Fudo's Spring Organic Sativa Grow

Took the day off. Biscotti 2.0, Acapulco Gold and Gorilla Cookies all mixed in a Hubbabubba hemp wrap. This should do the trick.

Pass the dutchie to the left hand side. It's me, I'm the left hand side! :passitleft:

Today is day 26. The girls are not showing anymore deficiencies. It seems to be confined to the 1st node on all four plants. Everything else is coming in nice and green so far, could be a little greener but not bad.
The MP’s are still pretty droopy. They perk up now and again, but this has been their m.o. They may just be thirsty. I’ve been watering very sparingly in an attempt to grow roots. I gave them a top sprinkle, 1/2 tsp each of Happy Frog all purpose and a 1/2q of water. It’s the most they’ve got so far and they seem to like it.
I still haven’t got around to ordering a weather station. The hygrometers are showing 75F all around and 62%H at the soil and 52%H at the canopy.

Glad they survived your absence but they do look a little hungry overall. I guess once the roots get into the new soil they'll find all the nutrients built in?

Yeah, until the frickin' deer shows up again! :)
Yeah I’m hoping that’s all it is…

The deer and critters are relentless. That’s why I gave up on my garden and why my one tomato plant is in a pot lol.

Much better. They either liked the fertilizer sprinkling or the roots got into some good stuff. Either way the MP’s put out their 6th set of leaves basically over night. I’m almost done worrying about them. Or it could just be that I finally watered them a little lol.
I’m going to start a tea for them tonight. So I’m thinking one tea then a topping, then a recovery period. By then they should be ready for transplant to their final 7 gal bags where I’ll start training them.
I’m going to be a little gentler this round. I was a little heavy handed last time with the LST, I usually am. Although I got some good seeds last time, I’d like to avoid hermaphroditism for these. They’re too good for that nonsense.

And here’s the biggest plant I ever grew. 12.5 ounces. Blue Mystic . I just like the picture.

Inspector didn’t seem too impressed.

Got the tea underway. I skipped the tea bag this time, according to Rev it’s pointless. Pretty much used his recipe too, minus the humus, plus 1/4 cup of lobster compost and I accidentally put in bone meal. Oops, only calls for blood meal. They both start with B.
:lot-o-toke:
I’m also doing a much smaller batch. It’s got to be stronger with all that going directly in the water.

The humidity was low and all the pots were light but the Biscotti cup. I transplanted her into a larger pot and gave them all a good soaking. The 4 took 2qts water/tea, 1:1.
I’m expecting them to take off a bit. The tea looked good. It was nice and foamy at the 18hr mark so I used it.
I’m not going to top the Biscotti. I’m letting it go all natural to avoid any stress at all. It’s just a seed test and I don’t want to chance a hermie and contaminate the others. Hope it makes it, I could alway use a little more smoke.
I added the mulch layer and also a sticky trap for preventative maintenance.

Looking good except for those seriously tacoed top leaves on the second Malawi cross. Is that how the new leaves grow and then they open up?
So far yeah. I’ve never seen that before but I’ve never grown Sativas either. The leaves are quite a bit thinner on that one. That’s also the one that started off with funky growth. She’s not as robust as her sister but she’s keeping pace node wise. I think they’re both working on their 7th.

Here ya go @InTheShed , yesterday vs today

I have the identical thing happening to one of my Sativa girls.
Recently up potted her from a cup to a one gallon into a super soil blend.

Initially I thought it was some type of nute burn from the up pot.
She wasn't topped and her two sisters were topped. The topped sisters weren't impacted.

Currently on the fence as to top or fem her. Think I'll give her some RO water and give it a couple of days.

They hadn’t been watered since Saturday and last night they were droopy when I got home. I gave them a swig to get them through the night.
This morning I split a gallon with 1/4 tsp each of cal-mag and Recharge between them. Next watering I’ll water to a decent run off.
They look to be about where I want them. Let’s hope it stays that way.
