SleepDog’s Soil Sour OG Grow Journal-2019

Hello Everyone, I am very happy to share with all of you, and hope I can receive some helpful info from all of you amazing growers!!!
I have a Sour OG beauty from seed now in week 4 of flower. She went in a 7 gal Geopot with 3 weeks left in veg. My soilless Mix consists of: ProMix, extra Perlite, half a small bag of earthworm castings. I am using just the base Advanced Nutrients, Micro, Grow, Bloom at about 3/4 suggested strength.
My flower room is 5x5 but only 4.5’ tall so I have been using some pretty aggressive LST on her with a fair bit of superhighways or whatever the term is. I didn’t use a screen just a bunch of tie downs. Here are a few pics of her journey up until this point.

@Old Salt, and @Blew Hiller thank you for checking me out and showing some interest in the newbie on the site.
I’m not sure if I can write company names but I am using a 2000 w led with Cob, and 1200w led with cob. The 2000 pulls over 400w at wall and the 1200 pulls around 275w.
I just had to move up about 2 inches because it was burning tips, so I am about 15-18 inches away and only have another 10 inches maybe. I hope that is enough room, she did have a very nice stretch already. I’m just hoping that they start getting fatter now.

I figured I would grab a few tools for the trade. I have been playing with my luck so far, just leaving tap water to sit for a few days before using straight up, or, with Nutes bringing it down to proper ph of around 6.5 or so. All of this going off an old ph drip solution kit that was kicking around. Next purchase will be a reverse osmosis system.

I was wondering if anyone reading this can tell me wether or not my nutrients are no longer good. I was at the hydro shop yesterday and when I mentioned that my Nutes have been sitting around for a couple of years before using again, I was told they are no longer any good. To be safe this far into bloom I bought some new stuff and a couple extras to throw at it. The pics are the original stuff first then the new stuff and finally the extra goodies for my ladies.

If there's no expiry date, I suspect that the guy at the hydro shop was looking to dip into your wallet.

I would be on the safe side and call or email them , they answer the phone quickly and if the lines are real busy the lady that answered will get your # then they call you back !

I’m thinking about URB fertilizer on the next grow, have you heard of anyone using it here ?

How did they get into green planet containers? That was there original label for Advanced Nutrients it’s been over three years. I do the connoisseur a&b, last grow I only fed 25% nutrients of the suggested dose yielded 11-1/2 ozs. This grow doing 50% was so used to nutrients burn at 100% have to try something!

Sorry for the confusion @West Hippie, the two with sticky notes are just the green planet equivalent to bud candy and big bud. The AN are probably older than 3.5 yrs old it was with a bunch of stuff a buddy had laying around. This is my first time growing indoors and using Nutes so I will be learning along the way.

I see them in 420 only using 3 part nutrients and I’m using 9 , and Pennywise recommended using 25% of my nutrients test worked made it all the way through flower and no nutrients taste. Found one I want to try one part ? If you don’t mind I’ll pull up a chair to watch also.

The leaves on this Sour OG have been getting a little lighter with some purple starting in veins. So I am thinking I am not giving her enough, or maybe it has lost some of its strength. Either way it has to be doing something or I don’t believe it would have come this far looking as good as she does.

They are looking great , nutrients are definitely working! I’ve got white Widow in hydro and in soil they look different but I’m learning soil . Giving the same nutrients to both.
When doing pics there is a line that says thumb nail /full pic select full pic that way I can zoom all the way in .

Ahoy There SleepDog from a fellow 420 new member. Hope you don't mind, I'm gonna join your grow audience and watch your thread. I am new to the forum and discovering how to interact without looking too silly. It seems like ideas and inputs are mostly welcome here at 420 so don't be surprised if this old hippie chimes in now and again. I have been a gardener for many years and still enjoy learning and listening to the newest of gardeners.
