My Room - Perpetual LED Soil

Buckshot,
You really have the green fingers, I wanted to read all your thread before commenting, but alas I have to go out now(got to page 29) and just wanted say to you have an inspirational grow, also it was so refreshing to read an led grow with no one hating on it, but with results like these even a fool would have trouble hating. So well done 420 peeps, and Mr Buckshot:adore:

Thanks Karma V ... I am flattered you would take the time to go through my journal, thank you! :cheesygrinsmiley: I am glad no one has been dogging me about LED's (well there is this guy Fish Cake … :cheesygrinsmiley: ) I have been told flat out by vendors that LED's won't bud cannabis :cheesygrinsmiley: I was also told that dry ice extraction would not make hash :cheesygrinsmiley: WTF? People are funny… or they have an agenda. I don't mind the funny ones, it's the ones with an agenda that piss me off.

I only use the LED's for the camera lighting anyway, just cause they make the plants bloom is a side benefit :cheesygrinsmiley:

I enjoy!!!!

Cool! I always hope folks enjoy but it's good to hear when they do, Thanks

That Fish blokes right leds can't bud plants! :battingeyelashes: but your right they do make lovely studio lights. As you know there is so much b/s out there it's a miracle anyone makes it to the other side. I have done so much research bought a bit of junk along the way too, and still fell like I'm only scratching the surface.
my current grow was meant to be a bit of an experiment see what happens when you add more reds to the spectrum in flower but now thats not going to happen because I got greedy with plant numbers. the spectrum I have at the mo sorts out the problem of them not stretching in veg but loses a bit in flower.
Also I've found you have to re-learn to grow, never really thought of cal/mag problems before i grow with leds. but now I'm on it like a hawk, have found you can problems at stupidly early stage if your not careful.
Finally made it to the end, a bit epic but worth every second

Interesting you should mention cal/mag issues, agreed (use the right product for your water and ph plays a huge role). On the other hand you have to reduce everything else. I am trying a number of panels. My favorite in bud is the white panel... just dozed off while writing (old and tired) I better finish this in the am...

dreaming of another 400 watt "heater"

CalMag issues ... grrrrr .... grumble grumble ....

*wanders off muttering very very crossly*

Buckshot, when you say the whit panel do you mean it uses white light? that's something I'm looking in to at the mo is an led that is predominately white with some far reds etc... need to do a bit more research before I bother the folks in china thou.
Fluffy Haze, think I'm going to have a read of your grow, trying to workout Why your so sensitive to cal/mag, there's a new product out in the UK magne cal+ I've added it to my war chest but thankfully have not had to use yet so can't comment on it on way or the other at the mo.

Made some progress... many clones planted, all viable seedlings planted and got the baby room clean(er). I have to wait for the ladies to come on to expand the room but I finally feel like I am getting ahead of it, well even at least!

I may get some pics later

That's great Buckshot. It's been a job I know. WooHooo! :bravo:

Thanks Karma. It might be because I filter the tap water used, our water here is bloody horrible whith chlorine etc. Tastes revolting.

Please don't be asking me to measure things lol (one reason is I am now wondering whether any form of hydro is for me, I might have to sell on my pH up and down for hydro... hmm ...).

My dear Fluffy,
I would never ask you to measure anything that could not be done in a measuring jug, 67 pages my fluffy is popular, not got it in me at the mo, promise will have a look though. To be honest from what I've seen you don't really need to filter water in U.K the quality out the tap seems to be better than what they get in the states.
I need to learn to read the whole sentence, have you tried 50/50 mix tap filtered water? I will read your grow and find out !

Oh ... it is? :bigblush: I just babble most of the time, seriously...

I only filter because of the taste. I never had to when I lived elsewhere in the UK, but in this area we do. And whilst I love the smell of chlorine in the morning (really :) I am an ex serious swimmer and I find the smell of chlorine soothing ) I don't care for the taste in my green mint tea. It irks me in case you can't tell lol.

I think I just need to see how other plants perform under "my" conditions to be honest, it could well just be Ruby's strain. I won't know until I've grown the next photo Ruby II (who is a G13 Pineapple Express) whether it is something I need to supplement heavily for or not. I'm managing to grow half decent plants (I think! :yikes:) so I'm excited to see how it unfolds. It would have been another matter if they were dying though, of course

And never feel pressured over in my nest ... just pick up on the page you land on and say hello! That will do nicely

Buckshot - my apologies for the Fluffy Diversion! Cake? :bigblush:

Yes and no :cheesygrinsmiley: Both the white and blue panels have some white LEDs. The white panel is a Budmaster, It seems to kick ass for two reasons ... the spectrum used and the lenses are much tighter and really blast but the footprint is smaller (that is why it is tilted) You can see the Sgirl under it is doing exceptional (wait for bud porn on that one!!!) I found the first panel I put in with white light made the girls respond so from here on out they will get some. No need to go to China ... call LED Grow Lights UK from Budmaster 4G and Budzilla they are a 420magazine vendor, have Budmasters and will work with you to get you any spectrum you want ... If you want to try the spectrum I am using I can look it up or you can most likely ask them.

That's great Buckshot. It's been a job I know. WooHooo! :bravo:

Yup... but as X pointed out you must keep moving or the domino effect will start! :cheesygrinsmiley:

I used tap water for a long time ... and now wish I had it back! :cheesygrinsmiley:
