400W Mars II LED Original Amnesia & Critical Kush

Hey Nug,

I am still around too! Just wasn't up this morning as early way out here on the west coast. I would say it sounds like you gave her a bit too much N. Really dark green with a bit of the claw? Just don't give her anymore veg nutes.

Are you still using the Advance nutes? Does it still have you putting in a "grow" or strong N fert? Sounds like it is time for all P now!

You still have an audience!
Bob ;)

Hoping to drop another update this afternoon.

Before that though, i'm planning on going away for 3 days later this week and instead of letting my plants stay dry for a day or so I decided I want to set up a SWICK watering system.

I have perlite and the container systems in order to get myself going but the main thing with a SWICK is my questions about watering.

What kind of watering method would I adopt for the rest of my grow if I am using a SWICK with perlite?

Do I fill the SWICK tubs up to an inch or so below the perlite surface and just leave my plants? Or can I top feed my advanced nutrients mixtures as well? I normally water to anywhere from 0-20% runoff.

First off, when are you leaving? I like a couple days ahead to acclimate the pots and get the water levels where I want them consistently, but in a pinch you can fill to the bottom of the pots right before you leave town and they'll certainly survive a three day vacation from their loving cultivator's shadow.

Hello nugwrasslin. Sorry, I tend to walk through the door and go right to work. Where are my manners? :laughtwo: I hope that helps you. I'm here, if you have any other questions. Dr. Bob recently left his on a SWICK for a week.

To be honest, if that was the only way that watering technique had been picked up by the community it was worth introducing. I run two no-till pots with reservoirs all cycle and I love them. Sooner or later all of my LOS will be on SWICKS. Still two to go.

Before I leave, beautiful frosty girls you have here. They must make you proud. :cheesygrinsmiley: You and Vlad had me in stitches earlier in the page. I'll have to be sure to swing through here more often. Many of my friends hang out here. Hello guys. :ciao:

Well, back to work. Still trying to get that post up.

nugwrasslin, I forgot to address how you water from now on. You can remove them from the SWICK reservoir if you drench to run-off. That way you don't pollute the reservoir. Or you can do what I do and make your drenches as nutrient or amendment rich as you'd typically do and decrease the volume of water, an approach that works much better with amapendments vs nutes. In fact, I don't think I'd try this with nutes at all. You want that total dispersal throughout the roots. I'd suggest you have an area you set them for watering, then pop them back on the reservoir.

LOS no-till sitting on a SWICK is so rediculously easy I sometimes forget that other methods require more care and attention. :battingeyelashes:

You mean nugwrasslin, right? ;)

Yes I did :laughtwo: I came flying back here to correct that, hoping I'd caught it before you. LOL! That's very out of character for me, but it's the second time I've done it this morning. Haha! Sorry. You really are more important to me than that oversight suggests. I've been all over the site this morning, flying between conversations. Time to take a break and maybe a walk. :battingeyelashes:

You enjoy your ski trip. :circle-of-love:

I did a big ol' defoliation on both plants today.

The original amnesia still looks a little unhappy and over nitrogenated, or getting cooked by my lights due to height, I don't really know.

Still haven't set up my SWICK yet because I realized the perlite I bought was nute enriched... no no no! Return to sender ASAP!

I can feel the tension building! 100 photo update and I am sitting on the edge of my seat! :high-five:
Bob ;)

Well I hope I don't disappoint!

I'm a little disappointed at myself with this grow. The whole light situation has been lurking in the back of my mind the entire grow.

Even though we're at 38 days of flowering today with time to go, I know that only so much volume can be put on in a short time.

I ran too few lights for this grow and all the vegetative growth in the world doesn't make up for that :(

I'm pulling just under 300W at the wall all lights combined, I bought a 300W, and 150W fluorescent CFL equivalent i'm going to throw in to maybe pull a little extra weight here towards the end of flowering.

Come on man those are looking fantastic. They look like they are going to stack nicely and have quite a while to go. What is the breeder time on those? They look pretty darn like my Lemonista at that many days and she went nuts between 40-now. Have faith! I also don't see any N overdose in my eyes at least.
:Namaste:
Bob ;)

Hey only just found your journal, looking really good! Dont sweat the light issue youll know for next time, just think we are constantly learning :) But you still have some gorgeous girls there.

Cant wait to see the rest of the grow :)
