everything is running smooth and the girls look great! I can really see a difference with the 2 plants in the middle of the screen, they get the delay from the rails twice and are twice the size of the rest of them,theres not really anything I can do about it other than get 4 more lights and make them stationary.im working on it

this is why I defoliate.see the nugs all the way down the branch are the same size and density,you wont get that if the plant is full of leaves blocking the light.I know most peole say they need they're leaves for photosinthesis and storage of nutes and water but I honestly think that doesnt really apply in an indoor situation where the plant is in a perfect enviroment getting absolutely everything it needs and some.I leave enough foliage for the plant to transpire but other than that they gots to go

go back a few pages and check out my vid it shows a pk I just got done defoliating.some people go really extreme i like to leave the odd leaf as long as they arent blocking anything,they do need some leaves for photosinthesis bro

I'm with you Jon. In the 90's we referred to the large fan leaves as "sucker leaves". I'm not sure if anyone every explained the meaning, but I always took it to mean, "you're a sucker if you leave them on the plant", or "they will 'suck' bud weight from the plant". I've already cut off several, and my babies have only been in their buckets for 2 weeks. I always removed mine more to increase air circulation around the plant than to increase light penetration. For me, that was just a happy side benefit.

Room looks awesome Jon. When I was building my new room, I went back and forth about whether to run HPS or LED. I went with HPS because, first, it's cheaper initially, and second, it's what I know. My basement has room for a second flowering room, so the plan is to setup that one with LEDs. I'll be able to do side by side comparisons this way too.

Anyway, loving how your room looks. Keep up the good work!

thanks bro im glad you like it I think what they mean by sucker leaves is they are unnesesary and therefore suck energy from the plant that could be used for bigger nugs

Hey Jon, I really enjoyed the update bro. You've transformed the room from a harmless looking scrog to an all out jungle with just the flip of a switch. Aren't these plants just incredible? Look at that resin production under the LED's... I'm excited for the future, its a great time to be alive!!
