So this is a little concerning the deficiency is spreading on the purple haze. I didn't get to check on the girls yesterday but I shuffled downstairs to check on them and found more damaged leaves. On a previously unaffected cola. For now it's only on the sugar leaves but I don't want it traveling in to the buds.

Do I give them another feeding of CalMag when I top off the reservoir? I just top watered them on Friday with CalMag, along with top feeding them.

I am also concerned about the lights being to close as they are only about 4" away from this girl. Tomorrow if I'm feeling better I'll rig something to get the last 2"of head height available.

Knock on wood there's nothing wrong with the other 2 girls.

Ok I had I'm coming out of the covid funk a little today but still off work so I pulled the Wedding Crasher out to look the plants over for anything unusual. I didn't find anything but a bunch of little fan leaves that were brown and crispy, and no nanners!

For my future self please please please plan better for the stretch 😂 these girls are packed in so tight I was unable to put the puzzle pieces back together exactly the way it came out.

Here's how it looks with the middle plant out.

So along with the general tent pics in the post above ⬆️, I wanted to do an indepth update on each strain at what I'm considering about the halfway point of flower assuming every girl goes about 65 days. It took about 12-13 days for flower puffs to form on the girls, so even though it's day 47 of 12/12, it's only roughly day 35 of flower.

Blueberry - 27" tall, probably going to finish first, the white pistils are starting to turn orange on the very tops of the buds but still stacking under those tops, absolutely covered in trichomes. Buds are slowly purpling and still slightly holding onto the pink tips

Wedding Crasher - 25" tall, this plant is a stunner. Few orange pistils anywhere at this point on the plant and the bud formations are hard like rocks. The purple is really eye catching and should make for great looking nugs.

Purple Haze - 33" tall, this thing is more than I bargained for. It's too tall, too wide and also 1 week younger than the other two. It's had its issues with nutrient deficiency but it's got awesome spear colas on it. I may take more of the under growth off for fear of mold issues but I have a fan under the canopy circulating the air.

Have you thought about tipping the buds? Makes them fill out more and some growers think it adds weight. I do it more for height issues.
Ya I think the purple haze is going to get all four colas tipped. Im definitely in the height issue on this plant, lol should have known it wouldn't be a short haze.

Thanks Bill, wouldn't be as good as it is without the 420Mag family and all their info.
Hey G, I've found my way here from the swick thread. You have beautiful plants. Are you journaling the bonsais?
Hey welcome! I was hoping you'd swing by. Thanks again for the kind words and the help and information over in the Swick thread. I'm still battling the deficiency however this last reservoir top off with CalMag in it worked to slow it down. The bonsai mother journals is here Mini Mother House.

So I got the loupe out and got some nifty trichome shots. Pretty decent with just my phone and a $5 zon loupe. I deleted probably 100 blurry ones because I'm shakin like a leaf apparently 😂.

I tried to do the pics in order zoomed 1x (phone), 8x (phone), 30x (loupe) + 8x (phone)

They really are like diamonds. Each plant is unique too. The Blueberry's are like perfect glass balls on straight rods, Wedding Crasher is squiggly rods with purple, and the Purple Haze is like short stubby rods with giant balls. Pretty neat to see.
:drool:Well done for holding the phone still enough to get the trichome shots! Zoomed in like that is usually blurry when I try.
Haha should have seen all the deleted photos. The purple haze was the hardest to get close too because the sugar leaves were poking my had, so I'm shaking, the plants shaking all while trying to push the photo button haha it was comical.

I do have a question about trichomes though. So the purple haze has had a deficiency and when I look at the photos I took last night a majority of the trichomes are cloudy with a few amber, but the plant is full of white pistils and they aren't crinkling in yet. Could a deficiency or stress cause a premature ripening of the trichomes?

When you're looking at the trichs, look at the ones on the caylxes, not the sugar leaves/tips.

These two photos are calyx shots, although the bottom came out a little blurry. The strain info says 55-75 days or something like that so it could be getting close to the 55 day mark.

So I got my replacement sensor from @VIVOSUN and plugged it in. I was a little surprised by the temps but it does explain some things. The temps in my basement generally stay in the 65° range, however it hasn't been super cold which means the heat hasn't been running a ton because my upstairs is pretty well insulated. This allows the basement to drift below 65 and as cold as 63 so days which is not great for the plants. Last night inside the tent hit 61.6 🤮 but it will be remedied tonight, hopefully... The plants look good and everyone got a reservoir fill with water and CalMag.

Low temps especially in the pot can slow growth.
What I did in the old house was adjust some and close som air vents.
Directing warm air to the rooms I needed and closing or dampening the air flow in others.
This let me keep my grow rooms warm without wasting heat elsewhere.
Just 2 cents garden is wonderful Amigo. :bravo:
Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Take care.

Ok so I have a couple concerns with the purple haze and the leaves and I'm not sure what to do. Day 40 of flower, 52 of 12/12.

I found this weird white spot on the leaf, I was thinking the lights were causing the issue but it just looked weird to me. I'm not sure if it's mold or what.
PXL_20240227_020029033.jpg

I moved the light up the last 2" and hopefully that will give some relief they are about 8" away from the top of the colas. I also moved the fan back over to that side to help keep air movement on it. I'm thinking this one may finish first based on the trichomes on the colas. Do I pluck/cut dead leaves and or anything suspicious?
