Hello everyone and welcome to my latest journal where I'll be trying to grow quality and quantity in a small 90x60x90cm tent project where I'll be trying to achieve a 140-220g yield under 150w of Mars Led planted in 70/30 coco/perlite mix using Cannas basic nutrients.

So my plan is to lift the tent 14" and cut a whole in the bottom of the tent and velcro it tight against the maid stem this way my plant pot is on the outside of the tent and my canopy can be a low enough to get a good stretch but tight bud stack.

My plan is to top at the 4-5th node and then start fitting the net while weaving and tucking to try and fill 75% of the net to allow a 25% stretch which I'm really hoping I can get a 20cm canopy height then allow a good 20-40cm final bud height leaving 50cm for both light and air filter.

North Thunderfuck: The Successor of Matanuska Thunderfcuk Bx3

The imposing structure of North Thunderfuck gives a mild indication of the sheer force her high can inflict. Resembling a small Christmas tree, she descends from parent variety Matanuska Thunderfuck Bx3. The delicate but sophisticated skills of RQS' expert breeders have given rise to our very own iteration. Despite the mystery surrounding her initial creation, there is no doubt about the unrelenting potency her modern genetics offer.

How to Grow North Thunderfuck

Don’t worry, with great power comes relatively simple growing requirements and high yields. Her diverse heritage gifts many highly desirable traits. A tollerance of colder climates matches moderate resistance to disease. Conveniently, being able to handle colder temperatures goes hand-in-hand with her preference for being grown outdoors. Indoor growers will still be met with the same resinous buds as their outdoor counterparts. Indoor plants yield up to 500g/m², whereas outdoor plants produce between 500–550g/plant. Her flowering time is roughly 65 days, a drop in the ocean when you consider the dank haul that awaits. Outdoors, growers can expect to harvest mid-October.

Flavours and Effects of North Thunderfuck

The high starts deceptively. Building in flavour and impact with each hit, up to 23% THC begins to creep through your body. Her citrus scent envelops the senses, encouraging you to indulge in joint after joint. As the phenomenon starts to build, even marijuana aficionados begin to feel a tingling sensation settle into their bodies. Before you know it, euphoria hits like a train, knocking you back into your seat and keeping you there for several hours. Waves of uplifting happiness continue to wash over you as her earthy, piney notes assert themselves more and more.

If anyone has grown this strain I'd love to read your views on the strain.

First I've heard of it, but they really make it sound like a good one.
Mind if I ride along?
Yes me too I got them specifically for the knockout claims they say as that's one aspect of growing I've never been able to achieve and that's a proper high, I couldn't tell you how many I've grown all different strains all same outcome of sane taste same high so yes sit back enjoy the ride I may just get it right this time :)
I second that motion 💚
As a youngster I always overheard my parents their friends chirping about what they're smoking and the thunderfuck strain was always a winner baby 🥰
You're growing a Legend 💪
:ganjamon:
Well atleast it's been well known in the ages so let's hope i can get the same outcome as all those years ago :)

So after a rocky and time consuming time my original seedling was damaged due to my own fault and my current two also got of to a rocky start completely all my fault due to ill health not being motivated.

I'm quite happy with this growth after 7 days even though the pots look drenched they aren't I'm just allowing 50ml of feed to soak the coco daily, my plan was to plant into a final pot from seedling which was planning to be a 15-20L however with two I'm now thinking 7-10L pots or ina project scenario would be to place these current pots on top of another pot and allow the roots to travel through, either way hopefully the great white will make the roots happy.

Due to this being a small tent project that was meant for one plant now each of these plants now have 45x60cm 50mm² screens to flower into so not a great deal of space but enough go try and make a difference, my original idea being scrogs but I'd love to read your recommendations for other ideas on how to achieve a better yield as I'm going through 1oz a week right now

@Bill284 is my GoTo for coco, but he'll tell you to feed everyday to run-off, cal/Mag first in the water then pH to 5.8. I think. But he'll confirm. He also builds his media with perlite layers rather than all mixed in and has great results.

I don't Scrog (tried it once and found it a pain) but prefer to quadline (link in my sig) as I find it easier to work on the plants through the grow and at harvest, but plenty of growers like the net.

Good morning Azi :ciao:
Thanks for the tag. :thanks:
You sound like an old coco pro. :Namaste:
Always calmag in your plain water first.
Then nutrients according to the schedule.
Then set ph to 5.8 and feed to runoff daily.
Never any plain water.
Don’t run a net myself.
Same thing, it’s a pain.
I grow them big and fast and just crank the main stem over.
I get huge plants in a hurry.
Great for volume.
@HigherTheHigh check my journals I have pictorials of everything for a big coco harvest in them.
I’m always around if you have questions.
Talk soon my friend.

Stay safe
Bill284 😎

Thanks for the replies I appreciate the help, taking on what you've all said I think I'll just wait till they veg up then post some pictures as time goes on and see what you all think, I've completed a few successful scrogs but never this small of an area so we'll see.

Thankfully the growth is going great and they are currently on canna start at a rate of 3ml/L but no calmag yet due to my water thankfully being pretty good on that level but I will be feeding daily calmag come the day they go under my Led.

They are currently still under my T5 with a propagation lid on simply due to the house pets trying to get a sly nibble as they walk past but no base so airflow is fine so let's hope another 10 more days and we may be able to possibly top them at the 4th node.

I'm reading a lot about this strain and seeing the same great reviews so I really do hope I get this right but someone may be able to pitch in on how long they flowered/cured for just to get an overall rough estimated time line.

Awesome start 👍🏼😁.....what's a grow without a hick up here or there to spice things up ? Lol.

Any how the seedlings look great, keep up the good work.... And you got some good advice from some pro level gardeners above.

Wish you luck and I'll be following along.:headbanger:

You need to lose the lid if you want strong, healthy plants. Lids are for unsprouted seeds and cuttings you're trying to root. Keep them under the dome and all you'll do is raise coddled, weak growing plants that will have to be hardened off before they get growing.

Find another barrier for your pets if needed, but ixnay to the dome.
