazing, soon as you plug the put your tube in and switch that fan on to blow the heat is when you watch your tent temp just drop, you should be okay, how far away is your light to flower canopy?

Yeh read so many reviews on them I was hoping to get away with out one for this couple of plants but il just get one my light is about 30-40cm away from top of plants and 40-45 away from rest soil temp at 2 knuckle down is 19.8 degrees and tent is 32 degrees with 46% humidity

I suppose you could just buy a co2 bag/box and it might give you a higher yield aslong as your H/M stays below 50%.

Rollie pollies are amazing composters. However they will eat live plants as well.
And can destroy seedlings trying to get started. Overall, I would say they are beneficial. Just monitor that they aren't crawling up any of your plants. As long as there is some mulch in your soil you shouldn't have any problems.

OK thanks. I've only found 2 so far.

No worries then. They do breed like crazy and have a long life span. Another crazy fact about them they are from the Crustacean family. Some of the isopods in the ocean get massive. I clearly know too much about these guys. Lol. Happy growing.

So just after a hour of no canopy fan the leafs are curling why is that is it the temp ? It's at 30/ 31 degrees now not much of a difference with fan off so cool tube is a must unless you can see another reason why it's curling ?-♂️-♂️
