Thank you for the reps buckshot! Honestly they smell exactly like every plant I have ever grown. Very citrusy then when cured they get this rotten fruit smell mixed with raw tea. The taste is always very soft and bland and every now and again I will get a nice hashy taste but over all it's not very dank, It tasted better oven dried lol it actually had a little gdp taste to it then. I don't know why, the bud I got the seed from smelled like a candied skunk! and tasted like scissor hash.
I am going to try adding some epsom salts until harvest and maybe the sulfur will help bring out some dankness. I may even put it in paper sacks instead of jars I don't know. Don't get me wrong the effects are awesome but no one will buy any extra I have because it smells like tea, guess I will have a bunch laying around when I can finally smoke again huh!

Thanks Donpaul good you dropped by man.
Your weed doesn't have the "dank" smell because you've managed a high brix grow.
Your smoke will be smoother. The taste very subtle and complex, especially on the exhale. The effect will be better, smoother, bigger. It will smell and stink just fine once it's cured.
Here's an analogy:
You've probably had tasteless lettuce before. It crunches and carries dressing....but no taste of its own. That's low brix produce.
Then there's lettuce that tastes super strong and overly "lettucy." That's organic lettuce with too much sulfur in the soil. Stong taste....too strong to be a nice vegatable.
Perhaps somewhere you ran across lettuce that tastes just amazing!. The best salad ever. that's high brix lettuce.
Same deal with weed.

I have the exact same thing happen with my plants... especially the indoor grow I have right now. They are very hashy in taste and subtle in flavor. The longer you cure them (slowly) the better and more pronounced the flavor becomes.
I only grow with minimal organic additives to my soil and almost no nutrient additions during the grow. I use an organic soil mix with fish emulsion and guano additions a few week-2 months before planting and stat playing with my watering schedule (no plants) before planting. I then give the girls 2 feedings in veg and 2 in flower. I heavy N in veg and 1 compost tea feeding and the same in flower but I use extra guano in flower and less N. They finish nice and crusty with resin and are ready to smoke and smoother 2 weeks than most other gardens that use nutrients, even organic nutrients. I am a big fan of letting the cannabis plant express itself with simple organic soil and a "less is more" thought process.

Hey Docbud, Nice to have you post in my journal. I'm not so sure it's turned out high brix maybe medium brix lol
All jokes aside I only had a few fan leaves get shiny but I didn't do any foliar sprays either.
This is still my best grow to date and I really appreciate you highlighting this method of growing for me it has made growing fun again and has taken all the frustration that is accompanied with synthetic nutes in small containers out of the picture.
I bet all your salads taste great after smoking some of your nug's!!

Thank's for the encouraging words Curso. I need to really work on my curing method I have trouble judging when to jar them. I know once a certain amount of moisture is removed the cure stops I'm going to work on getting some mini hygrometers to help judge when to burp and when not to burp.
Do you care to share your curing methods here or in your journal would be fine to. That goes for everyone. I love to hear any thoughts on the matter everyone that wants to share that is, come on now don't be a stingy mingy.

Dang Double post!
Despite what folks may say you can't change the flavor "too much" by using additives. What changes the flavor for me in any strain are two things
How long you let it go... the longer it can go the more complex the flavors become
How it is cured... each method will change the flavor.
These two things plus all the additives and tricks in the world will not make a really bad tasting strain taste good. I grew a plant that was so foul (cat piss) that I actually threw away the jar it was in because the seal retained the stench.

Gittergreen, being an indoor outdoor kinda guy I really love the way you utilize the mother and get production more than once with reveg..most of my clones of MMMF I took while she was flowering so cloning and revegging was necessary. I lost a bunch of my first ones when she was vegging while moving things around so I had to clone again. I grow in the desert, so my plants outdoors were on a drip all summer...great looking indoor set-up...reps

Thank's for the reps Hozona! I need to clarify something though, my reveg was not a mother plant she was a I put her out to early and started blooming plant. she did not finish blooming and started to reveg naturally so I just helped her along and cut off all her bud sites.
actually there were three of them one hermied and I culled it and the other never amounted to much but it was a cool process to see.

I have revegged outdoors twice...got a second bunch of buds the first time, the second time I tried it,(different plant) it hermied, which was OK because I crossed it with a lanky sativa of an unknown strain and MMMF was born.
MMMF has a great taste and the relief it sends out you feel in all your aching joints and muscles.

I have heard that and I think its true. my first grow was from bagseed and I had a couple herm on me, but the smoke was so good and the plant was very pretty(PURPLE). so I kept the seed and grew about 15 small plants outdoors and put them in the ground and ended up getting all females and only one of them hermied on me. I also learned that pollen can travel a 1/4 mile away easy because that one little hermie got my purps momma I put outside to bloom and honestly I cant wait to see what it created.
