TrysHard's Hydro Grandaddy Blueberry Indica Grow 2014

DC uses those humidity packs, could those help? Might not with your low humidity situation.

This post in the Harvest Forum is great:
Curing
for drying and curing hell yes they help. keeps them perfect with 0 mold. I am gonna have to order 20 more here real soon. these BB's are huge and gonna need more than i have on hand. The BB's are elephant dicks. Clubs they are.

Haven't smoked in a week, took a couple hits and now I can't think straight.
:lot-o-toke: What are you doing trying to prove you can overdose on Cannabis? I always like trying.

im told i am not allowed to share this cab. so ill get it patented in his name and make millions and give him his share. lmao. I read 2 threads on this cabinet and omg unreal. I will get one when i visit Michigan this summer. I hang with the big boys. I am gonna try and learn all i can from them. much respect to them.
That will be great learning experience. It will be the little things that they do from doing it so much that add up I'm sure. Lots of look here this plant needs this and that one needs that and so on.

Where do you order them from?

I'll be grabbing bovedas when I get closer to harvest.
bovedas?

bovedas?

I try every time I can. My tolerance builds back after first night. Wish there was a strain that got you ripped every time regardless of your tolerance.

Bovedas are those desiccant moisture control packs you put in Mason jar for curing. Can't afford a cvault yet

You must have a high tolerance, I can still get ripped, just takes an extra hits or two. I vape, and retired so I'm pretty much into maintaining a buzz mostly. But I like to get ripped and then play video games on my Playstation.

I tend to get stoned easier if I don't smoke daily
a couple of weeks of no smoke and all it takes is a half a hit
of course over time tolerance builds back up then its just the same maintaining a buzz
but now im hardly gonna be ingesting any of it because of randoms on the job
but as long as theres a card in the house ill keep growing, that's part of the big fun
I can just enjoy the growing of it, love to smoke it but if I cant the growing is good enough :thumb:

I know the job thing, have had to deal with it in the past. I have been able in the past to stop smoking pot when necessary, fairly easily. Usually if I keep busy, I never miss it. Unfortunately I get bored easily. I read about your new job, good luck. Is it in Cali?

okay dont matter if you use ebay or another site search for "boveda humidipak 62%) there are 2 sizes the ones for small medium jars are $1 each those are the ones i get. they do 62% both ways up and down. If you want your buds to cure perfect i suggest getting them. you can reuse them as long as you dont let them dry out. once you have a jar done curing and dont need them put them into a jar that has buds in it with another pak so then when you need it you take 1 out and leave 1 in. I also suggest finding a mini humidity gauge for like $4 on ebay or where ever also so you can verify. I have to order me a couple of those also. they are real inexpensive if you order them from china. I get stuff from china in 14 days usually

Just ordered some and a canister from Amazon....

Nice share DC....

I would not change out your nutrient mixture before your scheduled maintenance, your ppm are in the proper range now. I use disposable vinyl gloves and when I harvest a plant I start by cutting the branches off 1 by 1. I take the branch and first strip off all the fan leaves. I then use a pair of Fiskars Micro Tip Pruning scissors and trim all the sugar leaves flush with the bud. I then take the trimmed branches and place them in my drying rack to dry for 5-7 days or until the buds just break off the stems. I then trim off the buds from the stems and place the buds into storage containers. I take the buds out of the storage containers and place into a large bowl for 10 minutes per day for 10 days.

Fiskars Softouch Micro-Tip Pruning Snip recommended by the arthritis society, They come with a lifetime replacement warranty. One of the handles broke on my last pair, I used the warranty claim on the website and Fiskars replaced them at no cost.

That rack looks sweet. I have heard that if you can hang the whole plant upside down for 3-4 days it made the weed stronger. Is that just folklore? The pruning snip is just what I need. Being on the mature side I think I will need a few pairs of these. I saw that my hydro store has them in stock for about a buck more, so I'll probably go there, I like to support the local guy when it doesn't cost me a whole lot more.

I think I better stop making fun of the big page journal guys, I'm starting to add a page a day. As I get closer I know more will be getting excited about my harvest. So I had some fun with the camera today. When I took the overview picture, I decided that I would start numbering all the zips. I got to 40, and I'm sure I missed a bunch. Next picture session I'll try to take a nice survey shot from above.

Feature Buds Cola 1:

And todays Centerfold is a close up of Cola 1: There is another good 6" of even fatter bud lower down, this section is about 14" Its actual size is between the two pictures above with it being closer to the close up about 80% of it. The trellis has 6" squares. It is number 21 in the overview picture:

Pictures of the Nice Bud and the Twins were not up to standards.

This is a picture of a popcorn branch that I'm trying to Zip it up. We will have to see if I can fatten it up to Zip Status, it has been tied up a few days and its already developing:
P5094383.JPG

I also took a quadrant pictures from above:
Upper right, Cola 1 is the big bud in the center, cola 2 is the one in the back on the long stalk and cola 3 is on the right:
P5094373.JPG

Lower Right this area is just jammed with Zips, you might think that big bud is Cola 1 but its not. This is the section of the tent that has the plant that I broke off to get my single plant grow plant, I broke off the main stalk only two nodes left on the main stalk:
P5094374.JPG

Lower Left this is the area with the Twins and Nice Bud which you can see far left leaning on the side of the tent, the twins are in front of Nice Bud:
P5094375.JPG

Upper Left, just imagine how many more zips I could have produced from this area with better planning. That Blue guy goes outside the tent on the next grow.
P5094376.JPG

Finally it was a good day for clear pictures so here is the bud porn:
Here is a nice cluster picture with Cola 1,2 and 3 labeled the centerfold bud was a mistake, after labeling the picture I wrote over the original file, I do have a nice clear picture of that centerfold bud but I changed my mind as to which one I wanted to use:
P5094379.JPG

Some more cluster pictures that show the density of the buds:

P5094371.JPG

Finally some buds that are frosting up, still not totally happy with the level of frostiness, but I know the trichomes are there, just not big enough yet. I hope they do in the last two weeks.

I hope you like the little extra effort I am putting in to make my updates more interesting. I know seeing the same buds and plants over and over can be boring.

Oh I solved the problem with the leaves. I pulled one off and it had dirt on it. When I was adding the Heisenberg tea, I couldn't get low down for the back plants and I tried to pour it from up top and obviously wet those leave and the light burned them, they were crispy. It was why the one leaf on Cola 1 was only half discolored only half of it got wet.

I got curious and the lights just came on so I checked out where the big(er) colas come from. Remember my earlier pics I had attempted to some training. There are six pots total and they are arranged in two rows of three.

P5094357.JPG

Cola one on the right side is coming from the middle pot on the left. #21 in the picture.
Cola two in the middle back comes from the top right pot. #25 in the picture.
Cola 3 is actually residing above its pot, it is the one I broke and there was no training involved with it. #18 in the picture.

The upper left pot is home to Nice Bud which has stretched down to the lower left pot against the side of the tent. #3 on the picture.

The lower left pot main cola is hard to tell because but it ends with cola #11 but 33, 37 and 5 are all on that main branch.

The lower right pots top cola is #10.

So I credit the bending and manipulating I did for all the big colas. If cola 1 was standing straight up it would be 6' tall, its only about 4'.

Seems like it! I love gold rush and Deadliest catch though.

Check out Flying Wild Alaska. I really like that show!
