Father & Sons Perpetual Hydro Grow In Aqua Farms

Can I just ask my friend. do you have a bunch of mini minions up top sorting your canopy out? Lol. How do you maintain in such an area?

Haha, I use a step ladder I can just about get my head and a arm in the top to tend to it.

Veg room update, let the LST fun begin! the one on the right is smaller just because it took longer to crack.

dr how old are these last plants?? and are u growing 18/6?? or at that size are u 12/12hrs, also as u help me with my soil grow can i ask why u switched to hydro?? and which gives u better results??

convicted, they are about 18 days above ground. I switched to hydro as the rate of growth can be unbelievable! this is because their is so much more oxygen available to the roots so the uptake of nutrients is far more efficient! and yeah they are on 18/6
This is a example of growth rate of a previous grow and as soon as the roots on my currant grow set in and reach the aerated water in the bottom of the aqua farms they will go mad!
One week of growth!!

Light Addict, Yeah I really got to keep on top of my training and not be lazy, adjustments every day as I can't have them getting as tall as last time.

Oh and how I would love to see your skills applied with a hydro set up! I'm currently trimming my crop with my girlfriend at the moment so very busy! just taking a short break but tomorrow I will put some before and after the chop, one of the 2 plants was prob about 70% of the mass! it was hard to tell when they were both in there but I took a pic when it was that plant alone.

Update tomorrow!

OK so the white widow grow is officially over, it took best part of 10 hours to trim! yield doesn't look to bad, it's hard to see how much is there because on the picture of our drying net there is 4 boxes on top of the net full of little buds that still need trimming but haven't got round to it yet.

We didn't realize just how much bigger the plant was on the right, I took the one out on the left first so I could get a picture of the big one on her own. it's a shame you can't see the bigger buds above the door :( we are going to take better steps to keep the height down on our next lot.

Some of the buds had a purple hue to them, which I really like, I will post weight and smoke report when it's dry.

Thanks everyone for your interest and compliments, Here are some pictures of the next chapter (white russians) I have been sticking to my plan of heavy LST'n and topping each plant once, today I topped the bigger plant on the left and will do the other when it's bigger.

Hello folks it's been ages since I've done a update! here are a few pictures of some of the dry white widow from the last crop (not the best taken pictures) We got around 15 ounces still didn't beat our first attempt at hydro but they did get very tall and drown them self's out a bit, this time round we will be taken more control over the height, stripping more from the bottom and doing some defol.

Here are the White Russians just 3 days in to 12/12 they look nice and healthy! we have just flushed them, switched to flowering nutrients, stripped some of the lower growth off and tied some of the branches out to the sides to let lots of light into the plant. We are happy with the height so far and they are showing nice indica dominance so fingers crossed they won't go mad when they stretch like previous grows also we are using MH instead of HPS in the first 2-3 weeks of flowering as we believe this will help keep the height down.

Thanks Light Addict, yeah we are really happy with the height this time and combined with stripping some of the lower plant and some defol I think all might go well! how much defol do you think is enough? I know that's a broad question as it depends on plant size ect... but judging on my pictures would you say to take any more off? I can take some better birds eye pictures later before the lights come on if that's any good?
