Morty's Photographic Journal Of Dubiousness & Rickity Science - Blue Bud

After 24 hours the Gods Blue Warp has not cracked. It was outside the tent in cooler temperatures. I may or may not have read that cooler temperatures induce a higher number of females. I moved it inside to the tent for some warmth now. Its spring time lovelies, wakey wakey, we need to get dressed for the special bowl. I mean ball...

After turning off half the lights the temps are a reasonable 74 and the rh 49. Blue Bud are chillin'

When I was young I read somewhere that photographs steal a part of your soul. I refused to be in any photographs for the longest time, only giving in when it was fear or threat induced. Fun urbanachiever fact. Now I know that this is ridiculous. They only borrow a part of your soul. Photographs are not eternal.

Nice bud porn.

Hey Urb - I hate to interject like this, when I know nothing about the circumstances, but as someone who has gone through K deficiency twice, I have to say be careful. I don't know the first thing about growing in soil, but those leaves look like the early stages of my LA Confidential in grows 1 and 2. There are a ton of pics in my old journals if you want to take a look and see how it progressed. I found out through experience my LA Confidential needed a larger K boost at week 5 than I gave it.

Thank you DW, I waited and then confirmed it, but wouldn't have known otherwise.

There we have it. I put 3 Gods Blue Warp seeds in 4" pots. Fed the Blue Bud and GBW some water mixed with fresh young coconut water. 2 of the pots had received a drink of the last ACT a week or so ago as well as a touch of bio-gold mycos, the third one was needed unexpectedly and only received fresh CC soil (that has been composting tomato roots and leaves since Aug) and the coconut water.

Our little experiment is taking shape.

Next step will be to prepare the 1 gallon geopots for the eventual transplant. Still a ways off. Straight water for them from here on until the 1gallon.

No but I should have. Transplanting is a challenge. However I found a pretty sweet method of doing it easier. Sitting the pot on a can of paint then peeling the pot down over the can.

Geopots has the velcro versions. I have a few I am going to try on my upcoming perpetual.

Love it! Anyone ever head of, or tried the octopot??? It's a fabric pot that sits in a res of oxygenated water I think. Pigeons 420 has one. I'm debating grabbing an oil pan to make my own out of.

I have been holding off for an update waiting for a gods blue warp to make an appearance.we have one with the first set of real leaves and a second just shedding its shell. The one shedding its shell was coming out of the soil a bit backwards, and I gently re-buried it right side up and covered it early this morning, and gave it a bit of water. It might survive it might not. The cotyledons are up and its shed the shell, but the cotyledons are mostly closed, with a general pale colour. I suspect its used up a good portion of its energy stores. However.

We have the power of positive thinking on our side. So we have two Gods Blue Warp and these three Blue Bud. Jordan of the Island Genetics, who is active on IG by the way, has some interesting stuff. Gods Green Crack looks incredible. I thought Suntana was a big fan of Gods Green Crack.

Slow start as suspected. Might get interesting when I step up the vegetative light. My current flowering plants, were only using 98W during vegetation.

Here is a shot of an early achiever with the geopot rolled down over the paint can.

{Runs into Room...} Sub'd! Looking forward to your photos and your organic grow quality is stop shelf in past journal. Learning is almost as much fun as growing. I'm impressed with your multi-tasking 2 journals and grows. I would need to retire first before tackling that...Maybe I just came up with my new retirement hobby.

The blue bud are happily getting bigger. Strange enough, the plant in the pot with the 'Big' label, is the biggest. The pink pot with "Strong" label is also looking good.

Here is the first Gods Blue Warp seedling. Looking good.

Now this is a crazy little thing. I soaked the seed for 24hours. It cracked but not much of a tail and I tossed it in the soil. After a day or two there was nothing. So I gently uncovered it and the seed case was still on. I took it off and put the root down in the soil. After another 12hours the tail was exposed and growing the wrong way. It still had the membrane keeping the cotyledons closed. Dammit. I gently took it off and buried it again and watered it. This is where we are now. I dont know if it will survive or if its will survive but be stunted now. Photo looks like its dying. I am happy with one GWB at this point. If its a make it will be used to cross with the Blue Bud. If its a female, cloned, and probably germinated with a potential Blue Bud male. Out of 5 seeds I am pretty much guaranteed a male or two.

Dont want empty space though. Drop a Northern Lights x Blueberry Auto?

Definitely use the space... but if you have photo seeds, they won’t be too far behind.

I have a few autos I want to try, it’s just hard to convince myself to give light and space over when I feel like my photos are “better”. Maybe I just need to grow out an auto and give it a fair shot.

Urb, all this talk of grey cards inspired me to dust off the ol' Photoshop and install it after slumming it with paint.NET since I joined up here. I broke out the grey card and got the basic gist of how it all comes together in Photoshop. Should make for some better photos once the plants get too big to move much from under the blurple.

Yeah I was spoiled for the last few months. I had been using the t5s to shoot pictures of the plants. Nice white light. Then I needed the light for veg plants. So all I had was purple. Plus the addition of the dwarf star. So the light for photos went to shit.

I had to either get some form of light or get off my ass and properly white balance. I actually did it in camera as well as in my Apple photo software. I am slumming it with my current edit/download set up. The decent programs I have do not recognize the new RAW format of my new camera. So my camera was old, my software was old, and my computer is old.

But at least it did the trick for now. I know I can improve my set up so I will be working on that in 2018.

Ah crap, third row. Hey the views not so bad from here actually. Glad I caught this one fairly close to the beginning, interesting strain choices . subbed up for the ride!

Welcome to the new journal 3G, hoping for big things from this round, so far so good. The increased wattage in the grow should do these strains some justice.

Much like last round, we have 4 healthy babies and 1 runt. That could be my next journal title lol. So far each plant is a reflection of the intent we have imparted to it. The "big" plant is biggest, the "strong" plant has the strongest leaves and growth, and so on. No science to back that up just confirmation bias.

That seedling with the rough start, but has somehow survived to this point, is in the pot labeled "healthy" lol

Wow. Another perfectly full tent with the 4 and a half plant set up .
