I actually make three holes now, one below the cap for when they're smaller, one up higher for when they drink a ton, and one higher up for the air hose/airstone.

These are the four test subjects, all Northern Lights. Just startet the flush, so, chop chop, coming up. My guess is one week from now, they will be all good too go!
Still no algae too speak of in the see through res. Still feeding every other day

I must say im impressed with these 2L-DWC bottles. I will deff do a future grow with a batch full sometime

those came out nice!
a few of mine branched out as well..
i figure im going to cut them early in flowering before bud sights grow on them so they dont branch out.. i dont seem to get fat dense nugs when they branch out.. plus if u prune them off it will shoot the energy towards the top to create a fatter overall major cola!

try it out for urself and lemme know how it goes!

other than that you got some nice buddha there!

Dayum lookin sexy! Had to put my 1 liter DWC Hempy test on hold for a minute screwed it up some. But I got it now, so just gotta wait for some clones! I have high hopes for it though. I am doing to just drill one large hole into the cap of my fiji bottle cap and just let the roots go through it and into the res right from transplant. My roots are usually a good 8-10 inches long so i figure if i can get them into the res right away that will only help!....though i must say I dunno if i want to hand feed 72 1 liters as opposed to 32 2 liters LOL

Yeah I feel you Spirit. But its kind of like, just too lay out a baseline. I've done nothing too these exept light defoil day 21'ish N 45.. And regularly feedings. Now I know what I get if i do nothing too them, and in that way I can do my comparison in future grows, where I might lollypop them and so on. But man, its easy, perfect for small grows

Hehe YA, I feel you, hand watering is a b¤tch. Use a hose connected too a pump in a reservoir, and a timer too control on\off.
Works like a charm, but do still get irritating, but hey you get too kiss your ladies every other day

Those did turn out nice. You put them straight from rooting 2 weeks into flower, right? I ended up vegging mine for 5 weeks from seed (not really the plan, but that's how it ended up). Amazing that there's no mossy green in the res.. did you keep the res cool? treat with anything special? Were they in a tall tub?

Yo Surfbuddy, these ended up vegging 4 about 2 weeks after rooting proces, so 4 weeks old cuttings str8 2 12\12.
Yea Im amazed by the res still is clear and without any algea. But U know there was a lot of bottles in there too cast some shadow. But anyways, they have received theyre share of light?
I've done nothing too keep the res cold, besides feeding water @ 15c-18c
No tall tub, just in a rack with a catchtray beneath to collect runoff.. Really done nothing too these besides feeding and light defoil @ day 21'ish and 45. Ill say, easy as pie. Its just feeding every other day that makes its a lil time consuming. But easy too automat, if its a closet grow and not too big..
And from the looks of it, they will produce a lil mo than the 2L hempy's, with less medium.

WEIGHT AND FINAL REPORT

These four test subjects completely blew all of the 2L hempies away! Been treatet same way, same nutes, but outgrew them in every way!
And thats 4 DWC-H bottles against 60 2L-Hempy

I came very close on hitting the 20 gr. per plant on one of these
I'm surprised that the bottle that wasn't paintet did just as well. No algea in the bottle, but I would paint anyway. But it has been fun too follow rootgrowth

N.L. 1 - 13 grams

N.L. 2 - 14 grams

N.L. 3 - 14,5 grams

N.L. 4 - 19.5 grams

I consider this journal complete, but open for questions\ discussions.
