I just had another look at ya pics, almost looks like sunburn.Sometimes I've moved a pot from the shade into the sun and that can burn the leaves. What was the nutrients you used?
Off-topic: I accidentally smashed the bottom of the stem out when I was cleaning my baby the other day, so I stuck a 5c piece in the hole (perfect size) and did 2 layers of aquarium epoxy and it's as good as ever!
As for my plants, I left them for about a week and then pulled off the burnt leaves. Everything seems fine now.
Here are some updated pictures:
Edit: Oh, I also put up a green mesh screen to hide them and cut down the light a little which should just help them switch into flowering right?
They look to be flowering already, having a delayed or darker dawn is an option sometimes, if you can keep them shaded for a few extra hours in the morning. But they will continue to flower anyway, the exact process is not fully understood yet, it's related to a hypothetical hormone called Florigen.
So I recently found out that I've had my nutes wrong. I thought in regards to NPK ratios for veg it was High-low-low/med, and flowering was low-high-low, but it's low-high-med/high right?
One neighbour has a plant himself, and on my other side there isn't a house. They're stinky but not tooo bad. My sense of smell is pretty shit though haha
Great looking plants mate, I think if you can really just let them go another 6-8 weeks should come up nicely. They look a little sunburnt at the tips but not too bad.
The above guys are right, your number 1 problem from now will be people noticing/ripping off your grow.
Absolute cracker mate, you have done well! Cant wait to see how everything turns out, ill be keeping a keen eye. You make mine look like babys. hope my next gen can be half the size of yours, will need some artificial light to stand any chance!
The potted one had one cola that was sort of shrivelling and i gave it some water every day and left it but it didn't repair itself so i pulled it off this morning. Saw 2 more underneath... do you know what it could be?
on the plus side the rest of the buds are looking small but nice, they've gone really brown before the rest
What you are looking at is your plants wilting. You can read some general stuff about it here.
Once your girls get above 28-30 C they will stop transpiration and pretty much shut down. Over 35 C you are doing damage (i.e. 'wilting') that will affect yield.
High humidity also contributes to wilting (humidity can build in 'pockets' of low air movement), as does poor drainage, under-watering etc etc.
There are a bunch of products that claim to reduce heat stress and plant wilt (both foliar and root zone stuff).
Do you have a thermometer or hygrometer out near the plants for reference?
You just have to come up with some ideas to keep the girls cool and comfortable while outdoors. It's no different to you standing outside naked in the hot sun, you would get stressed and uncomfortable pretty quickly! Also look into your root zone and see if you can get some better hydration/drainage occurring.
Oh yeah well it was about 38C yesterday so that explains it... it's been pretty hot. What would you suggest? We've got a water misting thing that i could tie along the fence/roof?
Misters work great, some kind of shadescreen is your other option (or both), you can probably get some cheap shade screen from Bunnings. You would only have to use that stuff on days over 30C, many people have a shadescreen on a roller they can bring out when needed.
Those big oscillating room fans can help as well but might be a bit impractical outdoors.
