I enjoy the mother pukka range..I had the soil version for my last grows and it seemed ok . So I brought the starter set for 150. For this grow.. the only thing i wont use is the reggea roots as i dont think it's applicable to hydro lmao.

Never used root 66 yet but if used the reggae roots and it's great stuff, I'm looking at using the House and Garden Root Accelerator instead of mother pukkas range just as I know it's bang on.

What size airpot did you use bud?

I got my fabric pot off eBay,It's 20l nd about 12inch deep..plenty of spsce for a good air root system... the net pot is about 5x5 inch.. width and depth

So i realized there has been one vital error in my design... air flow.. rubber =sealed .. as a result I've noticed my plants showing as being over watered..... not good...

The clawing started a day or 3 ago.. I should have realized when the purple growth stopped.. they havnt grown in around a week..

So I've mixed a h202 solution and got it in the soil... that'll raise the oxygen there... and also In the drink.. and then we have addressed the problem.. by cutting slits and holes around the res bowl... it will also act as an overflow..

The problem was I stopped the capillary action by having the rubber seal the unit.. this stopped the airflow and surface transfer of gasses.. so I was suffocating the poor girls... lesson learnt now though..

I reckon I should see improvements by morning if not... then the issue may be slightly more serious, as in not enough aeration in the soil... let's hope that's not so much the case.

Well I've just had a check on the girls.. and they look to be coming back onto our way of thinking... the clawing has reversed a little bit and they are looking for the light again...

I know wind burn wasn't the cause but as a precaution I turned my fans down and 1 off completely..I'll run at half the intensity untill they recover fully. Another 24hours at the very least

So we have lift again... looks like the dump of h202 and the cutting of holes worked a treat.

Capillary action is taking place already I could feel it. The leaves have perked back up within 12 hours...

So back on course boys and girls

They are frowned upon in octopot systems as it flares the ph up and down... the pots can handle a slight fluctuation but not massive amounts... I've just check in on them again and they are looking more then fine now...

Tommorrow I'm sure there will be plenty of purple fresh fast growth coming through

Boom... pretty girl one and 2 have deffo perked back up... and we have new growth again.

They have gained a touch of height I think as well.. I had turned mylgy intensity down and the fans it's all seemed to help and today when I looked there was nice purple growth...

The growth is on both plants and multiple of the colas sooooo. Buzzing..

I'm just hoping it wasn't the boost of h202 that did it and that the pots are functioning as per requirement lmao.. I'll know in about a week I reckon.. I've also put an order in for more h202.. this can get expensive lmao.

But recap when building d.i.y don't overlook the simple things... fucking air flow

Hey guys... just got back from work. Stuck my head in the tent and had a little rearrangement... I've tucked my lights up tight to the top and sides.. I've got a feeling these sods are about to burst.

Would you look at the purple in this bitch too...

Just a quick pic update: bushy bushy bushy loving the Bush..

I've dumped some more h202 into the res just to pump up the DO (dissolved oxygen) lvls... I've got 12ls of water in there so I've added 1l of h202 to each res this should make it around 10% at 6%strength ..

Also I've been adjusting my lights thru the day. The quantums are on at min power for about 3 hours (4-7am), whilst the vipar is off, When I get up I turn them up full brightness and switch on my viparspectra on blurple only. Goto work from 8 till 4 ish. Around 5ish I turn my vipar back off and leave the quantum full power. Around 9pm I turn the quantum down to minimum power again.. I think my wattage ranges from 35w - 135w.

I just think all these lights on constant is enough to stress the fuckers right out. So at least this way it's not all go go go they get rest periods and ramped up to full steam..

No one can run full steam 24/7

Hey guys.. Just got home from work and checked on the girls... we have 9 days left till we flip... roughly, depending on how I feel....

So every fan leaf except the last few at the end of the branch has been taken. Again to allow for further branch in to develop quicker and not hide behind all those dirty fan leaves.

But honestly check back in 3 days and they'll be bushes nearly again...

I'm not happy with the amount the roots have grown.they arnt putting alot out down there in the tank. But they are fricking cocaine white

Yh I'm quite happy with what's happening now brix.. the top atleast.. Again the roots havnt quite put out enough for me. But I have read that some plants don't out out too many down there. It's about species apparently which makes sense..

Less then 24hrs though and they speak for them selves after that defol... I cnt wait to flip that switch In 7 days
