Good Weednesday yall...dam heat wave..3 digets...no rain in next 10 days...day 64..searched the HP for 30 min...found 1 amber...i can wait..but i really need that spot...my bagseed i topped has a hollow stem...

in my next inside grow..so far...1 bagseed...2 pineapple express...bagseed taken out of fog...PEs taken out of DWC..all three born 6/27...got bagseed beans in water..going to start a grafting program and a new journal...about time right :cheesygrinsmiley:
 
hello my friend. plants look great, whats going on with the pics,

good luck with the grafting, it certainly a nice idea if you can pull it off, tempted to give it another try myself, would be nice to have a plant thats growing 2 or 3 strains of bud, keeping everything surgical clean is the best method, then im thinking maybe that rolling paper would be a good bandage to use, i think that would work well for grafting as you could get it very tight to the stems.

ive treid grafit in the past but didnt have the right tape to use to bind the cutting into the v space in the branch on the plant, i was using gardners tape or what ever its called,

but ive got some rizla that are like plastic, made from grass or something like that, so i was thinking i you cut the cutting as your suppose to so the end is a v, then at a node on one of the branches you open the branch up so the v on the cutting fits in nicely, then i was thinking using rizla would creat a more airtight seal as you could wet the rizzla and stick it on properly, that way you know their is no air gaps that could cause problems, the rizzla when wet would be easy to mold around the stem and node, then you could use 2 or 3 rizzla and that should hold it pretty much air tight while the cutting takes, you could always wrap tape around it after you use rizzla, but thats the method i would try next time as i found the tape i used just didnt create a good enough seal around the cutting, it allowed it to move about so this then stoppd the plant getting moisture to it and it just died, when i put my next veg plants into the hps room ill give it another try,

i know on an outdoor plant it would work out well, you could have a small outdoor plant with say 2 extra strains grafted to it then let it veg through the growing season, then when its going into flower it would be huge and you would end up with 3 strains from the one plant, grafting is hard to get right but get it right and it will pay off, i was going to try it as i could free up space by having 2 strains growing from one plant

it will be interesting to see how miwa gets on with the graft, ill give it a try once ive harvested the next plants ive got in flower, then the hps room can be put to a veg cycle and ill give grafting a try then and see if i can pull it off, i think this rizzla i got will work out well as when wet it will creat a good seal and hopefully the graft will take,
 
I'm going to try a technic where plants are alive while the cut heals...if that works..next i will try a cutting...which is harder...i went through some hash trim and found some seeds...put them in water tuesday..they popped..i will put them in jiffy pellets tonight...they will be used on this grafting experiment..

depending how fast these sprouts grow..maybe ..1st graft in 2 weeks...stay focus..

wht up Bee...Goodweed to ya...my day has been great...those 2 ..a PE and Bagseed i took out of DWC is growing like crazy...day 18 in those pots...they only get water...no nutes..the bagseed plant got dark green...thick ...9 fingered fans...i just topped it ...the last group of pics..and now the two side shoots are an inch long...also...the PE...shes a reveg..doing good..both saving me money...by not eating..:)..well hell..i went on line..they said i was good for 3 months...well...the only thing i can say to that is...the proof is in the pudding...they don't eat til i see a nute def..it won't be hard to figgue out what it is...i put some seeds in the water tues..they got tails..seeds from my last outside grow..all plants didn't get seeded..but all my strains got seeded..i had 5 clones ..about 5 nodes high..all got seeded...its just ..the seeds got mixed together...so i got 4 guesses...gonna use these ...when they get bout 4 nodes tall..gonna do some grafting..beat that plant limit..:)..tomorrow is feed day..i hope that stupid hashplant got some amber..day 66 in flower...i need that light...oh yeah...released some lacewing eggs today see how they perform...next i'll try preditor mites...nope :)
