Flower Day 48

All plants were watered with a nutrient solution consisting of 3 millilitres per gallon of Flora Gro, 5 millilitres per gallon of Flora Micro, 10 millilitres per gallon of Flora Bloom, 3 millilitres per gallon of Liquid KoolBloom and 5 millilitres per gallon of Cal-Mag Plus.

Those flowering pics look amazing KJC. You've asked me again if i have considered lighting my new grow space with LED's and i can tell you that once i have the money, i will most likely be going LED as my light source

I am very happy with the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x's performance. I have seen that the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x is capable of vegetative a plant as well as a Metal Halide light, I have seen that the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x is capable of flowering cannabis plants as well as a High Pressure Sodium light at Flower Day 48. I have noticed the angle that the fan leaves are growing upward is much higher under the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x then I would normally see under a High Pressure Sodium light. As you can see in the Flower Day 48 photographs all of the plants colas are covered in trichomes and are flowering very well.

Would you say that the Lush LED's are at par with MH during veg and HPS during flower, or do they outperform the standard lighting? At least from your experience......

a couple other journals i follow happen to use LED's ChronicHempHog in particular has some great results from his LED's. They clearly seem to work wonders. Its just the initial costs of purchasing that has me at a stalemate. Once the room is built and such, i will be saving up to make the switch to LED's once the first run is over However, due to how much cheaper i can light my room with MH/HPS, i will be going this route on the first run in the new room. Plus, the selection that my local hydro store has for LED's isn't that great, so i will have to order my LED panels online most likely when the time comes.

Theres a few people out there doing some nice comparisons between LED companies, so this review on Lush (which is the first and only one i've seen) will be a nice bit of information to take in when it comes time to decide on which panel i would like.

Hopefully by the time that comes, you've finished your Znet4 review i remember you mentioning that you will be doing soon/next (unless i was dreaming when i read that!!)

you may want to consider a hybrid setup if cost a factor to start out with too, or as you go. And depending on the cost of electricity in your area, your savings will come back VERY fast particularly if using some of the less expensive panels. Even with the spendy ones like the Lush you will still re coup your investment in a surprisingly short time.

I would say I am seeing the Lush Lighting Dominator 2x perform equally as a Metal Halide light in vegetative growth and equally as a High Pressure Sodium light in flower at Flower Day 48. I hope to see the AK48's calyxes on the buds begin to swell that make up the bulk of the bud weight in the next 14 days as well as the AK47x Alaskan Thunder has.

well alrighty then i did notice the fans were behaving much like they do under my favorite led, i have always felt that hps beats the bud out o the plants,(like an armed robbery) they do it but dont seem as happy about it, such aggressive light will perform but in my exp the final product is not as potent,pretty or flavorful as with led and now a dayz the yeild is just as good if not better, i did a led vs hps a few journals ago with my second led panel and i got up to 1 oz more per plant on the same strain (sour diesel#2 hso) and the hps got like 2 weeks more veg time, the buds were denser and tastier from led!
im glad the lush is treating you right kjc :rocker:

Jaamz, Gimp is open source software that does photo editing,etc similar to photoshop

Most newer cameras will have a 'custom white balance' setting that does same thing too. That is what I use for my pics under LED.
