FutRfarmers First Grow With QB's & Doc's High Brix

I would wait another day. Unless they feel really crisp. I hang whole plants now and wait for the smallest branches to get to the point where they start to snap. I hang dry for 5-7 days typically. I have jarred at about the same stage you are at and feel that my cure would have been better had I not rushed it and waited a day. Just my .02!

Thanks Yeti and I agree. Thinking about how I chop my plants and I chop them up into smaller pieces which probably contributed to the quicker dry.

Thanks guy's. I'll wait another day, I'm checking the smaller ones more frequently, they are sticky more then wet. The stems do feel close to snapping over kinking. I'm sure I'll be jarring some smaller branches tomorrow I really appreciate all the help :high-five: I did just try a small airy lower that I clipped by accident sunday. has me feeling pretty good, little harsh and not so tasty but it was drying on a paper plate in a closet, I'm not complaining at all:blunt:I might try the whole plant hang with the amnesia lemon, nice I have a straggler so I can compare. And ween I did get 10 hygrometer's and temp gauge for the jars:high-five:

Amnesia lemon looking frosty as hell im going to try and let her out in as much weight as possible

Did you wet trim? That hay smell is very common when you wet trim. The plant is still alive when you are trimming all the leaves fresh and that causes the plant to respond. The result is grassy or hay smell when drying. If you want to avoid that just pull the fans and any of the closer leaves without resin, try to leave the scissors alone except to cut branches. That is one of the benefits of dry trimming. I know everyone has their preferred method but I've tested this and have recommended to another grower to give it a try when he said his harvests always smelled like hay. He tried it next harvest and was blown away by the difference. I don't spend much time at all on harvest day now and I don't trim hardly at all when dry. I let the jars do most of the trimming but I don't care about looks it all gets ground up eventually.

This is basically what i do. Pull the big fans and anything else that you can pull with your fingers. I have large half gallon (tall) jars that they go into for the first 2-3 weeks, getting burped, and the usual routine. Then i have smaller quart size that i go through and hand pick, and hand trim flowers before going into these jars. And although its personal, i still do a personal stash, and a common stash for sharing. Mostly my daughter. She reaps most of the benefits of me growing.

Amazing looking sticky buds brother! Congrats!

:passitleft:Thank you brother!!! Wouldn’t have been here without your help :high-five:

great info thank you! I’m filling the half gallon jars also. And plan on filling some smaller jars with choice buds after the 2-3 week routine. I’m looking into long term storage be nice to preserve until next winter if possible

If you find any good techniques for "longer term" storage, let us know. Thanks.

Oh ya...that's a great yield Farmers...doesn't surprise me,...you let her ripen properly , and she got heavy and solid.

:high-five:...How does she smoke?
Very nice, I only took 2 good hits last night and was melting into my couch with tingly legs. Smells amazing also
